I'm embarking on a photography project that documents the historical Beaux-Arts/Greek Revival/Neoclassical bank buildings scattered throughout NY's Capital Region (around Albany) and the broader upstate NY area. Nearly every downtown in the region has at least one of these... Pictured are a few examples from Hudson, Cohoes, Oneonta, etc. Is there currently one of these banks in your town? Maybe the town you grew up in? If you have a moment, please share locations/towns for me to check out and photograph. Thank you so much!

I want to print a single book of PDF scans from the Library of Congress... Help?

There's three full-color scanned PDFs at the Library of Congress of promotional brochures for Albany, NY from the early 1900s. I want to combine the three documents into a single PDF and then have them printed onto a single book for my own library. I don't want this published, I just want a single hardcover book for myself for easy reference.

I don't even know where to start... The full PDF should be about 150-200 pages long. There's a lot of finely-detailed illustrations. What paper weight should I use? 50lb? 70lb? Do you have a recommended printing house? What could I expect the cost to be?

Sorry for all of the questions! I'm not familiar with this process at all and could really use some hand holding.

Reputable shop to get a transmission fluid exchange?

My 2019 Toyota Corolla needs a complete transmission fluid exchange and the dealership is quoting nearly $700 😬 what are some local, reputable repair shops that would perform this service? Ideally for less than $700 please!

Is my outfit okay to go straight from work to Basement?

I want to see DJ T-1000 this Friday at Basement after my colleague showed me some of their songs at the office. I won't have time to go back to my apartment to change and don't want to lug around a duffel bag with an extra set of clothes. This is also my first time going out in NYC since moving here (but I've been to a few of the bars in Bethesda when I visit my parents).

I saw there's a dress code for Basement. Is my outfit okay to wear out? If I need to, I think I could get away with jeans at the office since it's a Friday.

Please... I know my signage could be better. How?

I'm building the downtown of Schenectady, NY in bedrock edition. I'm struggling to recreate the signage for an alley leading to the downtown area. This is my best shot at something similar, but maybe it could be better? I'm willing to forgo accuracy for aesthetics. Anyone have any ideas for alterations or blocks/materials that could make better looking signage?
