Did enemies get buffed at some point? Armor shouldn't be drained this quickly

I came back to playing a few weeks ago after almost 3 years. And something in particular caught my attention: the sheer amount of armor and snacks I have to go through in every Pacific Standard, Casino or similar heists/missions. It doesn't seem normal that I have to constantly reach out to armor and food in order not to die, and worse, that regular enemies are tougher than me with full armor.

So, it begs the question, were enemies buffed at some point in these past 3 years? Or did armor/health get nerfed?

Is there a way to disable police sirens without also disabling all SFX?

One of the most annoying things in the game is having to hear sirens all of the time. I usually keep SFX disabled for that reason. Is there a way to disable only the siren sounds without also disabling everything else?

Whatsapp group chats no longer show creation date and authorship

One of the most interesting features of group chats, the creation date and authorship, which also had the secondary purpose of letting you know if you were a late addition to a group, are no longer a thing on Whatsapp.

Disable the warning that pops up when enabling Mobile Data

Is there a way to disable the warning that pops up when you enable Mobile Data? I find it extremely annoying but have not been able to find a way to get rid of it.

Patreon - when a paid service forces you to pirate

Something really interesting happened to me a week or so ago and it remembered me about Gaben's quote about piracy being a "service problem".

With Këmono dead, I wanted to give Patreon a go in order to get content from one specific artist which was never updated there at all pretty much.

But Patreon didn't want me. It not only took me a bunch of captchas and an e-mail verification to be able to create the account, they refused all of my cards with a nondescriptive error message. When I was about to try paypal, the site refreshed and asked for my login credentials again.

Once I tried to login, they showed me an error message saying my account was "deactivated", and sent me an email a few days later saying it is "pending removal".

So, they force you to humiliate yourself with captchas in order to create an account, then reject your payment without telling you why, then deactivate your account for no reason, also without telling you why, within 10 minutes of account creation.

Such level of enshittification really makes you wonder how it is widely used at all.

The game is the buggiest it's ever been

Today I've tried doing a heist. Any heist, including setups. In **all** of them someone disconnected. And in many of them I had the usual bugs reconnecting to a session. It's been 3 hours trying to do something with no success. The problem isn't even me, I didn't disconnect from any of the missions, and yet it has caused me such hassle. This is worse than the PS3 days.

In also nearly all of them people had issues moving their vehicles.

What happened?

People quitting after failing the heist once

This behaviour is so widespread now. Do people not realize they'll waste more time doing it all again than restarting it in the middle?

A way to automatically ban all users that leave a server

I have a couple servers listed on Disboard and I've noticed that a good 80% of all users that join seem to be bots that either stay still doing nothing or leave a few seconds after joining. Then, after a while, they join again, only to leave again.

I wanted an automated way to ban all of these bots - a good and easy way to approach this would be to simply ban all users that leave the server, dramatically reducing the amount of bot joins over time, with the added bonus of improving security. Of course, this would definitely have a few false positives (maybe an user accidentally leaves for some reason) but I believe it would be worth it.

Anyone has an idea of how to implement this?

Overwatch characters have bizarrely small rears to the point of anatomical impossibility - were they censored again at some point?

A couple or so weeks ago I decided to boot up Overwatch again just to see if I had anything on my account from the old days. I remember that, even prior to Overwatch 2, some characters had their behinds censored (Tracer, Widowmaker, DVa, for example).

I now noticed that, while Dva seems to have been "un-censored" in that regard, some characters still have behinds so small they look anatomically impossible: Tracer and Juno, for example. Tracer's "original" skin, in particular, is so small the model looks janky.

And so I ask, were they censored again at some point? Did they reduce character's curves to this hilariously small point recently or were they like this since OW2?

"Payment source is invalid" - Does Discord accept debit cards at all?

Trying to buy Nitro, but Discord won't accept any of my cards. It always says "payment source is invalid". The one thing they have in common is that they're all debit cards. Are credit cards mandatory or something?

