Hi all! My fiance and I got engaged after dating for 2 years. We plan to have our wedding sometime in 2028, but I just realized that our parents/families haven't met each other. He's met my family, and I've met his but that's about it. Our parents and other families haven't met. It made me curious on when everyone's parents met each other, and how did you guys do it?

Bonus question: How did it go?

Hi! Just curious if anyone has wedding venue recommendations on long island that doesn't have a minimum guest count. I've found some beautiful places within our budget but then it always has either a minimum 100 or 50 guests. We were looking to have a more intimate wedding of 30-40 people, and preferably an all inclusive venue (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, catering etc) if possible.

Bit of a rant here sorry..

My fiancé and I have an amazing relationship. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. After many failed relationships, it’s the healthiest I’ve ever been in, and I’m deeply in love with him, and he treats me so so well. However, we seem to be incompatible in bed. For example: I’ve always been on the adventure side. I wouldn’t say anything crazy, but I like experimenting like having sex in “public” but not in the open like in a car, in a tent by the beach at night, somewhere secluded etc, trying new positions, incorporating toys/food etc. -again nothing too crazy. My fiancé isn’t really into all of that. He is extremely paranoid about doing anything outside the house even if we took precautions. We always do the same two positions (missionary and doggy) and we don’t really experiment. I also don’t always finish. There are a lot of times where we’ll do it, he finishes and it kinda just ends there, and when I do finish, I also take an extremely long time to do so (which I want to mention I’ve never experienced with other partners). Its not like he doesn’t try either. Most time he does try but it doesn’t always end up successful. To be blunt, I love oral sex however I just don’t think it works out for him. He’s tried different techniques, I’ve tried helping him but it’s not always successful. We’ve had healthy conversations where I’ve expressed my frustrations with my needs not being met and he listens without feeling defensive. He would try to meet my needs, and he really does try his best but it doesn’t ever really work out. I’m starting to think we’re just too incompatible in bed. I love this man so deeply and breaking up is absolutely not an option in my head, however I do know this is something that will continue to build up and bother me. Has anyone gone through the same thing and was able to work it out?

Hi everyone! I have a cruise planned next month, and its only going to be me and my 6 year old. I've never travelled with just me and him before and I'm honestly a little bit nervous. It's only a 4 night cruise and I chose Royal Carribean's Jewel of the Seas so it's not as crowded compared to the bigger and newer ships. Any helpful advice?

Hello everyone, I’m looking to seek some clarity with my vision test. I scored the following:

Scores without correction
Far vision: Both eyes 20/25

Scores with correction:
Far vision: Right Eye- 20/25
Far Vision: Left Eye- 20/25
Near Vision: Both Eyes - 20/20

They said I did not meet the passing score for both eyes w/o correction, however from my understanding, the lower that right number the better the vision. Can someone please help me get some clarity?

Hello everyone,
I just wanted some advice on how to compromise on a wedding budget. I would really like to have a very small and intimate wedding for the purpose of keeping our costs low. I am very money conscious and I would rather invest money into our future or our honeymoon than on a wedding. My fiance wants to invite all his extended family members, which would increase our budget. He believes that it is a once in a lifetime celebration and that it's worth spending a lot of money on. Now I also have a very large family, and if we had all the money in the world, I would love to invite all our friends and families, but we do not. I value his perspective because it's also his wedding and he is allowed to have his own opinions but now I'm not sure how we are going to navigate our budget. The maximum budget I was looking to spend was $8-10k and his was $30k. 

Hey everyone, I know that everyone is probably tired of the bonus questions but I have a unique situation.

I was a paraprofessional for two years until I resigned December 2025. I was never actually removed from the system because around April of this year, I started a new position within the DOE, but I’m no longer under UFT. However, since I haven’t fully made the transition into this role, my payroll still says paraprofessional UFT salary. My question is, would I still qualify for this bonus since I did work up until December, and it still says I’m UFT?
