this miiight not belong here, but vent:

everyone thought i was being weird bc i hugged a guy, but it was cuz i, a crutch user, a disabled person, stepped wayyyy off balance and had to correct myself, so i started laughing it off (my coping mechanism) thats why i was weird!!!!! then my dad said something i did not hear (also hard of hearing) and i assumed he asked if i was okay bc that’s what he does, so i said “i’m fine hahaha im okay” and EVERYONE thought i was supposedly not okay from hugging my STEP BROTHER that THEY THOUGHT I LIKED! get that heteronormative BS OUTTA YOUR HEADS!!!!!

i’ve searched this subreddit for the above question, and the answers are Otter.ai, Ava, and the built-in Samsung Live Caption. I’m currently on an iPhone, trying otter.ai free version but it doesn’t seem very real-time. the captions have a lag between when they are said vs. transcripted. i am comparing to Live Transcript on iOS. i went here from Ava bc i’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with Ava.

i’m moving to the Galaxy zflip 8 when it comes out and i was wondering a few things:

1. what is your favorable live caption app? can you tell me why you like it?

2. what is your experience with Samsung’s built-in captions?

3. does anyone else have a zflip in this community?

this is my probably 4th or 5th rewatch of the show and Glenn giving Cheyenne paid suspension and the walkout still make me teary. I cannot cry bc hashtag antidepressants but i have the feeling of it. rewatches of this show is always like the first watch for me. the only thing i miss is seeing Jonah’s cringiness for the first time lmao

i have a wheelchair, a beautiful little Tilite TR with custom seperated footrests. i got it on craigslist for a good price, it fits me, well, i mean, it’s my size. Ish. i looked up the serial number, and it’s 23 years old! Anyway, i am really grateful for her (my chair), and i love her, but she was always going to be my “for now until i qualify for insurance-paid or save up for something customized to me.”

it is wonderful, but she is a tad too small for me, has no dump, which now that i’ve experienced through her, is a requirement for me to have some. the footrest angle is also too outward, and since its small for me, my feet are unable to sit comfortably on the footrests. without her, i would not know any of this, so learning it has been wonderful so i know what i need for the next one.

Anyway, how family factors in, in my passing time, i’ll be doing chair research, and my sister will come into my room and ill switch tabs quickly. or, i was telling my aunt what i was up to, researching chairs, and she said, “you’re going to get another wheelchair?” that response is why i switch tabs upon observation. cuz it’s something that i guess only makes sense to me, and to you all, too, probably. it’s not just because im greedy and want a new wheelchair, fam, it’s because this is just the next step. the craigslist chair is just part of a bigger plan. anyway, im just venting my frustrations. thanks for reading!
