First time wwoofing - packing list?

Hallo!

I will be solo WWOOFing for the very first time from Sept 23 to Oct 28 this fall staying in both South Germany and central Switzerland. I am from the US and this is also my first time traveling internationally.

I am an extreme overpacker and have never been away from this long, so I really have no clue as to what are necessities and what should stay home. Obviously this differs for everyone but I would appreciate any general suggestions of what to pack based on your experiences. I will be doing classic farm work with both gardening and animal caretaking.

I am mostly curious about how much clothing yall got away with, things you are glad you brought/wish you had left, and maybe some things most people dont think of when packing.

Danke!

Sex with MtF post-op girlfriend

Hi strangers! My girlfriend and I (both 21F) have been dating for about a year now. She got bottom surgery last summer and is only now starting to regain some sensitive down there. Though we had sex every once and a while, it was slightly discouraging to not be able to make her cum due to the lack of feeling.

Recently though, we had a breakthrough and she was able to climax normally as a result of me strongly grinding against her clit. While this was a victory, it took a VERY long amount of time of two bodies awkwardly rubbing against each other for her to get there, leaving us both more tired than satisfied. I'm slightly on the asexual spectrum, and so sex already isnt super high on my radar, let alone when it takes so long and I feel like I'm not doing as good of a job as she deserves. Because of that, we have been a little less intimate recently, but I want that to change!!

That being said, has anyone or their partners had success with post-op sex when clitoral pressure is really the only thing going for them? Or any other methods? We are both very curious. Thanks!

Kru Pay/Hour

I went to Kru this morning and saw a hiring sign on the door, but there is no online applications with more details. Does anyone who currently or previously worked there know how much they pay baristas with 4+ years of experience/base pay before tips?

Thanks!

Renewing passport as trans woman

Title. My passport will be expiring in July, meaning I have to renew.... My current passport has my correct gender marker (female), and my birth certificate, ID, etc. were all updated to female after I transitioned. I've been living as a Trans woman for nearly 9 years now with these documents.

Under the current administration, will these documents allow me to retain my correct gender marker on a new passport, or will they ignore them?

I live in Vermont, so things are much more liberal in this realm, and I'm curious if the process might look different here. I just cannot believe how hard I've had to work to get where I am, and that it can be so easily stripped from me. Insight, advice, and encouragement are all extremely appreciated.

MSc Earth Science - Göttingen, Bayreuth, or Freiburg

I am a recent grad from the US looking to do my masters in earth sciences in Germany. I have narrowed down my top choices to the University of Freiburg, the University of Bayreuth, and the University of Göttingen, but am having a difficult time deciding between them.

I am very big into sustainability, snowboarding, and nature, which makes me interested in Freiburg, but also am attracted to the lower cost of living/no non-EU student tuition fees at Göttingen. I feel as though Bayreuth lies in the middle of these two. I have done extensive research into the master programs at eaxh uni and feel as though they are equal. Also, I have been working very diligently on studying German and would still have another year and a half to improve my skills.

I'd love any insight regarding these schools/cities or if anyone has experience with the MSc in earth sciences!

New apartment - need help arranging!

I just moved into a new apartment (yay!) But am having difficulty figuring out how to place my bed, dresser, desk, etc. My partner and I have connected room, and would prefer to have the door left mostly unblocked. But we have run into some problems:

  1. The right side of the room has all the outlets and therefore I would be blocking them if I put my bed there. Also, my full size mattress just barely fits in that space, so I wouldn't have any room for a nightstand

  2. The left side of the room has a heater and pipes along the wall with no outlets, causing a slight fire concern.

  3. If I place it directly in front of the window, I wouldn't be able to open it (tall headboard), plus I would get a glare on my screen anytime I doing work on my laptop in bed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Getting health insurance after review deadline

I just graduated college and will be losing my health insurance through the school. I have worked at target for the past 2 years part time during school and full time during the summer and breaks. Because of this, I averaged out under the 25 hours/week needed to qualify me for full time status this year.

I talked to the benefits hotline about how i will now be switching to full time status from now on, and would like to be reconsidered for full time benefitsm One person said it was possible, and another said it wasn't. I already talked to my HR team and they weren't sure either. Has anyone has any experience with this? I would really like to stay at Target, but cant if im not able to get insurance...

Rsenr grad honors

Getting anxious abt whether or not im going to graduate with honors as one of my classmates in Rubenstien already got an email about it but I havent received one yet. Granted, she got a 4.0 and I got a 3.82. But if honors are given out to the top 25%, I feel like an 3.82 should land me in that range right?

Anyways, has any other graduating rsenr gotten an email abt latin honors, and if so, what is your gpa?

B.S. Environmental Science Grad Cap

Graduating from the University of Vermont this weekend and wanted to honor my grandma on my cap. She always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and I know shes watching me now with so much pride in her heart!

I used hot glue to attach the moss, flowers, and letters to a piece of black glitter paper and just regular glue for the photo. I used E6000 to glue to paper to the cap, and fed the button/tassle through a hole cut in the middle of the paper! Super excited to wear it ☺️

I am currently working at the Dorset St Starbucks in Target and it is so draining with very little reward... I am moving further downtown this summer and want to work closer to home, so I was thinking one of the cafes or breakfast spots on Church Street. Any recommendations?

I'm hoping to get at least $20/hour including tips, full-time, and preferably with benefits. Also open to other food service jobs, so long as I am making bank and dont have to work night shifts!!
