I’m moving and no longer have space for my C2, sadly. What mini LED monitors available right now are a good deal?

The C2 was great, but its low brightness was pretty annoying if using during the day, as I’d have to go around closing every blind to use it. After 10k hours I swear it’s also gotten less bright, although I have no way of empirically confirming this, and there isn’t much evidence of burn in. The brightness is mostly the reason why I’d like to switch to miniLED, along with the fact that LED won’t burn in(even though I never had issues with it, better safe than sorry).

I’d much prefer a 32” monitor over a 34” UW / 27” 16:9, but options here seem very slim. I’m looking at TCL R84, but I’ve never used a VA panel before, only OLED and IPS, so how does it stack up? Also, even on sale for $650, there seems to be quite a few 27” monitors with similar specs in terms of HDR rating, dimming zones, resolution, and refresh rate for $350 or less.

For resolution I’d like 4K, but 1440p is fine too. Use case is probably 70/30 gaming/productivity. Obviously at least a 120hz refresh rate is needed, but I’d prefer not to overpay for something with an insane 240hz+ refresh rate if I can help it, since I don’t have a top end rig that can do 4K 120 in modern games, much less 4K 240.

So my EVGA 3080 crapped out on me 1yr after the warranty ran out, and as a result I’m unfortunately looking for a new gpu in the worst market since the bitcoin boom. Any suggestions? I see people lauding the 9070xt as the value king, but every thread I see discussing GPU prices was before the most recent round of price hikes. I see the 9070GRE being flamed for being “a worse 9070 at the same price”, but with the current Amazon/newegg prices ($540 GRE, $660 regular, $730 XT) it almost seems like a decent deal. The 5070ti is also propped up as the Nvidia sweet spot for price/performance, and yet I haven’t seen a single one for under $900.

The most I’m willing to spend is $800. I am in the US, but there are no microcenters(or any brick and mortar PC stores) near me, so that isn’t an option. I currently play mostly older games, and in 4K, but am considering downsizing to a 1440p. The rest of my build is a 5600x with 3600mhz 16gb ddr4.

I’m also open to used market suggestions, but from what I’ve seen, the used market doesn’t offer that much of a bargain, and I’m also worried about paying $400+ for an ex-mining gpu that dies on me 1-2 years out.

Reassembled my pc today, after my aio broke and I had to order a new cpu cooler. Now it simply won’t POST at all, VGA led is on while system fans run at 100%. I’ve tried reseating all connections, trying a different wall outlet, clearing CMOS(no idea if this worked or not since I don’t have display output). I don’t know if this was caused by me taking off the GPU shroud to clean caked dust from the heatsink- I didn’t touch the board except for disconnecting the fans and RGB headers, which both still seemingly work fine.

I don’t have any spare parts, nor any repair shops near me apart from best buy. Is there any way to know if my GPU is dead?

The #2 advice we always get is to work on our appearance, after the personality bs of course. How has that worked for you guys? It’s really hard to be motivated to research and experiment with fashion, hair and skin care, and healthy cooking, then getting down a routine and putting this into practice every single day, on top of going to the gym for an hour+ daily, on TOP of all the wageslaving and chores you have to do as a single person.

However, it does get irritating when you see someone complaining about being ugly and they’re just fat or something else that’s fixable. idk how girls feel about guys regarding fitness, but as a straight guy, I feel like 80% of girls could go from ugly to above average with a bunch of hard work at the gym, especially since I live in the US, where it feels like over half of everyone is overweight. Yeah it isn’t easy but it is 1000% better than being ugly your whole life.

Personally im going to try going all out just for a little bit. Im praying i turn out to not be as ugly as I think, but imo the main reason im ugly is being short, and there is no way to fix that apart from a 6 figure surgery. Im also kinda hoping that a low bf% will kill my sex drive, ive heard of bodybuilders saying that it sometimes has that effect, and no sex drive + a 6 pack sounds awesome

I get how annoying it is to be bombarded with posts from obnoxious chicks endorsing 4B on tiktok, but cmon. Half the dudes here are acting like all women are secretly setting up some new world order where all men will be gas chambered and every woman will be a lesbian. Have you guys even met any lesbians, even online? Their dating market is nearly as bad as ours. Women aren’t lesbians, they just have hardly any sex drive in general, and most women don’t hate men, they are just completely indifferent. This only FEELS like hate when it’s compared to the absolute passion and devotion most men feel towards women, and this discrepancy *should* be what more people discuss, instead of the 100th repost of sallyann9184 on tiktok saying “i hate my ex husband and all men should die”.

