Is this sound normal? Model shp78dm5n

I don't know if this is normal or not. Makes like a water slap/swishing sound inside with a slight squeak. Comes and goes. Wash setting Auto, sanitize, crystaldry.

The first time I used it, it was dead silent. Now it makes a knocking like noise. Is this normal?

Bosch shp78dm5n not drying with crystal dry

I did my first wash normal, sanitize, crystal dry and at the end 80 percent was still wet. I used the jet dry detergent tab that came with it but I forgot to add rinse aid. Doing a round now with rinse aid. Hopefully the no rinse aid was the issue.

Over the last 30 days the bedroom 59% and the family room 53%.

What is up with companies trying to sell you conditioners and water filtration?

The other day I had a plumbing company come out and they gave me a quote for a softener so they said. Today another company came by and I told them I wanted a softener to help reduce or eliminate scaling and we want the silky shower feeling. He's like a filtration system does that, not a softener. Fast foward the first company wanted to sell me a halo 5 which is a filtration system and the halo 9 a conditioner company two. I found out the first company it was a filtration system after I told they guy today that company was going to do a halo 5. Anyhow I am glad I cleared this up because it makes no sense to tell two companies that all I want is a softener. One assumed or lied saying halo 5 is a softener and the other was honest but pushed the halo 9 conditioner.

Today's company quoted me $7800 installing whatever softener I provide, tear concrete and redo in order to run the water to the house to the garage with a trench and to bring the drain feom the garage to the sewer pipe in front of the house with a t-trap and air gap. I think that's high.

Does this salt free work?

Per Amazon customers say the water fells soft but not slippery like the salt ones that removes minerals, you use less soap, no draining not electricity needed. This may be what I need based on the drain challenge I have.

Flow Tech or Water Softener?

A plumber came by today and mentioned flow tech as an option vs a whole house softener. He said it does not remove hard water and you won't get the silky skin feel when you shower but helps to avoid faucet scale etc.

Is the flow tech a good option?

Do all plumbers know how to install whole house water softeners?

My home does not have the pre installed lines nor drain to add a water softener so the plumber would have to utilize the water heater lines and also add a drain exit way because in the garage I have slab with no floor drain, no sink, no washing machine to drain to.

Whole House Water Softener

I do not see the main incoming water line going into the house. All I see is the water heater.

Is there a line that I need to look for near the heater or that is already connected to the heater?

Bosh 500 series or 800

I ordered the 500 series and it arrives on Friday but I've been looking at the 800 now and I am not sure if I should cancel and order an 800.

It is around $100 to $150 more, so not much of a difference.

Bosh Dishwasher with AutoAir

My counter is formica with the particle engineered wood at the bottom that can swell and come apart. I am concerned with the Bosh AutoAir when the door opens and lets steam out.

Does the barrier that Bosh supply help or what can I do to protect the counter bottom right above the dishwasher door?
