neurodivergent/depressed people - help me out with a good psychiatrist recommendation?

I am looking for a psychiatrist that listens and will work together with you. I have ADHD, autism, OCD, and treatment-resistant depression. For ADHD, I need to adjust/trial new meds. For the rest, I have done Genesight genetic testing and do not fit well with SSRI/SNRIs (also done trials before), so I prefer more alternative methods of medications/treatment (memantine, buspar, auvelity, spravato, TMS).

Does anyone have a good psychiatrist they would recommend? Any details with your experience and why you like them would be really helpful! I have BCBSIL PPO and prefer telehealth (in-person is ok).

Has anyone done longer term treatment with microdose or low-dose accutane (like maybe 10mg)? If so, did you see success in healing your acne. And are dermatologists willing to prescribe this kind of treatment?

I worry about side effects and would prefer to do microdose or low-dose even if it would take longer. I (25F) have had acne for over a decade and have tried almost everything. I want to get rid of especially my painful itchy jawline/neck acne.

I (25F) have been struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, brain fog, low energy, hormonal acne, and painful periods.

I took birth control once when I was a teenager and it cleared my acne, but then my mom made me get off due to it possibly causing cancer or long term negative harm. Once I got off, my acne came back. I then later eventually tried birth control again and my acne didn't go away and it made me nauseous, so I stopped. That was all between ages 13-16.

I started getting acne on my jawline/neck last year and it's quite painful and itchy. I suspect there is something going on with my hormones - some kind of hormone imbalance. Is there a way to get a full hormone panel or figure out what is causing the issue? What kind of doctor should I see and what kind of tests should I ask for?

I (25F) have had TMJ since my teenage years and it flairs up when I am stressed. Currently, it's gotten a lot worse and I want to seek treatment for it. It's only on one side of my jaw - I think my jaw is a bit imbalanced. One side opens wider and clicks. It gives me such bad headaches.

Has anyone had any success with healing their TMJ in Chicago? Open to any kind of recommendations: treatments whether from TMJ specialists, dentists, myofascial massage, etc.

I live in an apartment and want to start growing. What's the potential risk/damage to your lungs? How likely are spores to drop? Is there a way to basically guarantee that you won't damage your lungs when you grow?

I have asthma, so quite worried about this aspect. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I am not even sure what makes spores bad for your lungs, but my lungs are bad so I need to be careful.

  • How well do spores spread? Are they airborne? Even if I harvest outdoors, could they escape enclosed environment when cultivating/growing? Could the spores spread throughout my apartment and contaminate things?
  • Will an air filter help? Will spores cause mold? What makes them harmful to your health?
  • What's the best procedure/protocol to ensure safety from harm?

The only psychedelics I have experience with is shrooms and that is more self-explanatory and trustworthy since it's pretty easy to grow and it's hard to lace a literal dried whole mushroom.

However, psychedelics like LSD and DMT are synthetic - they can be laced with other shit and filler. Whether it's fentanyl or filled with something bad for you, I would like to avoid that. Is there a way to get actual pure LSD/DMT? I want to try it, but only if it's safe. Where does it usually come from supply chain wise if I get it from a dealer?

I have had a really small bladder all my life and have had a few UTIs - so I know the pain of needing to constantly pee and bladder pain. I am not sure if there is anything wrong with my bladder or urinary tract and if there's a way to check. I do have vaginismus and will be starting pelvic floor therapy.

I am considering starting Ketamine or Spravato for my treatment resistant depression. Has anyone gotten damage to their bladder after doing Ketamine/Spravato or noticed any negative side effects? Or does anyone know the clinical studies or literature around ketamine bladder? Is it only for extreme ketamine abuse or does any amount of ketamine (including esketamine) cause bladder damage?

I am 25F - diagnosed with ADHD at 16, diagnosed with OCD recently, and have suspected that I am autistic for almost a decade. I am very high-masking and currently in burnout, so I am finally looking for to get answers (confirmation/validation) through neuropsychological testing. A lot of the places I have looked don't do adult autism assessment.

Does anyone have recommendations for neuropsychological testing places/providers that have experience with very high-masking AuDHD women? Also, planning on taking the MCAT and medical school - so would need to get the right accommodations. Thanks!

I am looking for a medical doctor (either PCP or specialist) in Chicago who believes/works in functional medicine or looks holistically at your situation. Does anyone have positive experiences with such doctors and can give recommendations? (also is this usually covered by insurance? BCBSIL PPO)

I have depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, brain fog, low energy, and hormonal acne - I believe I have some kind of hormonal imbalance. Hoping to do some blood tests and see if I need certain supplements and also see if my hormones are weird.

I am taking time off and need to do intense therapeutic work to work through trauma. I see a few different therapists but only 1 hr a week. Can I see multiple therapists a week? Can I see different providers in a day? Is there a maximum to the length of a session or is there a maximum to the number of sessions a week?

I don't understand how it works with insurance. I am in an IOP as well and don't find groups that helpful. I find the individual therapy useful, but too short and I would like to do more.

Don't really understand the billing/insurance aspect. If a client wants to be seen multiple times a week and/or have 2-3 hr sessions, is that allowed? Is there a limit to the number of sessions a week, the length of a session, or if a client sees other therapist on the same day? The client wants more intensive therapy, but doesn't find groups in IOP helpful to work through trauma.

Has anyone had success with TMS/Spravato? Looking for recommendations, even better if it's FMRI-guided TMS. I am autistic+adhd with depression, anxiety, OCD.

I'm looking to get into a clinical trial for psychedelics like LSD/DMT. In addition to the treatment, curious about and hoping to get FMRI/EEG out of it.

I am autistic+adhd with depression, anxiety, OCD.

I'm curious on:
- what it's like
- how long the timeline is
- how to apply
- i'm worried about getting excluded - do they have a strict exclusion criteria? could i run into issues with comorbid diagnosis or medications?
- do they look at your official medical records and diagnoses/prescriptions?