I feel like the amount of damage that simps have done to the dating market is also barely touched upon. Instead of calling out these women who you are a metaphorical ant in terms of importance to, maybe start calling out other dudes who do shit for random women and get absolutely nothing in return other than a pat on the back. Of *course* a lot of women have massive egos when they can go online at any time and find a dude willing to venmo her lunch money within half an hour. These guys are also way more willing to listen to another dude looking out for them, than the misandristic trolls that come on here just looking for arguments. Just some food for thought.

Personally I don’t really think so, because if it were, then it means:

-the Cascadians just casually had the world’s most powerful flying battleship, that makes the eminent domain look like a plastic toy boat in comparison(a ship which featured in multiple missions and was explicitly said to be one of cascadia’s most valuable assets)
-said flying fortress is never mentioned whatsoever in the main campaign and seemingly never partakes in any of the major defensive battles in cascadia
-The federation also just randomly has a dude that is as good or better than monarch, and never even thinks about sending him to the front line

I feel like its more plausible that the Roosevelt is maybe only slightly stronger than something like a 205 S, if even that, and Driver is canonically above average but not quite peacekeeper level, considering how no one in the campaign seems to go “holy shit this guy is cracked” like they do with monarch, they just mention he’s “above expectations” a few times.

I guess it would be somewhat funny if it was canon tho. It’d also mean C1 is an absolute fraud, better pilots than him are way more common than we’d think, and he only got to the top via big talk and political connections.

I decided to try rl1 for the hell of it, and was actually pleasantly surprised that I was able to get through all of the bosses with relative ease. All of the bosses that is, until these fuckers.

50 attempts in and no joke, the best I’ve done is getting them to 90% hp. I don’t want to use sleep pots bc they’re non renewable, so I’ve tried using St trina’s torch and sword, but both are way too slow to put them to sleep. I’ve tried staggering them with great stars and star fists, parrying, fighting them straight up with my bloodhounds fang and a ton of defense buffs that let me survive 1 hit, no luck. I’ve tried separating them, but they stick together like glue, and even if I manage to do so after 2 minutes of running around the arena, the other guy just sprints back to us anyway after I get one light attack off on his boyfriend.

They have so many unintentional and seemingly unavoidable roll catches by the sole virtue of there being 2 of them. 90% of my deaths are from rolling/parrying one guy’s attack and immediately eating a fireball or stab from the other one.

What is the strat here? I struggle somewhat on these bosses even in a regular playthrough(assuming im not overleveled), they seem flat out impossible in rl1.

**So from what I understand, being tarnished is:**
-A group that includes the player, godfrey, his army and their descendants, and the roundtable hold NPCs

-Getting resurrected at the start of the game by marika(?) to take control of TLB and create a new order

-Not having the guidance of grace

**What I don’t get is:**

-How many tarnished were actually resurrected? The intro cutscene makes it seem like it was just the strongest warriors or most famous, but Boggart was also tarnished and specifically points out that he isn’t anyone special.

-Who controls where grace points you? Is it tied to marika’s will?

-Why do all the NPCs treat tarnished as if they’re random homeless bums instead of conquering super-warriors?

-Do all the soldiers and animals attack you specifically because you’re tarnished, or just for gameplay reasons?

-Knowing that being tarnished was looked upon like this, why did marika banish godfrey in the first place? Couldn’t he have gotten stronger by just fighting in the badlands without being banished?

-Why was messmer told to kill anyone tarnished instead of just the hornsent? So if godfrey pulled up to his place, they’d also have to fight to the death? Again, why did marika do this?

-And finally, how dogshit is the world outside TLB if so many tarnished are willing to come back to a destroyed shithole, rather than just live out their second lives peacefully somewhere else?
