Can anyone identify the singer doing background vocals on Rescene's Runaway?

Can anyone identify the singer doing background vocals on Rescene's Runaway?

I really love this song and you can hear another singer (I don't believe this is a member of Rescene because they don't sound like this in any other song) doing some backing vocals here (doing the response "I run a-way", and I think is also mixed in with some of the chorus vocal sections. The voice is extremely familiar from (I think) non-kpop solo work but I can't put my finger on who it is and I can't find the full track credits including backing vocals. Does anyone have any idea who this is?

Every track on Heart Byte: Legacy has now surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify!

I know I'm still listening to the whole thing at least once most days :D

Where would/do you put the CD-only tracks in the tracklist?

Daydreaming can go in lots of places imo but I've been really married to Life is a Game looping back into ALIVE since the first time I heard it.

Albums/Minis/Groups where your favorite song is the one with the fewest streams.

For me examples of this would be Fondue by DKB, and Street by Gugudan which are honestly my all-time favorite songs from those artists but both sit at the bottom in streams of their respective releases.

Alternatively groups where your favorite title track is the least popular.

What are examples of this for y'all? Obviously it might not be the same on all platforms, or unclear if a song has multiple versions or something like that, mostly just looking for times where you LOVE something that most people are meh on

Looking for videos of Kpop idols hearing their songs played out in public

Really in need of some positivity today and one of my favorite genre of behind the scenes clips/content is idols reacting to hearing their songs played out and about.

Any idol/group welcome and videos can be old or new

Thank you !

Give me a group and i'll give you top 2 and bottom 2 tracks (older, obscure, and nugu groups encouraged!)

but any group is fine big or small! I have listened to a decent chunk of groups from the last two decades but If I don't have an answer I'll ask for suggestions!

My answers will be mostly lighthearted but I will roast the bottom songs if i think they deserve it

My top artists this month, I try to listen to a large variety but I'm definitely in a heavier kpop era right now. Big shoutout to the person on here who asked if I was being paid to post about HOW, actually they just grabbed me by the throat and took control of my headphones immediately lmao

Also everyone should listen to itzel she is quietly cooking something really cool

Give me a kpop song and I will tell you if it's better or worse than the 2015 smash hit MOMMAE by Jay Park featuring Ugly Duck

Please note that my opinions are infallible and my word is final <3

Looking for a picture of i-dle from around 2020

I have this vivd memory of them attending a "Virtual red carpet" I believe to an American awards show and the Virtual red carpet was just like a paper background someone had put up and their outfits were baffling. I'm pretty sure these were from covid lockdown era but it might have been from before. Anyways I cannot seem to find the evidence from this event does anyone know what I'm talking about?

When I say "Kpop Voice" whose voice comes to mind?

I feel like the answer will be different for everybody and I'm just curious what this means to other people.

This isn't necessarily your pick for "Best" vocalist or even necessarily the originator of a certain style or even the most iconic to do it, moreso whose voice do you think is most descriptive of the genre, most recognizably kpop (whatever that means to you)

For me the answer is Yoseob from Beast/Highlight like to me this is kpop. probably because "desperate yearning man" is one of the defining sounds of this genre for me.

Some others on my list: AOA Jimin, Blackpink Rosé, ONF Minkyun, Itzy Yeji, and IVE Leeseo

The biggest surprise success this year might end up being H.O.W (Heart of Woman)

(i think this still qualifies as early) at time of writing this group just passed 100k monthly listeners on spotify early indicators suggest that they're gaining momentum and generating interest and engagement quickly both abroad and in Korea.

The adjective i'd use to describe this debut is "Self Assured" this feels like a group of performers working extremely well as a team. I don't think all 11 (11!!!!) of the tracks on their debut project are perfect flawless 10/10s but I do think they show enormous potential and that the team picking the music understands both current trends and simple good music while also showing that the group has natural vocal chemistry and noticeable musicality.

I have found this debut one of the most exciting in recent memory and it's made me very interested to keep tabs on this group (and maybe even get into some of their non-performance content which is not common for me) Some of the songs are truly excellent, My Vision is definitely one of my favorite songs from this year and their title track is incredibly catchy

This debut project made me feel similarly to how I felt when I heard H1-KEY's first 3-track maxi and Fiftyfifty's debut ep. (those projects were followed up with Rose Blossom and Cupid respectively) sometimes taste and talent combine in a way and you can tell that it's just a matter of time until they land on something that really breaks out.

If you haven't had a chance to check them out yet I recommend their predebut hiphop track their show champion debut performance, their stage came for The Show their vocal performance of bside Close to Me their uniquely shot performance video of the excellent bside Told U So or just go listen to their 11 track debut project and decide if they pique your interest.

Obscure Mid/Bad songs that no one in the world remembers except you

I'm talking about the completely unremarkable stuff that no one ever brings up, no one recommends, no one nostalgia posts about, the stuff that may as well only exist in your memory. I'm talking about the T-ARA dupe Doradora by the girlgroup Nep, I'm talking Good Night the Mblaq-Infinite-Beast-Shineelike by the boygroup HITT, I'm talking about You Got Some Nerve by Feeldog Junhyung & LE, which has the distinction of being both the most blatant Big Bang rip and also the most 2013 song I've ever heard in my life. I'm talking about the Vampire themed boygroup M.pire who i only remember because I had come up with that name for a fake kpop group like a month before they debuted.

Fellow nugu/old kpop listeners, please share that weird ephemera you have found that you don't like.... recommend, but for some reason you still remember it.

Idols who you could see fitting/thriving in another group

I was watching aespa's choreo video for WDA and the thought popped in my head that Hikaru from Kep1er would absolutely murder this song and choreo. Hikaru has been on my mind recently because I've found her performances for Killa to be super compelling. She is a VERY good dancer and a charismatic rapper + has really dynamic/dramatic facial expressions, I think her tone, delivery, and energy would both add contrast AND compliment the current lineup of aespa in a way that's quite fun for me to imagine.

Obviously this is all just speculative fanfic but are there any other idols who you think would do really well / add something new and interesting if added to another groups' lineup or a specific era?

Serious analysis of 2026 kpop trends

After doing a serious and in-depth review and analysis of some of 2026's biggest kpop hits:

  • Redred by Cortis
  • Good Goodbye by Hwasa,
  • Body to Body by BTS
  • Bang Bang by IVE
  • Catch Catch by Yena,
  • That's a No No by Itzy

I have come to the conclusion that the most important aspect of a hit song is having the same word in the title twice
