Thoughts on the Makeup by Mario foundations?

The shades are great for me but i'm not sure which formula to get - natural finish or the regular surreal skin one.

I have combination skin which can be dry and flaky as I'm on tretinoin. I want a decent amount of coverage to cover redness.

Any contributions would be appreciated!

All Day Chemist help!

Ordering from ADC for the first time - there was no option to pay? And now it is saying “want to pay”.

I haven’t received an email with a link to pay so I’m not sure what to do now or whether or not to proceed.

Anyone else experienced this? What happens next? Thanks!

Is it worth microneedling at an early age?

If you are in your early-mid 20s and you have textured skin, hyperpigmentation, acne marks, etc is microneedling worth it? Or is it better to go for something different like chemical peels? I've seen very conflicting opinions on whether or not microneedling actually produces tangible results at such a young age.

Any thoughts ?

This is not true, right?

AFAIK makeup doesn’t look good when on tretinoin because your skin becomes drier and starts peeling so your makeup doesn’t sit well on your face.

I have never heard of makeup having a lot of Vit A? Surely this person is misinformed😭

Trying to choose between injectors for lip and chin filler

I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to choose between injectors to get lip filler for the first time and chin filler for the second time.

Injector 1:

  • Uses Juvederm filler (I have heard this migrates and feels hard hence I am hesitant)
  • Her results are very good - she keeps it quite conservative

Injector 2:

  • Uses restylane filler
  • Mixed results - some are conservative whilst some look overfilled.

Is Juvederm really that bad? I love the injector's results but I do not want fake-looking, migrated lips later down the line.

Juvederm vs Restylane vs Stylage filler?

I am trying to choose between practitioners for my lips and they all use different products. I like all their work but I'm wondering which product is the best between Juvederm, Restylane, and Stylage filler?

Tretinoin --> Adapalene: seems like a downgrade?

I have been using 0.025% tretinoin for 2 years and it has gotten rid of my acne! I still have some texture and bad sebaceous filaments so I was thinking about moving up. However, I was unable to obtain tretinoin because I don't know anyone going to a country where it can be purchased so I decided to try Dermatica as it seems really popular and they do prescribe tretinoin (albeit compounded with something else).

In the consultation, I was very detailed and described how I have been on tretinoin for 2 years, it has had good results for me but I am reaching a plateau. I also specified that I have been on azelaic acid for the past year or so too.

Regardless, they prescribed me 0.1% adapalene with 4% niacinamide. I am experiencing a plateau on 0.025% tretinoin so it just feels like a downgrade to me?

Do I switch to adapalene, or should I just ignore the prescription and abandon it entirely? So lost as to what to do.

My current routine:

Morning:

  • Cleanse with water
  • TO Hyaluronic acid
  • Azelaic acid 3-4x a week
  • Illiyoon ceramide moisturiser
  • Eucerin sunscreen

Evening:

  • Cleanse with Youth to the People Superfood cleanser
  • Apply tretinoin to dry skin (4-6x a week depending on how my skin is feeling)
  • Thin layer of illiyoon moisturiser

Huda Beauty vs One Size powders

I'm looking to get a pink powder for my under eyes

I'm currently using Huda but my undereyes still crease 😞

Which powder is better for blurring undereyes and does not crease? I have fine lines under my eyes

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen

I’ve been using the BoJ sunscreen for some time now (started in autumn) and I love the formula it’s amazing for my dry tret skin

However, it’s finally hot and the UV is high in the UK and I have BURNT on this sunscreen 😭 I reapply often too…

I’ve confirmed that this sunscreen is not great for high UV especially when staying in the sun for more than half an hour - just a PSA!

Defo gonna switch back to LRP in the summer months, even though it’s more expensive 😫

Best degree to do if I want to go down the conversion route?

I am considering between:

  • French and English BA
  • Social sciences BSc (this is a mix between sociology, anthropology, psychology, economics, etc)
  • Politics and IR

I do not know which one would give me the best possible chances to go down the legal route, any advice?

Piercing has rotated?

My helix piercing is in the completely wrong position even 2 years after getting it. The gemstone is not visible at all. Sometimes it gets irritated, red and painful. Not to a significant extent but still annoying nonetheless

Do I take it out, let it heal then repierce it?

Information about my piercing:
- 2 years old
- Screw flat back piercing
- Unsure about the material but it’s from the piercing shop, I believe it may be titanium
- I cleaned it with saline for months after and I still occasionally clean it to this day given that it still sometimes gets irritated
