Faster muscle growth?
Context: I'm quite young and used to work out quite a bit. I spent about a year or so working out from absolutely skinny to on the lower end of healthy BMI. Used to be BMI 17.5, then around 19, now I'm 20.2
In the last 2 or so months I've picked up working out again. However, this isn't at the gym anymore, instead I only do pushup variations and pullup variations. I did lose about 3kg of weight be it fat and muscle a few months ago but now I've regained it all back and I'm my heaviest eating a very high fat and protein diet.
What I wanted to say is that in these last 2-2.5 months I've been doing calisthenics following this kind of diet (lots of meat and dairy), I've visibily noticed quicker muscle growth than I ever have on a diet where I ate lots of peanut butter, oats, bread, and some milk.
I'm guessing this is semi newbie gains + more bioavailable protein, zinc, and creatine from the food I eat which let's my body form it so efficiently. Right now I physically look as if I've been working out for about a year straight even though I was fairly skinny and thin a few months back.
Lmk what you think
