See https://www.reddit.com/r/thexx/s/PrO3gMI8OF since I can’t add a pic to my original post. Yes, I maybe taking this personally 😂 the only thing I hate more than being accused of being a shill is shitty Reddit sleuthing.
Swapping stock back in for dealer service. Yes I am an idiot. Car had been off for about an hour. Is this a major screwup, and if so what should I watch out for? Also managed to drop the lower ECU holder bolt lol.
I go to San Francisco for music all the time, and am frequently in the Tenderloin, which probably competes with the Mission for worst drug problem in the city. More than once I’ve walked by someone getting revived on the sidewalk. So I probably should have started carrying one of these a long time ago.
Such a fun set, my #1 from the fest.
Not my best clip from the fest but one of my favorites. Such an amazing performance, psyched to be seeing them again at OSL in Aug.
Just got back from being blown away by them at Kilby Block Party, their set was so dreamy and memorable. Really impressed with the quality, super heavyweight t-shirt and printing.
Probably my best video from KBP. Catharina must have been freezing.
For me: Wombo, NewDad, Dry Cleaning, Beach Bunny!!!, Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Turnstile, Cardinals, The Kilans, Feeble Little Horse, Automatic, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Jane Remover, Between Friends, Briston Maroney, The Last Dinner Party, Lucy Dacus, The xx, This Is Lorelei, Smerz, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Grandaddy, Hayley Williams, Lorde. When I actually add them up it’s a surprise since I average like 100 shows a year. Definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.
One of the most unique bands I’ve ever seen, can’t really think of anyone else that sounds like them. Really good imo.
The Kilans, Automatic, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Briston Maroney, The Last Dinner Party, The xx of course. Was surprised how much I enjoyed Between Friends, their music isn’t really my thing but the performance was really good. Her costume tho 👀😂
For me it was Beach Bunny. I had them on my schedule but really didn’t know much about them. Damn were they good! Great songwriting and playing and a super fun vibe. I’m a new fan.
It’s really starting to hit me how deep this lineup is. I like to learn at least a couple of each artist’s songs so I’m not the only one who’s not singing along since that’s such a big part of shows these days, but man! Thankfully I know and have even recently seen a few of them (Magdalena Bay, The Last Dinner Party, Snail Mail, The xx, Die Spitz, Gelli Haha), but I don’t really know some of the bigger names like Lorde, Turnstile, Modest Mouse, Hayley Williams, Blood Orange… I did finally have a few hours this weekend to go thru YouTube and get my schedule mostly lined out, and I have listened thru the official playlist a few times. So excited!
I’ve had nugs for a while but always seemed to get distracted by something other than the Dead (‘97 White Stripes!!). The last couple weeks I’ve really dug in on the app and have been blown away, especially by ‘80s shows, the era when I saw the most shows but always looked down on for some reason. Currently streaming Barton Hall 5-16-81, great Shakedown and a wild Spanish Jam.
Maybe more of a general nugs question rather than specific to play dead, but why are some shows listed twice? Thinking specifically about the Europe ‘72 shows, but there are a bunch of others. I can’t see anything in the app that explains why/if they’re different.
And if so, how? I start streaming the band as soon as the presale date is announced and play them around the clock for days, yet have never gotten a code (and I do have Spotify notifications turned on).
I’ve used the Franklin Plaza garage a few times but have read the security there is pretty ineffective, wondering if there’s a better option.
