What does net weight mean on packaging and when will it be different than the weight of the meat itself?

I bought a 2 pack of ground turkey at Sam's club. Each package is supposed to be 2lb net weight or 32 oz. One was 30oz and the other was 30.4oz. How much variance between the labeled weight and the actual weight is allowed?

What do we know about the mechanism of action of acetaminophen?

I'm about to start an advanced EMT class and we have to fill out some info on the drugs including the mechanism of action. The instructor said we don't have to get super involved with the chemistry/biochem stuff. I'm also a pre med student and took orgo 1/2 and biochem 1 so now I wanna include that info just for funzies. 😂 When I googled it, it looks like we don't 100% know the MOA of acetaminophen. I'm wondering what exactly we know, how we know that info, and why we don't know more. Like what are the limitations in that research? It been a hot second since I've taken a chem class but my best friend is a chemist in a lab so I'm sure we can figure it out

[Routine Help] How can I treat hyperpigmentation?

I have KP on my legs and have been bad about picking at the bumps. I've gotten better at it and now most of the spots I picked at are healed, but they now have hyperpigmentation. For reference I'm white with fair skin. I'm wondering what I can do to treat the hyperpigmentation. Maybe retinol or salicylic acid?

Problem with HP Laserjet Pro 400 M401n Printer

I just bought this printer used off FB marketplace. I just printed my first document on it. There are streaks on both sides of the paper where the ink seems to be transferring. I figure it may be fixable but I'm not sure exactly what's happening. You can see the same text repeated down that strip. Any ideas on how to fix it?

What can I do for these purse handles?

I just bought this purse off Poshmark and it's in like-new condition. I've used it maybe 3 times and all of a sudden the pleather on the handles are peeling. The shoulder strap is fine so I've been using that. Is there anything I can do to fix the handles? I don't want to throw out a perfectly fine bag of I don't have to. The first picture is from the Poshmark listing and the second is how the handles looked today. I have no idea why it started peeling out of nowhere

What do y'all use for blocking?

So far I've only made a couple days so I've been able to just lay them flat to dry, like in the picture. I'm working on my first sweater so I know I need to get some mats and pins for blocking. Are there any you guys recommend? I think someone had told me once about blocking mats that have checkers in inch sizes so you can also measure stuff on it but I'm not sure where to get those

Question about my missing employer matches on my 401k

I have a 401k through a job I started in August 2024. Contributions are made biweekly. In November 2025 I changed from traditional 401k contributions to Roth 401k contributions. The first 5 contributions after switching to the Roth were missing the employer match (100% up to 4% of my pay). I was just now paid back for those missing employer matches on June 1, 2026. The missing payments totalled $323.53. How can I figure out approximately how much interest that should have accrued if my rate of return has been around 7.1%? I don't know exactly how interest on 401ks is accrued so I'm not sure how to calculate the interest that should have been accruing. The 401k calculators I've found do it based on your current age and retirement age so I can't really use them for a 7 month period

I need help finding a plastic razor that's similar to the leaf razor

I had a leaf 3 blade razor and a leaf 2 blade razor. But I'm living with someone who has a porcelain tub and they're scared I'll drop it and crack the tub. Does anyone know of something similar to a leaf razor or even a traditional safety razor that's made of plastic? I tried a disposable razor again and I just can't do it 😂

Need help with musselburgh hat

I made the musselburgh hat with malabrigo arroyo yarn. I followed the pattern based on my head measurements and unblocked gauge as recommended in the pattern. After blocking the finished project the hat was HUGE! Should I make a gauge swatch and measure the gauge after blocking? The pattern says to use a needle size recommended by your yarn and then based on the gauge you get you do a certain amount of increases. It never mentions a have after blocking but that might be necessary to get the right size

Does anyone have recipes for beans?

I just learned that brand apparently have a lot of fiber in them compared to veggies and have some protein and are gastritis friendly. Does anyone have recipes for beans that are gators friendly? Idk what type of beans I want to try or if I should use canned or the ones that come in bag. I haven't cooked much until recently so I'm still learning

Need help replacing badge reel

So the red badge reel is the one I've had for almost 2 years that I got as a new hire. The black one is off Amazon. The string on the red on Brooke. I was able to tie it to the other piece so it'll be usable for now but I need to replace it. Normally I clip it onto the belt loop of my pants. The black one's clip is too short to fully go around the pant loop and it will fall off. I have another different badge reel that also has the smaller clip with the same issues. How can I find a good badge reel with a long enough clip like the red one? I don't know what I'd even search to try and find that

What is a good stretchy bind off for the cuffs, neck and bottom edge of a baby sweater?

I'm making the 6-12 mo size of the flax sweater. It's my first sweater! I did the standard bind off for the ribbing cuffs on the arms. It isn't stretchy at all and I'm worried about how easy it will be to put on or if the bind off part may be too tight. When I looked for stretchy bind offs they seemed to flare out at that edge which also wouldn't be great. Any suggestions would be super helpful

How can I fix my hat?

So I made this hat with malabrigo rios yarn (superwash wool). When I wore it before washing it it fit great. I accidentally left it in the pocket of my work jacket and it got washed with my work clothes. Thankfully it's machine washable and it doesn't seem felted but it's pretty stretched out. I laid it flat to dry. The ribbing is looser than the top now even though it was a size smaller in needles. Can I pop it in the dryer and shrink it up some? I could also potentially undo and redo the ribbing with a smaller needle size. I did gauge swatches before making it and washed them with soak and they actually got smaller but that wouldn't account for the accidental washing machine wash 😂

I'm an EMT and I'm currently working a 1pm-2am shift. I'm moving to an 8am-9pm shift by the end of the week. Im off today until I work my last shift Thursday (1pm-2am) then have Friday and Saturday off then work Sunday thru Tuesday on the new 8am schedule. From the podcast on jet lag huberman said to phase advance your circadian rhythm (get up earlier) you need to get light in the 4 hours after your temperature minimum. The temperature minimum is 90-120 minutes before you finally get up. If I'm normally getting up around 11:30 my temp minimum is around 9:30-10 ish. So I'm wondering if I should start getting up at 10 am all week and just have a long day Thursday but start moving my wake up time earlier so I'm ready to go on Sunday. Or do I start getting up at 10 on Friday then maybe 8 Saturday and 6-730 ish Sunday. Anyone who's actually done this is love your advice. I'm also not currently driving caffeine due to gastritis but I could do one caffeinated drink Thursday if needed for my last shift. I've done the 1-2 shift the entire 2 years I've been in EMS so I've never had to shift my circadian rhythm this much before. I'm naturally a night owl so it was much easier to move to a later schedule than to move it earlier
