When I was graduating, I was SO stressed out. I kept thinking about my experiences in hospitals, the fact that I didn't have a strong skill set, and how much money my family had spent on my degree. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to find a job and that I would become a burden on my family.

So, I applied for a private school job. They gave me an offer letter and everything.

Then, suddenly, I got a call telling me that I had also applied to a government school and had a written exam there. I had already received an offer from the private school, so I thought, "Why would the government school select me? I only have a degree." 😭

But I thought, okay, I'll just give the test.

The next morning, I got ready completely half-heartedly and went there. When I arrived, there were around 20–25 people taking the test, and many of them had YEARS of experience. I got terrified and immediately thought, "I shouldn't have even come. There's no way they'll select me."

Anyway, I gave the test, and it actually went well. Then they called us for the demo. I did my demo and then they made us wait.

Suddenly, they started calling names and told some people to go home and that they would be contacted later. But they told me to stay.

That was the first moment I thought, "Wait... maybe I actually have a chance?" 😭

Eventually, only two of us were left. They took us to the principal's office, and I was SO, SO nervous. I had my interview with the principal, and then...

GUESS WHAT???

SHE SELECTED ME. 😭😭😭

She literally told me that I was hired, gave me my joining date, and told me my pay scale.

LIKE... WHAT????? 😭😭😭

ME???

I'm turning 22 next month, and this is my FIRST EVER JOB, and I secured a government job??? I genuinely still can't believe it. 😭💗

This was one of those moments where I just sat there thinking, Allah ka bohat karam hai mujh par. 😭💗

I'm SO grateful and SO proud of myself.

For years, I thought, "I don't have any references. Nobody will give me a job. I don't have enough skills. I'll become a burden."

And then Allah did this for me on my first try. 🥹💗

I think this is your sign to keep putting yourself out there. Keep working. Keep trying even when you feel underqualified. Have confidence in yourself, but most importantly, believe in Allah's plan.

Sometimes you have absolutely no idea which door is going to open for you.

Alhamdulillah for this one. 🤍😭

UPDATE: I talked to my fiancé.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my original post. I read the advice carefully, and I decided not to immediately break things off or ignore the situation. I wanted to have a proper conversation with my fiancé and understand what is actually going on.

We had a very emotional conversation about all of this.

At one point, he said that if he feels insecure, I should help remove that insecurity. He also brought up the idea that if he asks, I should show him my Instagram, screenshare, or show him things because "if you have nothing to hide, what's the problem?"

That really bothered me.

I told him that trust shouldn't require screenshots, logins, screen sharing, or repeatedly proving that I'm loyal. I told him that I have always trusted him despite the fact that he's in Australia and I'm not physically there to know what he's doing every day.

I told him that I need basic personal space and privacy in a relationship. I don't want to live my married life feeling like I have to prove my innocence every time he becomes insecure.

He said he does trust me, but also kept saying that if a partner is insecure, the other person should help remove that insecurity.

We also argued about male-female friendships. I told him I no longer have the friendship he was uncomfortable with, but I also told him that his insecurity is something he needs to work on because I don't want every situation involving a man to become a test of my loyalty.

At one point, I told him that if he keeps saying he has trust issues with me, I won't tolerate it because it is extremely disrespectful to me.

The conversation became so emotional that he started talking about ending the relationship. He said that maybe we're both good people but not necessarily good for each other. He said he doesn't want to give up, that he loves me, but that he feels like I don't understand what he's trying to explain.

I was also extremely emotional and had a breakdown during the conversation.

We eventually decided that we would talk again properly instead of making a decision in the middle of an emotional argument.

And after thinking about everything, I don't want to argue about individual things anymore not the hair, not the male clients, not the job, not Instagram.

So we scheduled our conversation for today's night.

The thing is that I'm going through rough patch rn my father got admitted into hospital we came back but still there's a lot of things got disturbed and we still left with father's MRI and other things (Drs are saying be ready for something about kidneys)and whole household is in tension especially my mother .I don't have any sister I'm the only one I have brothers but idk if I should share this or not. I can't really rn put everyone into one more tension.

So Reddit, after everything I've described and now this conversation, what should I be looking for in his answer? And what would you consider a reasonable compromise versus giving up too much of myself?

I'm looking for recommendations for a highly experienced neurologist in Islamabad or Rawalpindi for my father.

He has a history of hepatitis C and was recently treated for a liver issue. His latest checkup and liver tests were reportedly normal, but over the past few weeks he has developed some concerning symptoms:

- Very low energy

- Speaking very softly

- Walking extremely slowly

- Noticeable slowing of movements

- Increased aggression/behavioral changes

- Today, he experienced hallucinations

Today I hosted My very first Webinar, I honestly can stop smiling🫠 because I am the very first Trainee Clinical Psychologist in my family.

I was so nervous beforehand and I kept thinking about everything that could go wrong but I decided to do it anyway💗💗.

It was a free webinar on Anxiety Management. Around 25 people were able to join (had some electricity issues so few couldn't make it). But every single person stayed until the end and asked me many questions and the feedback was genuinely encouraging.

I am seeing clients for about 1 year now and in physical I am so confident but for online I was hesitant but seeing people actually Listen , participate and find value in something I created was such a surreal feeling.

Even many emphasizes that I need to do often and I should start paid one because I really added my heart into ppt and guidance. I am so happy.
