[25/NB] Mail always makes me smile

Hoi hoi!

We are Snow, and we use they/them pronounce collectively.

We're a Dutch system/ plural (which means multiple beings in one body). We're neurodivergent, polytheist/ omnist, spiritual, Queer and some of us are non-human to varying degrees.

Our main interests are animals (primarily dogs and their role in society), music, cozy gaming, travelling, reading, art, and stories.

Aside from listening to a variety of different music genres, we are also learning to play piano and guitar. We're very proud of the progress we've made over the past years, but still mainly play because it makes us happy and not to get good as fast as we can. Still, having to skip a lesson always makes us sad.

We love being creative, just for fun. We're by no means a professional artist or anything 😉 Our favorite mediums to use are coloring, painting, drawing, and writing.

With our writing is usually being related to the story we're working on, but we also worldbuild, write or just come up with short stories, and (occasionally) write poetry.

A few more recent Hobbys are crocheting and zentangles. We tried embroidery and we do like it but we also always spend forever fighting to thread the needle😂

Learning new languages and learning about different cultures are also things we enjoy. We currently speak both Dutch and English fluently, are brushing up on our German after some of it faded away since we finished secondary school, and are learning Spanish. Ideally we'd like to speak both Spanish like they do in Spain and like they do in 1(+) Latin American country.

Once we got either our German or Spanish to a level we're happy with, we're planning to learn Italian and/or Japanese.

It's important to us to have a similar political stance. We believe that everything is political. Human rights are important, as is human creativity. Nature should and needs to be protected and not further damaged. None of us are free unless we are all free. All those things 💕 🏳️‍🌈 🍉

We also believe that art and artist are connected, so we try to be mindful of who we (financially) support as much as we can. We'd very much appreciate it if you did the same. We're not as strict with it as we'd like but we still do our best.

Finally, we are open to people from anywhere except for the US as we already have several penpals from there and we'd like to get to know people from all over the world. 🌏 That said we're always happy to chat so feel free to send us a message anyway!

Looking forward to hear from you!

Ciao! 😊

Travel with mobility aids

Hi all!

Sometime in the upcoming months we will be taking our first flight while using mobility aids. Since the crutches are made of metal we worry about getting through security and were wondering how we can best go about this.

We are European and will be staying within europe.

Thank you!

Resources what to get what to avoid

Hello everyone

We were wondering what some good resources would be for getting into herbalism/making your own teas and which resources you would absolutely \*\*\*not\*\*\* reccomend. We looked up if there was a similar post on here which didn't seem to be the case, or if there is it didn't use words similar to resource from what we could find. Appreciate your help thank you 😊

suggestions for non-combat anime?

Lately just want to watch stuff without people dying, intense/big fights, or killing etc all over the place. It doesn't need to be slice of life though, as long as it isn't a horror, thriller or otherwise scary anime either.

What are your favourite anime with adult main characters

Basically what the title says. If you know we'd appreciate it if you could include the genre of the anime, if it's a movie or series, and/or what it is about.

I'm always looking for new (to us) anime and currently really want to watch more of them with adult main characters. I doubt we're the only one so let's help each other out please 😊

We've been enjoying/ have enjoyed:

  • "Victoria of many faces" which is a fantasy drama and romance series about a spy running away and trying to start a new and peaceful life in a neighboring kingdom - currently airing

  • Another one is "Isekai office worker: the other world's books depend on the beancounter", the title is pretty self-explanatory. An isekai fantasy BL anime series

  • "The invisible man and his soon-to-be wife" is a fantasy romance series between an invisible man and a blind woman working at a detective agency.

(side note: why are all these romances???)

  • "Camfire cooking in another world" honestly one of our go-to comfort shows. About a guy being isekai'd and being the only one who doesn't have hero-like abilities and therefore leaves the castle, instead making use of his online grocery skill as he makes friends and travels through this new world while making the most delicious (mostly korean) dishes. An adventure, fantasy, comedy and (though minimal) Action anime. We would add slice of life as a category as well personally

  • "With you and the rain" is a slice of life anime series about an introverted illustrator/writer randomly adopting what she claims is a dog on a rainy day.

