God I LOVE legacy right now
When car was hyper dominant for like a few weeks it was miserable, but now I'm super enjoying it.
Yeah you get car'd but this is legacy combo exists, it's better then Oops. I'm loving Doomsday, tempo is the top deck.
We have 3 entirely playable tempo decks.
We have 4.5 combo decks. Of which most are completely different then each other.
We even have a playable aggro deck?
When the top 10 is
30% tempo
40% combo
10% aggro
10% whatever you call lands
10% hybrid combo (Dimir car)
And just outside of top ten we have a viable true control deck????
The difference between #1 (Dimir tempo) and #2 (doomsday) is only 4% and the difference between 2/3 is like 3%.
I haven't had this much fun in legacy before. I love this meta so much.
For the first time since... ever? (at least as long as I've been playing ).
I'm praying for no changes to legacy.

reddit.comIf I explain I'm O-, will they let me join a full drive?
I'm type O-, but haven't successfully given blood yet, I tried in the past and something went wrong with the needle insertion and they said to try again another time.
Kinda forgot about it at all until I saw there was a blood shortage, and specifically one of type O blood.
Well I'm a universal donor so I was thinking they might make an exception and let me join a full drive, because the closest one is well over a month out that isn't full.
I want the economy to fucking implode.
Random wars, huge weath transfers, a whole generation are being fucked by student loans with such insanely overinflated values it should be considered criminal fraud.
But the middle-upper class just don't care, they don't care this is entirely unsustainable.
They keep electing retards like Trump who promise easy cheap solutions hand picked by the billionaires to do nothing.
If the economy won't work for us, and people don't have enough common sense to think "well fuck, I wonder if taking billions out of the economy for nothing is bad for it".
Just let it all crash, apparently personal pain is the only thing that will get these idiots to look around.
I genuinely don't think the format needs anything banned.
We just had yet another series of bans. We've just had the last ones.
Nothing is showing problematic win rates yet, maybe something gets solved and that changes but really the format seems pretty good rn.
We have a healthy mix of blue decks like Goryos, combo like Neoform and Titan, big mana in E-Tron and Trudge, and aggro with energy.
I really don't see any reason to ban anything at all right now.
How good us Wheel of Time
Recently picked back up reading after 10 years (God audiobooks are a life saver), and I've run out of books on my to read list.
I am a huge LOTR movies fan so I ripped through LOTR/Hobbit immediately. Currently working on the Silmarillion.
I've heard people talk about the series quite highly.
Is it good? Is there a specific audiobook version that's better, etc.
Why aren't Bee hives (specifically the whole hive not the individual) alive.
I think this thought is best represented as an argument.
Now please don't misunderstand me, I don't think that I "broke new ground". I want to know why this isn't true, because I think someone smarter than me has probably thought of this before.
Eusocial insect colonies are alive. Not the individual workers, but the hive as a whole is a single entity.
I'm using the definition of Alive from Wikipedia, which feels reasonably default to not be something specifically chosen.
I'm using the Western Honey Bee as my generic Eusocial insect. Idk if that's ideal but it's the one I'm thinking of.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western\_honey\_bee
Wiki lists 7 traits that define alive.
Homeostasis, Organization, Metabolism, Growth, Adaptation, Response to Stimuli, Reproduction.
1: Homeostasis. Hives maintain homeostasis. They will regulate their temperature significantly compared to the outside environment. They remove toxins from their hive.
2: Organization, to be made up of cells. The individual bees are cells. Like you are alive, but you are made up of alive things (cells) who contain as organs alive things (mitochondria). So I think going one level higher isn't unreasonable. Bees are cells, Bees have cells. Cells are cells, Cells have Cells (mitochondria).
3: Metabolism. Hives use their cells (bees) to collect food (nectar) which they then store as fat (honey) in a specific organ (honey cells). They consume this food and exhale carbon dioxide, and produce waste which they then remove from their body.
4: Growth. Bee hives grow, so do tons of things like crystals, this doesn't mean much.
5: Adaptation: Bees build different hives. They are differently shaped to fit their environment. Very closely related bees, will build different hives based on where they are from. Different species of hives are adapted to their environment.
6: Response to Stimuli: This one is obvious. Go outside. Punch a bee hive. Report back if the hive attacked you.
7: Reproduction: When a Hive swarms, it effectively completes mitosis. It takes the parts it needs to survive and then reproduces everything else in a second location. They even reproduce via sperm (Drones) fertilizing the hives gonads (Queen).
Like ok, I understand that I probably am using a slightly generic definition. I feel like there's a really strong case to be made that hives are organisms, and bees are cells within that organism.
Individual bees when removed from a hive will die. They don't rejoin a different hive because they'll be rejected.
Yes they can leave the body. But organ transplants? So can human cells, we've just evolved to not.
If you take your white blood cells and put them into someone else, it works. (assuming no immune response, but gives can also reject organs (new bees)).
Just barely survived this at work, still shaking.
I cannot believe I survived this EF6 gigaslabber.
Dimir Doomsday Primer
I've been pretty much doing nothing else in magic except for playing Doomsday every night since it was released.
Here is my primer for people who want to try the deck, we don't have a sideboarding section yet cause we don't know if Doomsday will see enough play for an slot.
Have fun y'all!

What is this?
My local ethnic Mexican food place has this pickled onion dish in its salsa section, and it's fucking fantastic.
But I'm white as fuck and I have no clue where to start trying to find a recipe.
Please help.
Racing the Leyline of Resonance deck and winning. Turn 3 Scapeshift combo kill.
So Doomsday
What are our stock piles now that we have yet another extremely strong combo deck entering the format.

No LED makes things harder.
I genuinely think Scapeshift is the strongest deck in the format.
Between it's ability to goldfish you as early as turn 3; a turn faster then even an extremely good hidden strings draw.
It's resilience to hate packing up to 4 Boseijus, and with the ability to play extremely strong SB cards like Soul Partition and Void Rend.
Along with it's inevitability, the deck can and does regularly win with 0 spells resolving.
I genuinely think if more people played pioneer this would be a t1 deck if not the best thing in the format.