PS: Found a fix. I was finally able to pay it by buying it as a Nitro Gift, then opening it myself.

[Raid] Team with Nari dealing more damage than with Ameris... what's the catch?

The recommendations for raid teams always suggest Chocolate Ameris instead of Nari. However, I cannot get the team to deal more damage with Ameris. It's always better with Nari instead, even though she has no LB, and her weapon has no LB either.

Also, while the recommendation is to have Knight as leader, it deals way more damage with Eunha as leader instead (and eunha deals way more % on skill)

[Suggestion] Enable exchange of Red Shards into Option Lock Stones once all 6* weapons are achieved

Once you upgrade all weapons to 6*, you kinda run out of things to do with red shards. Why not enable players to exchange them to other red stones: Option Lock Stones? Kinda like what happens when you got no use left for evolution stones.

Are the newer OpenWRT versions for the Edgerouter still having issues?

I'm on OpenWRT 23 and been holding on to this version as I've heard the newer ones have issues. But that was a year or more ago. Are they good to go now?

Garbage chat censorship - You can't say "erina"

I've already made a post before in here about just how bad the chat censorship is and how it is an issue that traces back to the very launch of the game. But every day I learn of new words that I can't type, this time it's the name of one of the new good heroes to use: Erina.

The review display system is still bad and getting worse for some reason

I was urged to write this as one of my reviews managed to be THE MOST voted helpful on a game's page (by many dozen votes of difference) and yet is completely unreachable through the "most helpful" filter (or any other filter, unless I filter specifically for the day it was posted).

In fact, when you try to look for reviews in the game or really in any other game, the displayed reviews are largely POINTLESS. Why? Because Steam, for some reason, thinks that two-liner positive reviews written in the past week are more important than all of the relevant reviews with many likes and helpful votes.

At this point you start to wonder if it's even worth it to be descriptive and conscious of what you write (and if it's worth writing anything at all). Not only that, you start to wonder if it's even worth it to bother reading the reviews at all since you can't find the most helpful ones. Every time you open a game you can only find the mindless positive reviews that add nothing. None of them have helpful votes.

I just don't understand why is it this bad. It wasn't like this at all a few years ago.

S23 *does* have an official way to unlock the bootloader: you need to flash an old stock Android version

In the S23's page, it says "An official method of unlocking the bootloader is not available, but there may be some unofficial methods available".

Well, there is in fact an official method using stock OneUI. You just need to flash an older version of it, such as OneUi 7.0 / Android 15. In newer OneUI versions, Samsung blocked OEM unlock for some reason.

The official peergos subreddit doesn't allow posts from non-mods so I decided to post it here.

I wasn't able to find almost any peergos reviews around despite it being on privacyguides and being a supposedly really good service.

I'll be very straightforward as to why I don't recommend it:

1 - There is no actual desktop application (turns out it is simply a webpage that opens on your default browser just like... the actual website)

2 - Having no desktop application, there's no way to upload/download in the background, while in system tray, as a process, etcetera

3 - No time estimate for uploads, which take weirdly long amount of time

4 - Since there's no desktop program, you can only drag and drop (so no way to select folders, a drive, etc)

Furthermore, it actually uses backblaze for the storage (you can tell this by using uMatrix and seeing what URL's the site connects to).

Holy balls! I suggested this feature a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if this was done because of my suggestion but whichever the reason is, that's extremely good news.

A few more suggestion for improvements:

Create a whitelisting mode instead of a blacklisting one. For example, if I only want one country to be connected to, I could simply use 2 clicks (enable whitelist then select the country) instead of removing all but the one I want (like I just did now).

And an option to disable Smart Routing servers. The only thing they do to me is add more ping and make me be at the United States. For some reason my client will repeatedly disconnect from my server and connect to a Smart Routing one. even though the connection is poorer due to increased distance.
