withdrawals & pregnancy
I am 27 weeks pregnant with my third baby. I am 6 days in from lowering my dosage of my SSRI medication (Lexapro) and the irritability and helplessness and just self downing I feel is just so much right now. I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old and I had been on my Lexapro during both of those pregnancies, same dosage 20mg, and my first son came out fine. My second ended up having to be in the NICU for 6 days because he experienced withdrawal from my medication! Of course that made me feel like a million bucks right.
So this time around I was like I'm not putting my baby at risk and taking the risk of her having withdrawals, so I talked to my doctor about weaning off my medication. After my one year old was born I also started Wellbutrin 300mg. I am off of it now and have started the weaning process for my Lexapro (been on it for idek, maybe almost 10 years) and I'm losing my mind.
I'm constantly talking shit about myself in my head. Every little thing is pissing me off or making me feel like I'm drowning. My 5 year old is at the point right now of testing boundaries and whining and pitching a fit about every single thing! I'm trying so hard to keep myself together so I'm not screwing up my kids' childhoods and being a mean, shitty mom. I'm exhausted from just being pregnant and on top of it, dealing with the worst SPD pain. I also feel like I'm ripping open on the side of my c section scar, but don't worry it's normal 🙃
I feel my heartbeat all over my body when I try to take a deep breath to calm myself down. My grandma who was my everything to me passed away Jan. 2024 and she was also my neighbor, so now I ultimately have no one and feel like, I know I've mentioned before, but feel like I'm just drowning. I just want to sleep for the next 3 months till I can have this baby, another thing bothering me, I wanted to have my baby naturally so bad.
My first was an induction 2 days after my due date which I failed to progress past 5cm so had to be emergency c section. My second baby, I wanted a VBAC and according to statistics and other people's stories I was a good candidate but no they put me on the repeat c section list 3 days before my due date! I wish I would've said no, and I really really wish I would've refused an induction the first time because that is what started it all. Now with my third they put me on the c section list once again. Why can't I have my baby the way I was born to?! Ugh it's so frustrating. I know this is all over the place I just needed to vent.
SPD relief
Does anyone have any advice or tips to relieve SPD or pelvic pain? Other than the basics that come up when you google or what doctors recommend (keep legs together when getting up or sitting down, pillow between legs while sleeping, & taking small steps) did anything else actually help?? This is my 3rd pregnancy and last time I experienced this pain and now it is back. Last time I went to a chiropractor who used that click gun directly on my pelvis and pubis mons and that didn't seem to help just hurt super bad!!
Did you do anything to encourage your body for a VBA2C?
My first (2021) was a failed induction turned into emergency cs, he was 8lbs 12oz.
My second baby (2025) was a repeat cs due to them automatically just putting me on the schedule without giving my body a chance, I tried everything to naturally induce myself: raspberry leaf tea, walking, bouncing on yoga ball, pineapples, sex, all I knew to do and nothing. I actually felt contractions with him though however at my 39 week appointment I was not dilated at all. He was 8lbs 4oz.
This is my 3rd baby and I am due 11/6 and it is a girl. So far the ultrasound tech said she is most likely not going to be big like the boys were. Would that make a difference in my body going into natural labor? Did you try anything that you believed worked to help your body naturally labor?
it feels like I'm tearing open
This is my third pregnancy, I have had 2 c sections in the past. My first being 7/3/21 & my last was 6/27/25. Now I am 6.5 months pregnant and if I am up moving around for awhile like at work or cleaning at home, I will feel like ripping on one side of my c section (I felt this same pain in the same spot while healing from my last c section & the doctor said it was more tender there bc he was standing on the side when delivering my baby and naturally pulls a little more in that direction rather than straight out). I've looked it up and internet says it's probably just nerves waking up or stretching. I go to my OB check up in 4 days but wondering if anyone has felt the same? My incision area is not red or swollen it just has the burning/ripping sensation
5 Year old Freak Outs
Please! I never had issues with terrible 2s or anything like that. He had always been the sweetest little baby! Now omg this guy makes me want to run away sometimes.
The past year for prek he did so well sleeping in his own bed with his baby brother in his room too. Now he will not sleep in there! I've gotten lamps, Christmas lights, LED lights, walkie talkies, everything I can think of and no luck. This of course has been causing issues within mine and his dad's relationship.
