This one has been a long time coming for NAM. REX is our 1967 Marshall JMP-100 Super Bass and it is the amp that ended my personal Marshall journey — and now it is finally here in NAM A2 for the first time, as a full DI set.
Why this amp? It is an early JMP that still has almost everything that made the late JTM-100 Black Flags special — dual rectifier, low filtering, and the same Drake transformers the last Black Flags had (1202-132 OT). So spec-wise it sits right between the earlier EL34 100W designs and the later standard JMP-100s. That in-between spot is, i think, exactly why it does so much: AC/DC, Cream, Free, Hendrix, Zeppelin territory all come easy on this thing. Hard to prove who played this exact model, but you hear its DNA all over those records. Quite a few Marshall guys who have tried them all call this Black Flag type spec their favourite — Thomas Blug among them.
The Drake OT is the real story. Compared to the later Dagnall equipped amps it is more harmonically rich and more open, even though it is a mid focussed amp. Visceral low mids, tons of punch, and a round musical mid character that somehow never masks the detail.
But the thing i keep coming back to is the attack. Picture the onset of the note on a time axis — this amp compresses the very front of it, so you perceive a softness, a roundness, and then the full force lands a moment later. Even at solid crunch levels you keep string separation and clarity. It gives the whole thing a 3d quality i have honestly not heard anywhere else in a Marshall style amp. Love it!
Cleans, edge of breakup, light and medium crunch — that is where it lives. And as a pedal platform it is right up there with a Hiwatt Custom 100 and a Fender Twin Reverb.
Cab is our 1968 Marshall 1982B straight 4x12 with all original G12H30 55Hz speakers (T1281) and Pulsonic cones. The cab Hendrix and Page ran, because it handled the power.

Been wanting to make this happen since a long time. I ran my 1966 Script Logo JTM45 through a RI Bluesbreaker Combo cab that i loaded with vintage Celestion G12 Alnico speakers with original Pulsonic cones.
The result? Authentic Beano tones at your fingertips!
This setup results in an identical spec to a real vintage 1966 Marshall model 1962 sans the tremolo and it instantly delivers these old school punchy, honky Clapton tones as heard on John Mayall Bluesbreakers with Eric clapton.
It is the quintessential old school raunchy Marshall tone unlike the later stuff than most of us are way familiar with. It is a leaner, honkier tone, but extremely alive, 3d and punchy - love it!

Really stoked to share this one with you guys.
I am very pleased to finally release our capture set of a 1964 Marshall JTM-45 Maroon Block Logo amp with the legendary Radiospars OT. This makes it equivalent to the earlier transition models of the JTM-45, including offset and split front amps.
It is probably the single most iconic and collectable Marshall in our collection. Probably not more than a dozen Maroon Block logo amps were ever made and this is one of about 10 or so of the very first gold plexi panel amplifiers ever built.
Pete Townshend is among the most notable early adopters of this spec and most notably Eric Clapton used one of the early Block Logo heads with the Yardbirds and live with John Mayall and Bluesbreakers (in Studio the 2X12 Bluesbreaker combo was used, while live it usually was this older head).
This particular unit is literally a few numbers away from Clapton's serial which was 1028.
We paired it with a 1966 Pinstripe 4X12 cab set up with a quad of vintage G12 Alnico speakers and the same cab set up with vintage G12M 20W speakers, which both lend a lot of old school vintage character to the tone.

The holy grail for Page fans right here. Sundragon SUper Dragon is a 1:1 replica of Jimmy Page's mythical Marshall SUper Bass from 1968, which was modded by Tony Frank in the 70's.
This amp will easily deliver Led Zep inspired tones as well as rival any vintage Marshall at any price range. Give it a spin ;)

I captured the Sundragon Coronado amp, which is a collab between Jimmy Page and Mitch Colby - the actual amp that Jimmy used was replicated by Sundragon 1:1 down to the tinest details. Even the output transformer is wound by the same company that originally supplied Valco (and iis unfortunately out of business today).
Gets thjose early Led Zep tones with ease.

Going for some Brown Sound inspired stuff here with -60V on the variac, Echoplex EP3 preamp, etc. Got pretty close when going with 2X SM57's instead of my usual R121 and M160 mics. Obviously the wrong guitar, but it just looked good :D
Just did a capture pack of this absolute MONSTER - a 1968 Marshall Super Lead JMP-100. It is a 12'000 series amp that is 30 units away from the unit that Van Halen made legendary. It is an amp meant for the Swedish market and that's where i picked it up. I dubbed it "Ragnar" - the king of vikings ;)

Just launched 2 of the most requested and heavily anticipated amp captures from the Bogner Ecstasy 101B Pandora and Bogner Uberschall Ultra MKII.
The packs are huge - Uberschall 49 captures, Ecstasy 56. All are native A2 captures.
Either need no introduction - the Ecstasy line put Bogner on the map and is a long running classic, while the Uberschall Ultra MKII has quickly become the favorite of many high gain fans. And it is easy to see why - it is extremely tight, can sound massive, has endless amount of gain on tap and it does not sound hissy or grainy as many amps tend to become with lots of gain. One of my personal favorites for high gain for sure.

I am looking into the Gretsch G6122II - the one with open F holes, no zero fret, no leather pad on the back, no dampeners. It is kind of like the Country Classic, but with the same scale as the white falcon without the bells and whistles that i am not into and has kind of every other Gretsc happointment that i find iconic.
Is it a good pick?