  • "Heaven official's blessing" is a BL action drama romance series based in ancient china following the former-prince-now-called-god-of-misfortune due to spoilers. As he lives his life and encounters this mysterious man with whom he discovers and uncovers secrets the heavenly realm would rather keep hidden.

  • And lastly "welcome to outcast restaurant" is a fantasy slice of life about a former member of the hero's couch couch party. After he's kicked out he decides to follow his dream to become a chef, opening a restaurant for adventures. Soon finding out that he'll need more than just his cooking to solve his costumers' problems. This series does have a minor as important side character - series

Books with disabled MCs

Hi everyone!

We have absolutely loved a currently releasing anime (love unseen beneath the clear night sky) that has a blind fmc and have been following a manga (the moon on a rainy night) of which one of the mcs is hard of hearing. Now we would love to read more books that have one or more disabled Main Characters. It doesn't need to be a romance, but we don't read scary books (no thriller, horror, most darker leaning mysteries, etc). It doesn't particularly matter to us if its a graphic novel, manga, or "normal" book. And the target audience can be any age from a young child to adult.

Thank you in advance!

Holiday books

Hi everyone!

I stumbled along a post that reminded me of something that I'm dying to read more of. Holiday books that aren't centred around Christmas. There are too little of those, at least that we know of. We're looking for any kind of holiday cultural or religious or other kinds of holidays. (Examples: winter/ summer solstice, Eid-al-Fitr, lunar new year, Dia dos Mortos / Dia dos Fiéis Defuntos, Hanukkah, etc)

This post is both for ourselves and for everyone else who is looking for similar books.

Post mentioned above

(We are learning Spanish very very slowly. We also speak German but that's been a while so we're rusty. The plan is to pick up a 5th language too but not sure which one yet 🤔)

You ain't happen to be looking for a new friend are ya? (multiple characters, looking for rp)

(Edit: you don't have to play multiple characters. These are just OCs we'd like to use. You can just pick one of them)

Hello and well met!

Sorry to interrupt out of nowhere but i couldn't help but overhear that you would like to meet some more people. You are not the only one, i happen to have a couple of friends who would love to meet new folk as well. If you are interested i can give you some information about them?

Yeah? Alright let's see.

  • First we have Nicholas Strange He only tends to be around at night, he's a vampire you see. Though i hear he recently got a his hands on a ring that should let him walk around in the sun too. I believe there were some restrictions but i don't know the details. He is a nice guy, and suprisingly good fighter. I couldn't beat him if he gave it his all. The guy is new to the region, came from a place very far away. I'm sure he'll tell you about it if you ask.
  • Then there is Astrid. I am sure you have heard of her, she is a very powerful enchantress after all. Or maybe ya haven't, she doesn't leave her tower all that often, despite her portals being top-notch. I can attest to that myself. She can be a bit cocky and arrogant, and she doesn't tend to do anything for free. Still, i think you might get along once you get to know her a lil' bit. She has a good heart, and doesn't give up easily once she made a decision.
  • Hayden King is always looking for new connections. He is very polite, nice, generous and patient. Or do i need to call him Lysander Kingsley now? You know from that noble famlily that has been making all sorts of improvements and standing up for the common folk recently. Now that i think about it, Hayden is somehow connected to all of that. He used to work at a sweet little cafe, but around Samhein something apparently happened, leading to the cafe being inaccessible for a while and him and his coworkers being unable to leave. Caught him change shape after that on accident, wanted to check in and see how he was doing. Ya can imagine how shocked i was when i saw the youngest Kingsley son suddenly appear in front of my eyes!
  • And finally there is ???? they are one of my most mysterious friends. Can become anyone and anything depending on the situation. So unfortunately i don't have a lot to say about them. You'll have to decide if you want to meet them for yourself or not.

Aright- I do have a couple other friends, but i think this is enough for now. Wouldn't want to give too much information all at once and four is good number. A very lucky one in my opinion.

Give 'm my regards if you reach out to any of them aye?