Also I had always been able to just redirect or distract him if something isn't/doesn't go his way and we were good. Now you can't even BEGIN to say a sentence contradicting what he is doing or wanting to do without immediate breakdown/whining/crying. I was never like this as a child, my dad would tell me stop crying or I'd get something to cry about. I was afraid to get my butt whooped for acting up or get soap in my mouth for back talking.
I don't want to be like my parents and have my child resent me but idk what to do sometimes. Whooping his butt doesn't work anymore, this dude will sometimes literally tell me I missed 🙃 like omg.
He loves playing video games and that is what we will take away if he refuses to listen but I will admit sometimes it's empty threats and repeating until he does listen. I know that is not the right thing to do. Just curious if anyone else has been in the same boat and what helped you?
Does the pain get better?
Had my first Brazilian a week ago and I was so sore for like 3 days I wore no underwear and just loose bottoms. I felt bruised to the point it hurt to wipe. Will the next time I get waxed still be that bad or does it get better/easier??
Thoughts on this girl name?
Juliet Elise Arroyo, what do you guys think?? I love the name Juliet and I've never met anyone named that. Elise was my grandma's middle name. I have 2 sons, Dominic Elian & Damian Joseph (didn't plan both to be D names. We picked Damian before we were pregnant with him (our second) and we never call our first by his name anyway
nsfw: Soy formula baby transitioning to Oat Milk diaper check!
Is this normal poop for a one year old switching from formula to a milk? He's been on soy formula since he was about a month and a half and first I had given him just 2oz of whole cows milk and he had bad diarrhea and blowouts. I switched to oat milk that is dairy and lactose free today and he seemed to like the taste more and has only pooped once within the 6 hours of drinking it. But is this normal looking for a transition that is healthy?
Parents who have soy formula babies
When your baby turned a year old were you able to give them regular milk if they could only tolerate soy formula or did you have to give them soy milk as well? I gave my one year old whole cows milk tonight and he only drank 2oz and then had diarrhea, so I'm wondering if that means he will need soy milk just like the formula (we have his 1 year appointment coming up but we ran out of formula tonight and I figured to go ahead and let him try regular milk. My first son didn't have any issues with regular formula or regular milk)
George giving his kidney
I got so annoyed that George actually agreed to give Manny his kidney after everything he has been through because of him. Also to risk anything happening to himself when he has a family and kids he built on his own without the help of manny. Manny also never even really speaks to Angie or the kids, just comes in when he needs something after all these years
Combined Birthday Parties
Anyone had a combined birthday for siblings? My sons will be turning 5 and turning 1. My 5 year old wants spider man and so I was thinking having him a spider man backdrop and a spider man sheet cake & then a Ms. Rachel backdrop & cupcakes for that theme. Maybe a tiny cake for him to have a little smash cake? How separate did you do yours? Do we sing Happy Birthday twice or what did you do? I'd love any tips!
ETA: their birthdays are 6 days apart and at an indoor inflatable place so really it will be more fun for my eldest since he invited some of his friends from school, but I don't want to not do anything for my little one's first birthday :/
What's wrong my dog?
Why does my male dog smell my other male dog's butt? I'm not talking about the friendly dog butt smelling all dogs do real quick, I'm talking this guy will follow my other dog with his nose right at his butthole & I always have to yell at him. Then he'll be just sitting by him whining. Is he literally just being gay or what's going on? This is fairly new & the dog he's smelling was having issues awhile back pooping bloody diarrhea. Is he trying to tell me something?
We're having my sons' birthday party in the end of June so I wanted to send invites before school is out. I asked him if he wanted to invite his friends and he only wants to invite 3 or 4 (his best friends he says) if I send in envelopes in his folder for the teacher to put in said children's folders, does that look mean that I'm not inviting the whole class? Should I put a note in saying he wanted to invite his best friends? Lol I overthink everything I know. Let me also add this is prek
ETA: I don't know the parents information so I cannot do digital, idk how yall know every parent in your kid's class I don't even know whose kid is whose and the school cannot give personal information out? Confused at a lot of those comments
In the wedding vow renewal episode, the guy Rob (I think is his name, I can't remember now lol) from the band that played at the end of the episode is the writer of Sharkboy & Lava Girl! Which explains why George got the role Mr. Electric/the teacher in the movie
