Can I make a game for 2 players and then have 3+ join?

My kid wants to play with a few friends, she's been doing ok with me but I'm pretty sure they're going to struggle a little without an adult directly helping. I was hoping I could set it up as a 2 player game despite there being 3 players, thus making some puzzles a little easier and requiring less cooperation. Is this possible?

If you didn't watch Justin play Big Walk, check it out

It was really a perfect playthrough. Nobody had prior knowledge of the game, everybody knew everybody else, it was a big group of funny people with varying game/puzzle abilities. Justin was hungry and tired and therefore not the best at solving stuff but he's such a doll it didn't matter. He was great at following orders which is something you really need in an 'escape room' type setting.

There were some amazing clippable moments, and they played through the entire game in one session which is great. Apollo and Ricky and a bunch of the goo crew guys were there.

It felt like watching a bunch of lads at summer camp. But by the end they were men.

Which hole did Odysseus shoot an arrow through?

I always pictured him shooting through the hole at the top of an axe's handle (haft?), as pictured in the 4th image of a primitive axe. Or maybe it's the hole in an axe head like in the third image.

But I have recently seen a few depictions of the trial where the axes have these holes in the blade. Not sure what happens in the Nolan film.

Is there a consensus or is it really up to interpretation? Did Greek axes have holes in the blades? Did they have holes in the handles? 🤔

Gen 2 charging cable broke- is it really just bricked??

How is it possible you can't buy replacement cables for this thing? I don't hate the idea of upgrading to a gen 3 except now I'm kind of pissed and it's so wasteful to throw out a perfectly functional device that's used daily. Does anyone know of a third party way of getting a cable?

No Case Should Remain Unsolved

Just played through No Case Should Remain Unsolved and thought it was very good.

You play as a detective trying to solve a cold case from your past. There's a cool framing device and the map of interviews is really well done.

The 'figuring it out' stuff reminded me of Roottrees somewhat, making connections and paying attention to little things.

It was pretty short, less than 2 hours I think.

Homicipher is an underrated gem

I've been playing a language deciphering game called Homicipher.

It's a point and click horror game. You are trapped in a strange place and have to decipher the language of the creatures you encounter in order to survive.

There are a lot of endings, choices, and characters. The language deciphering is fun and challenging.

I haven't heard the game discussed here really so I wanted to recommend it. It's not too scary if you're worried about that.

Road to Empress II content warning

I've been playing through the Li Zhi path and wanted to warn people who might watch NL play it.

There are a few scenes of childbirth that are bloody, distressing, and sometimes end in death of the child and/or the mother.

Also, a baby dies. This always happens and is obviously pretty sad. Just a heads up for any new parents out there who might not want to watch that kind of story.
