This is my first time growing an Amorphophallus, so I'd really appreciate any advice. hehe

The last photo shows the corm placed inside the pot for scale. Do you think the pot size is appropriate, or should I go larger or smaller?

I'd also love any tips on soil mix, planting depth, watering, light requirements, and dormancy care. I know many Amorphophallus species are prone to rot if overwatered, so I want to start off on the right foot.

I saw this fern while walking on a trail here in the Philippines.

My S. erecta shriveled up, and the caudex feels soft-firm (not mushy). There are no black parts, no foul smell, and no roots. Any advice on how to save my plant?

A stray cat tried to eat my Amorphophallus saurus, and now it looks like this. Is it still salvageable?

I’ve read that plants from the Amorphophallus genus are toxic to cats, so I’m also a bit concerned about the cat.
