I enjoyed how they handled the Leaves from the Vine Ba Sing Sei part in the live action show

I actually really enjoyed how they handled Iroh's moments leading up to him breaking down over the loss of his son. Obviously it's something that still haunts him and being in Ba Sing Sei would absolutely bring up all those memories of losing him during the siege.

When he gets to the tree and finally can't hold his emotions anymore it's very poignant, especially after seeing the names of those killed during the siege Iroh led on top of the survivors scarred from the fire nations actions.

I'm also happy they didn't have him sing the song. The Avatar fanbase holds that song in a very revered manner, even to the point that Iroh's current voice actor refuses to sing it because he sees it as solely Mako's song.

The series is far from perfect but I've been enjoying aspects of it and this was one that stood out for me.

I think Live Action adaptions have a unique opportunity with the Avatar franchise

I love the Korra series but am among the many who wish the series was 4 seasons from the start instead of 1 then another then 2 more.

I think the possibility of a live action adaptation of Korra, if allowed a full 3-4 season run from the get go, could give us an alternative story that has those 3-4 seasons to develop not only the main character but also a main villain and a cohesive main storyline without fear of needing to wrap it all up in a single season because they are unsure of renewal.

Not saying it should be done by Netflix but some streaming service could have a great opportunity. If the creators are also involved we might be able to see what their intended storyline was if they had a full 4 seasons to do the show.

The house my Wife and I are dropping on a small plot of land in a few months

We are getting a manufactured home with some improvements (full dry wall, higher pitched roof, master bath, etc) and dropping it on a slab on a small private lot in a few months. Everything is already set in stone, the last step is selling our current house which goes on sale in a couple weeks.

Taking Bogles onto the competitive scene

Bogles List

There's the list for anyone who wants to see it. I will tell you now that this deck has performing exceptionally well save for one specific deck.

It's a fairly traditional bogles list and it does pretty typical bogles things. It's fast, gets big, gains life, and is resilient against the targeted removal heavy meta that pioneer tends to be. While obviously there's the fear you don't draw one of the creatures to get started, the odds are low enough (like modern bogles) that it rarely is a problem.

Mulligans aren't terribly painful because of how big the creatures can get in only a couple turns.

Game's 2 and 3 only boost favorability because the deck is already doing well against most decks so you are only adding certain cards to boost consistency.

The biggest weakness is golgari and control. That's because they run sweepers main deck that pretty well most everything in the deck. Hence the single heroic intervention main deck. But game's 2 and 3 even out more once you side in more heroic interventions or origins of metal bending.

Golgari is probably the worst matchup because of culling ritual. Control less so because origins of metal bending deals both with verdict and lockdown while Heroic intervention deals best with culling ritual.

I do feel this deck can be a monster in the format given enough time and effort. My plan is to take this into the 2027 season by hitting multiple RCQ's and seeing if I can qualify for a RC like I did with Naya Haste Tribal in 2023.

Early testing online is giving a strong showing against many decks game 1 with game 2 and 3 only making it stronger.

As it stands against the current meta:

Golgari - Disadvantage

Greasefang - coin flip

Selesnya Company - coin flip

Mono-red Aggro - Advantage

This August I'm being tested for Myoclonus Dystonia

It stems from my Mom's side of the family who all have it to some varying degree.

My uncle has been officially diagnosed. His case has become quite severe to the point where he can no longer feed, dress, and wipe himself. I know I was born with it. I was seen by a neurologist as a toddler because of my hands shaking badly. As I grew up I adapted to try and accommodate it but I'm now in my 40's and I know as I get older neurological conditions can worsen and I'm starting to see symptoms that are impossible to ignore. I am not as bad as my uncle was when he was my age but I'm still worried about how it may progress as I get older.

Any advice for someone facing this fully for the first time? I know my level is worse than everyone on my mom's side besides my one uncle but it hasn't been so bad that it's affected my quality of life, yet.
