Anti jackpot

When I made this shitpost, I didn't think it was in good taste, but these people really do exist and are actively allowed in anti-AI spaces.

The hate toward AI artists and AI art users has gotten completely unhinged. Seeing someone spam “rape AI artists” over and over is not criticism, it is harassment, sexual violence rhetoric, and straight-up dehumanization. You can dislike AI art, generative AI, AI image tools, or the way companies use training data without turning artists, hobbyists, editors, prompt writers, and creators into targets for rape threats. That is not “protecting artists.” That is just using moral outrage as an excuse to be cruel.

The disturbing part is how similar the language pattern feels to other online hate campaigns: take a group of people, reduce them to a label, treat that label like it makes them less human, then justify abuse because they are “the bad ones.” That does not mean AI artists have the same history or lived experience as LGBTQ+ people, racial minorities, disabled people, or other marginalized groups. They do not. But the tactic of turning people into acceptable targets through repeated slurs, threats, dogpiling, and moral panic is absolutely familiar. A person using AI art tools is still a person. They do not deserve rape threats because they generated an image, used Stable Diffusion, posted AI-generated art, or experimented with a new creative workflow.

Anti-AI art people can criticize AI companies, copyright issues, data ethics, job displacement, lazy spam, and low-effort AI content without acting like violent harassment is acceptable. The second someone starts posting rape threats against AI artists, they lose the moral high ground completely. Reddit, Twitter, TikTok, and art communities need to stop pretending this kind of anti-AI art harassment is normal discourse. Hate comments like that are not activism. They are not art criticism. They are not protecting creativity. They are just violent, disgusting harassment dressed up as a “good cause.”
