June was a good month

Passive income allowed me to quit my job and travel the world.

Currently in Amsterdam.

I think everyone should pursue an online side gig. It might start out slow, but in a year or two, be fruitful.

Would you guys be interested in a Night Cycling Subreddit?

I moderate /r/NightCycling and just discovered this subreddit. Immediately joined.

My sub could use some more traction as we are a small but growing reddit community.

Lost 5k being greedy today

My strategy was simple, just copy other people's trades online. But what they buy, when they buy it. Sell when they sell.

Simple.

But I got greedy and held a winning position too long until it went into the red. I should have just continued what i was doing.

Learn from my mistakes boys. I'm now down to 16k. My goal is to trade this 16k to at least 100k from my copy trading server this year. Theyll be doing a Small Acc Challenge soon too.

And before the mods freak out on me, its a private server. So no, I wont be sharing it lol

Genuine question from someone considering a transplant long term…

We know that medications like finasteride/minoxidil can slow hair loss, but not permanently stop it forever.

But what happens 10–15 years down the line for people who get transplants young and then continue losing native hair behind the transplanted area?

Do some people eventually end up with that “hair mustache” look in the front with a thin crown island in the back if the meds stop working well enough?

I’m not trying to be rude at all, I’m genuinely curious how surgeons and patients plan for this long term. Is the idea that:

- you’ll likely need multiple procedures over your lifetime?

- donor management becomes extremely important?

- modern meds are usually enough to stabilize things long term?

Would love to hear from people 10+ years post-transplant, especially guys who had surgery in their 20s or early 30s.

Is it a coincidence that all the SaaS's here are Meta?

All the SaaS posts I've seen are advertising a way to help grow or market your existing SaaS.

Is it because most people are trying to sell shovels? Or is it because thats just the customer base here?

Same goes for all the other SaaS subreddits. I don't get it.

This is a theory that I’ve held for a long time. If you analyze all of Firestar’s nine lives, you can see that MOST of his nine lives can be linked to the manner in which he died.

Lionheart gave him his first life, COURAGE. When Firestar had lost this life, it was during the battle with Scourge and BloodClan. Firestar needed to exhibit courage to stand his ground in the forest, and take on Scourge in battle against a sea of uncertainty and fear.

Redtail gave him JUSTICE. Firestar was asked to correct the wrongs of his ancestors and rebuild SkyClan, after the clan had been dismantled through injustice. He’d even fallen in battle against the rat hoard to ensure that this correction was seen through.

Silverstream gave him LOYALTY. When Ravenpaw needed ThunderClan’s help, Firestar came to his aid. It was out of loyalty to his old friend that he agreed to assist him in Ravenpaw’s manga.

Runningwind gave him TIRELESS ENERGY. In Dawn, when the forest is coming down, Firestar has to outrun two legs and fallen trees to help ShadowClan escape the human construction. He did manage to save others, but at the cost of his own life.

Swiftpaw gave him MENTORING. When Firestar was caught in the fox trap, it was Brambleclaw who stood over him and protected him from further harm. His own apprentice who he had once distrusted.

Brindleface gave him PROTECTION. When the clan was suffering from greencough, Firestar went with his ill clanmates to the green leaf place. He also ensured that Briarkit as well as Millie received proper care to help out poor worried Graystripe.

COMPASSION was lost off screen so it’s hard to gauge this death unfortunately.

Spottedleaf gave him LOVE. You might wonder how this one applies, since it was lost in an unfair battle against ShadowClan to gain back hunting grounds Firestar gave them. If Ivypool hadn’t invented the dream the caused this battle, I suspect Firestar would have lost his life in a very different manner.

Bluestar gave him NOBILITY. Firestar fell in the battle against the Dark Forest. It was his final test as a leader, and it was the most noble thing that he could have done.

Can this be applied to other leaders, I wonder?

Rowanstar is not a bad leader. In reality, the narrative completely skews the personalities of every other ShadowClan to justify this plotline. If you read it back you can see how Rowanstar really IS NOT responsible for half of the bad things that happened. The narrative just tries really hard to manipulate you into believing he’s the one at fault.

Why should only Rowanstar receive the blame for what happened with the apprentices? Where were their mentors? It sounded as if his clanmates merely wanted to use him as a scapegoat for their own failings.

How did he fail them by being unable to get medicine that Onestar was not providing, and Rowanstar didn’t have enough healthy warriors to seize by force? He could have tried to steal it, but if he’d been caught it would have been disastrous for the clan.

Rowanstar said everyone would soon come to their senses and see Darktail was a poor leader. This does happen— everyone was wrong, while Rowanstar continued to have faith in his clanmates and knew they’d come to their better senses. Immediately after he is proven right, his clan continues to blame HIM for their poor choices.

I don’t even blame Rowanstar for disbanding ShadowClan. Everyone in it is whiny and ungrateful.

I don’t think the narrative of a leader failing to hold their clan together is a bad one per se. But it would have worked better for Tigerheartstar when his relationship with Dovewing was revealed. It also would have explained why he had such high expectations for Shadowkit. This didn’t fit Rowanclaw whatsoever.
