Hey all I’m needing help with this measurement.
I just received the tailgate saver from LS fabrication and I need help with the tailgate part of the installation.

I need to know the center point of this bolt as pictured below is on this 400 tailgate. This is from one of the several videos on YouTube but my problem is that there’s not one video for a 50/50 split if you have a 400 suv!

Reason being that my 50/50 tailgate split is not made the same way. So I need this measurement so I can finish putting in the tailgate saver!

If someone can measure that bolt from the end of the tailgate so I can get as close as possible to that spot on my tailgate I’d really appreciate it! Thanks 🍻

Today I took my 400 Escalade to its first car show as far as it participating in one!!
It was me and my 2 kids and we had a great time at the show! Here’s the one picture I took as there was always someone walking bye when I got around to snapping a picture.

Spark-plugs car show was the host and the members were all friendly. Some of the lookers weren’t as friendly or stopped to look but that’s their loss!! lol

There was a couple other 400’s there a custom red lowered extended cab that had a gold flake metallic regular red color with paint matched tonneau cover with painted rails on top of it.

The other 400 looked like a 454 ss but wasn’t. But was a total custom built truck with custom made 20” C4 wheels that were offset and the rears were at least a foot wide or wider with a 4-6” deep dish lip!

Big old motor painted turquoise which was weird because nothing else was turquoise on the truck!
But was done to a good degree of craftsmanship as the bed was altered to look factory or to still be able to use it as a regular pickup.

Just got one of my Father's Day gifts of having my front 2 windows get tinted matched with the other factory tinted windows!! Besides getting new headlight housings this should be the last exterior modification! Few of the pictures are old btw and do not have the tint.
But she's looking damn good for 290,605 miles on its clock!! I give a big salute to you my fellow 400 owners with a brew and some PUTS= people under the stairs hip hop group- down in LA, the breakdown, keepin it live, acid rain drops, Saturday nights, LA nights, out tha clubETC....🍻🍻

Hey all a little bit ago someone posted there gmt900 Tahoe with blackened 2015-2020 Escalade taillights.

I can’t remember if OP mentioned that this would be a kool mod onto a gmt400. So I’m posting this picture of this 2 door which has this mod.

An it has Dubai looking plates or European style plates.

I personally would like to know how it was done!
As this would potentially look very nice on my own actual hmt400 Escalade! 🍻

Hi all I’m just wondering what others in the audio community are experiencing or thinking is starting or going to be the next hot pieces of gear?

Im talking about pieces that have been cheap for years or some time now but that you feel are going to be hot items within the year ?

I’ll start the conversation off with my thoughts. Which I believe the next hot pieces are going to be the late 1980’s - early 1990’s electronic/digital display receivers!

I think with all the dancing lights and numerous buttons that give you the time warping to take you back to a different time. Not that other receivers don’t have this ability!

It’s that with younger audiophiles who are techy would appreciate this type of display more than other displays. That’s why I think these are going to be the next hot items!

Obviously this was the top of the line JVC and has all the bells and whistles that they offered then along with the most elaborate digital display.

As my son saw a couple over my shoulder while i was browsing CL and some other audio sites. He was saying that that’s the type of receiver hed want if I/he were to start building a system of his own!

Hi everyone I’m seeking advice on restaining these Sony’s for my son. He wants them to look more like my big B&W 803D 1’s.

Is using a random orbital sander with high or low grit ok to use? Or should I be sanding bye hand?

I’m only doing the 4 sides not the fronts or backs depending on how it looks. These are for the start of his own little system that I’m still putting together. 🍻

Here’s my original 2000 Escalade gmt400 generation and I have just over 290k!

I just smothered the interior with skidmores leather paste! I also did a light once over on my wife’s Cadillac2014 SRX luxury seats and other leather surfaces.

Just picked up these not perfect but pretty darn good shape for getting dropped off at this particular thrift shop as they always have tons of receivers and lower grade subs and just a bunch of DVD players and CD players, but it’s all real BPC stuff!!

I just stopped on a whim and looked around just happened to see these out of the corner of my eye took the grills off and I was sold as long as the price was right. The guy said how about 40 I said how about 30 done.

I just stopped at my house to drop them off as I driving my little work car and the whole backseat was taken up and I pick up my kids from school here in a minute lol.🍻🍻

Hey all I got caught out in the rain a little bit but it’s nice when I do to see this happen. I keep up with spray wax after every wash and/ or doing a once over before going out and about during the weekend. 🍻

Typical when rain hits as I keep it waxed up.
