Been seeing these pop up on ebay a lot this year, some of them sell for an obscene amount of money and are on very rare cards. Some just redraw official art 1 to 1 on energy cards, like the Felt Hat Pikachu.

It's cool to see a shift more towards the art again, some of them look really cool. Interesting choice to draw on $20k+ cards lol, and a bit questionable that they are redrawing actual card arts which are being graded.

I always found it interesting how the texture pattern on Eng cards completely change the intent of the art.

Especially on this card, the texture lines on the Eng card are so thick that they cannot properly recreate the circle patterns in the background.

Bought this slab from an eBay seller named GECA. I got it to crack open and had zero expectation that it would be Gem Mint, I would have been happy with LP.

But this thing is covered in scratches and has multiple dents on it. Pretty sure it’s just a scam way to over inflate the value of damaged cards.

Should i swap these out for a PSA 5 Gold Star Rayquaza with a friend, or hold what I have?

I bought two pretty big grail cards last month on eBay. They were both in really good condition, especially the Gengar, seller provided additional pics and it didn't have any scratches or whitening, was super excited to get it.

The Gengar sat at authentication as delivered for over a week, then they refunded me out the blue with an email saying it was damaged or missing after delivery. When i reached out to eBay support to see which of the two it was, they said it was damaged and that authentication declined to provide pictures with the damaged on the card.

The Blastoise has been at authentication going on 3 weeks now and the delivery date keeps extending.

Definitely looks better than PSA

Though I would post before trying to sell some of this stuff.

Like a lot of people I dug up my childhood collection back in 2016 when pokemon GO came out and decided to start collecting again with my son. Had a rough budget of $1-2k per year. I focused on getting more vintage cards to add to what I already had and my wife and I bought him modern stuff, ETB’s, UPC’s, etc.

Fast forward 10 years and we have a really awesome collection, he has another half dozen binders full, it’s crazy looking back what prices were for some of this stuff.

He is about to graduate high school and with the state of the hobby and the cost of everything right now, we’re thinking to sell most of it. He and his friends are embarrassed to try to go wait in line, apparently is a running joke in high school, my wife is afraid to wait in lines as well and I have no motivation to keep doing it on my own.

We’re debating who put together the better collection, I’m leaning toward the modern one, the illusion cards look really nice.

Curious if this would pass for a 10. PSA or CGC pristine
