What’s your favorite Pokemon card and why?

This is mine because I love blastoise and nothing beats the original base set starters. To me when I think of Pokemon I think of this card

Returning to the service after 4 years

I worked full time FF EMT for almost 2 years which I was given a better opportunity so I left for 4 years. I’m seeking to return because I’m now in a better position as well as pay has tremendously increased near me. I have interview soon with a local county. I have to take a written which I’ve been studying for but I’m afraid if I get hired I will lack in the hands on psychical skills. I’m sure I can get all these skills back relatively quickly with some refreshing and hand on training but I’m afraid I might look like I don’t deserve a job. Any advice or anything to calm my mind?

Anyone have this? Really considering it for my first pc. I know the ram is an issue but you can always buy another stick in the future with no other modifications right?

Anyone a EMT for AMR or GMR ?

I was a Firefighter/EMT for a year and half. As of recently I’ve been thinking of going back in that path. Butttt I left because I disliked the Fire side of it, hated training, etc it never interested me but the EMS I always liked so going back and doing something I already know I dislike does not seem like a good idea.

How’s working for these company’s? Whats the day to day job like? Is it super stressful? Whats the schedule like?

I’m doing this mostly as a side job and I assume this is a 12 HR shift job. My current job is completely open as for availability (family business) so I will easily work around this job schedule if I do it. I don’t plan on this forever but maybe a couple years while I’m young to get some extra money.

They are starting at $21 a hour in my area.

Reason why quit 5 years ago and wanting to return.

I got started fresh out of fire school at 19 years old. About a year and eight months into the job I quit. At that time, I absolutely hated the job, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized maybe it wasn’t the job I hated but the leadership.

The reason I left the fire service is because I had a deep resentment towards the job, but looking back now I don’t think it was the job as much as it was my captain. He wasn’t a bad guy in an evil sense, he just was not personable and was just very fraud like around certain people but most importantly he was not a leader. During my probationary year, I was primarily at that station with the exception of floating out a few times. During that year or should I say the span of when I was working (1 year 8 months) my captain did not invest into me. I understand that it is my job and part of it is my responsibility to learn, but how am I supposed to learn when the person who I’m supposed to work under is not willing to train me properly behind what I’m taught in fire academy. That led to me going to other stations when I was floating and being expected to know and perform things that I was not confident in because at my home station, I was never shown or taught which intern led to me being looked at as a problem when I would float to different stations. I think the combination of that and deeply dreading going to work and most importantly, even being at the station with my captain led me early depart from the career. I did attempt to move stations, but at the time the department was much smaller than it is now, so that option was very rare, and when it was available, it usually went to the most senior on the list.

Just to clarify, Im not a complete moron the things I was shown I was proficient at, but the real problem was things I did not have much experience with. I mean, who wants to go into a fire with a guy who’s not 100% confident in his skills because I would not. I would ask my captain about certain things, but we would always get a half ass explanation and not even a training.

I think this experience so soon into my job led me to have so much anxiety going to work and kind of created a false image of what my entire rest of life is gonna be.

Beginner YouTube videos for fire fighting

Does anyone have any recommendations for YouTube videos. I’m 3 years out the service but looking to return and could use some informational videos just to go over the basic stuff before I get hands training again.

FLORIDA FIREFIGHTERS has anyone taken the 40 hour refresher course at the Florida state fire college

How is the course broken down? Do they do repetitions of the final assessment prior to your final test?

I had to leave the service for about 3 years after working for 2 due to family reasons and I’m planning on returning. I have to take the refresher course so my cert doesn’t expire before I can renew my medic cert.

Just wondering what the class entails and how helpful it is for someone who’s been out. I passed everything first try at Florida state fire college when I attended schooling.

Has anyone taken the NCCP for recertification? I’ve been out of EMS for almost 4 years and contemplating getting back into it on the side

How long did it take you to get to 40 credits? Is it difficult?

I passed my NREMT and the physical exam first try but it’s been a while and I really don’t remember much. I’m afraid I would have to take the whole course over again to fully understand it all again

Does anyone have any experience with this have any advice?

Tell me why you like your Tesla model Y as I’m in between a Toyota Highlander (hybrid maybe) and a model

Tell me why you like your Tesla model Y as I’m in between a Toyota Highlander (hybrid maybe) and a model Y

My main concern is space and gas cost of a vehicle/Electric charge, I don’t necessarily need the full three rows of the Highlander right now it but would be nice to have.

What’s the average life expectancy of a model Y?

Have you had any major problems?

If anyone here has switched over from something similar, what are some pros and cons?

How much money have you actually saved from switching over to an electric car?

My only concern of the Tesla is valued depreciation and any maintenance problems that might occur if any.

Sorry if I’m asking a lot. I just want real people’s opinions. Thank you.
