Batman in the Hot Tub

Batman in the Hot Tub

I got this for £20 about a year ago. Second hand, tiny scratch on the glass... One where you really have to look for it and even when you do, it's not easy to find.

Entire point was to get it into water and not care.

I have a hot tub for therapy and my youngest son won't allow me in it without him 😂 so we've been working on his swimming techniques, his numbers and teaching him to tell the time too.

Doesn't matter what the scenario... Cold or hot, this watch deals with it easily and hasn't let me down once.

I have the grey dial too that the wife likes for dates... Which also got worn today.

A watch is a tool, it's the memories you have wearing them that matter... They're timeless.

A third? Maybe? Suggestions?

I want a Hulk Duro... Would have to mod the green dial one. Or, do a movement swap on a Green dial and a green bezel Duro.

Would end up with a black Duro I didn't want as I have an Orient Kano black on black.

Any advice? 😂

Kano AA0008B19B

The big Orient is slapping hard today! Never get bored of looking at this. Everything is just done right.

Yeah, I have a straight end link Jubilee... Carry on.

Berny AM439M compressor diver

Movement: Miyota 8215 automatic.

Crystal: Sapphire with an inner AR coating.

Water Resistance: Rated at 200M (20ATM) with screw-down crowns.

Dimensions: 42mm case, 48mm lug-to-lug, and about 13.5mm thick.

A bidirectional rotating inner bezel controlled by the crown at 2 o'clock.

Review: This is one hell of a watch. Had it a while, worn it loads and had it in salt water, fresh water and various pools.

It's a strap monster and I've recently put it back in the bracelet for the summer.

I'm so impressed, I'm currently selling 5 watches to buy a second and maybe 3rd Berny 😂

Anyone share their own experience?

Struggling to swap it out.

I've had it on different straps and bracelets. It's comfortable regardless. Look immense. I could only ask for slightly bigger... Maybe a 43mm or a longer lug to lug... But I'm being picky.

Unless Addiesdive wants to make one?

You just can't complain...

I have 4 Orient Watches.

Bambino, Sun and Moon, Kano and this Mako.

Mako was a gift from my parents when I first started getting into watches. It's a great piece... They all are.

My only request would be an updated Kano... Even with a solar movement. Something over the 42mm size.

Smart Casual event... Nailed it.

A friend's 30th birthday... Smart casual was the order of the day. Can't get more smart casual than a Bambino on a waffle NATO.

ADDIESDIVE AD2089

ADDIESDIVE AD2089

So pretty! Genuinely wasn't sure how the dial was going to turn out... Had to pop off the Cyclops... Wasn't doing it for me at all. The rest of the watch is immense.

Stupid for the money too.

Jubilee with no end links...

This watch takes a damn good photo... Addiesdive model MY- H3.

I put it on this Jubilee bracelet, that had no end links... It's very comfortable and looks a tad rebellious 😂

Anyone get what I mean?

Mykonos. Didn't let me down at all.

On a cruise round the Med for my honeymoon. Had to take the Duro... Obviously. Really has done me well. Had compliments... Trust me, I have 😂

Sea, pool, cities, towns, ancient ruins and caves. The Duro has been tested and taken everything thrown at it.

Any info... Casio DW-270 1985

Any ideas what this is worth, if anything?

Must admit, my vintage Casio knowledge is poor, so any info would be appreciated 👍🏼

No box, no papers, no strap that I'm aware of... It does fully work as it's supposed to... Wouldn't guarantee the WR though.

I gave in... And kinda love it.

Was never a huge fan of bracelets... Least of all AA Jubilee.

Got one for cheap off someone selling it online. It basically looks new. Put it on the Batman... And made it a Batgirl 😂

I'm enjoying it.

Brother bought me an NH35 movement for my birthday...

Finally finished the build.

  1. Snapped the seconds hand (my fault)

  2. Chapter ring and dial don't line up... Chapter ring came with the case so I don't think this is my fault.

I'm relatively pleased with the outcome. Learned a lot and it definitely made me realise that paying £150 for a watch with an NH35 movement in it is worth the money 😂

Any opinions? Any advice?

MDV-107D-8AV - Grey Dial

Grey racing style rubber strap (very nice from Temu)

Obviously, the title is a joke, nobody cared or even noticed 😂... Just as none of you will care about what car I ordered but you will care about the Duro 😂

So I'm heading on my honeymoon cruise around the Mediterranean...

Ive gone for a Japanese/Chinese affordable mix. It's these 6 and 1 on the wrist.

Citizen Peyton 44mm - Dress

Steeldive 1964 45.5mm - 100 Bar and Green

Addiesdive 41mm - 20 Bar and black

Berny Compressor 42mm - 20 Bar with more colour

Casio Duro Grey Dial 44mm - 20 Bar and Dress

G-Shock GA-2000 - it's a Gshock...

Not sure what to wear on the wrist as a 7th...

I went for these as it covers most occasions. Anything I'm missing?
