My boyfriend and I are currently apart, and we still have some time before we finally get to see each other. A while ago, in passing, I mentioned that I absolutely love seashells. I didn't think much of it, but he held onto that little detail.
Today, he sent me this picture.
This sweet, incredibly pure soul does not know how to swim. Yet, he marched right out into the water during high tide just to gather these for me. 😭
Looking at this picture, I can’t help but get a little emotional. We spend so much of our lives looking for things that are flawless, unbroken, and whole. But looking at these little, fragmented white shells resting in his hand, I’ve honestly never seen anything more complete.
It made me realize that love isn't about grand, polished gestures. It’s about someone bravely walking into an ocean they don't know how to swim in, just to bring you a tiny, broken piece of the world because they know it will make you smile.🧿🧿✨✨
Pata hai aaj kya hua? So, I have been wanting to get another ear piercing for the longest time, but my track record hasn't exactly been the best. For context: the last time I got my nose pierced, I was literally crying and holding the piercing vale bhaiya ka haath😭. Peak trauma for both of us, honestly.
Fast forward to today. I finally gathered the courage to go get my ear pierced again. I walked into the shop, and guess what? The exact same bhaiya recognized me almost instantly. He literally looked at me, sighed, and said, "Aap matt karao piercing" 😔. He was totally ready to refuse my business just to avoid the risk of having his hand crushed again! 😂
But I insisted that I was stronger now, and I actually went through with it. Honestly, it was just a quick pinch this time around and did not hurt nearly as much as my overthinking brain convinced me it would. I am incredibly proud to report that I kept my hands strictly to myself today. It is a little bit sore right now and tender, but totally worth it. My profile:
General category, female, non-engineering candidate
10th: 93%
12th: 94% (PCB)
Bachelor’s in Biotechnology (Hons. + Research)
Current CGPA: 8+ (hoping to graduate with 9+)
Currently, I’m:
Working in a genetics research lab
Volunteering during my college’s placement drive
Comfortable with GDs and public speaking
One thing that worries me is that I don’t have any Positions of Responsibility (PORs).
I’d really appreciate advice on the following:
How should I start preparing for CAT from scratch?
Which books/materials/coaching would you recommend?
What can I do during college to build a stronger profile for top B-schools?
How valuable are research internships, case competitions, certifications, volunteering, and extracurriculars during admissions?
How much do PORs actually matter?
If anyone with a similar (especially non-engineering) background has converted a top B-school, I’d love to hear what worked for you and what you wish you had done differently.

I made some white chocolate brown sugar cookies 🫠
The white chocolate on top caramelized slightly in the oven while the chunks inside stayed melty and gooey. They’re definitely sweeter than I intended, but I can’t stop eating them😭
She was having a rough day with cramps, so I decided to whip up some fudgy chocolate Toblerone cookies and golden butter crunch ones 🍪✨
We were walking and she suddenly stopped at a tree to grab a bunch of these flowers. We were so confused and judging her a little bit 😂. But as soon as we sat down for chai, she surprised us all by weaving them into these super cute matching bracelets. Core memory unlocked✨
We have a ritual of sending each other care packages during our periods. Friend sent this over today. Just gonna vibe and eat my way through this✨
