Sharing patterns

Sorry If this is like controversial or been posted before but I hate when people get all righteous about sharing paid patterns. Like if I’d loan a friend a book I’d loan a friend a pattern. It’s not stealing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Beau, I want to see your sat and pepper

This is not to be an ungrateful wench or anything and beau is a cute guy. I love an aging millennial man of beekeeping age but like the black hair dye is JARRING. Whenever I look at him I almost wince. I love a salt and pepper look on a man and at 45 he’s still lucky to have his hair, why dye it? How did anyone in his circle, stassi included not tell him that this is not his best look? I feel like it makes him look older by trying too hard to look young.

Did anyone else notice? It’s super distracting to me lol

What’s the deal with the format?

I just started love island uk yesterday and I love it but I’m confused by the format?? I’m like 4 episodes in so no spoilers please :)

It’s like 2 episodes of the show and then like a behind the scenes episode and then another episode and a watch party? Are they worth watching? Will I miss important stuff if I skip? I’m just concerned if there’s too much duplicative stuff I’ll lose interest.

I haven’t watched any of the love island series before so I’m confused if this is common or not.

To biopsy or not to biopsy?

Howdy yall, I (31f) saw my gyno again yesterday just to check up on some questions I had and after talking to her I concluded I’d like to have a biopsy done. She was ready to do it right then and there but I was like uhhh I gotta go back to work after this lol so the office was going to call me to schedule it.

After thinking about it the last evening I’m kind of wavering again if I want it. My thinking is that since I feel like I am still in the info gathering stage and feel like it would be best to know from the jump that it is actually LS. I was visually “diagnosed” in February and treating it as such since then.

My thoughts against getting it are that I am responsive to the clob and my dr confirmed I would be fine to use it every other day or every day if I needed to. She also rx-Ed me estradiol for some of the elasticity issues I’ve had. Additionally, I feel like I’ve had enough labial recession that I need all the lip I can get and I’m afraid of having like holes or dents in my labia. Also obviously it sounds incredibly painful and she said she’d want to do 2 areas.

What do we think folks? Is it worth it?

Fragrant, lasting body wash

Hope this is relevant to the sub!

For medical reasons I’ve had to switch to cetaphil bar soap as my body wash but I HATE the smell. To me it smells like mothballs.

Do you have any recs for an additional body wash I could use after the cetaphil that is super fragrant and long lasting and possibly cover up the scent of the cetaphil? My body wash prior to this was unscented so I’m starting from scratch.

ETA budget: like under $20 or $30 depending on size of bottle. Would be great if I could get it at like a target.

Love for the humble bagel

I remember in high school my sister telling me (as I was scarfing down a big ol bagel with shmear) that a bagel has as many calories as 6 slices of bread to basically shame me. Since then I never fact checked her and avoided bagels and would feel shameful any time I ate one.

Recently I started Adderall and my appetite has gone down so much that it’s hard for me to find foods that I WILL eat and decided that I’m eating so little I could eat a bagel whenever I wanted. My biggest dietary concerns are fiber and protein. I checked the nutrition label of a normal Thomas everything bagel and lo and behold a bagel is only 250 calories and has 4 g fiber and 9 G protein which is like honestly, not that bad. Certainly not as bad as I thought it would be. Add some whipped cream cheese and you have a 400 calorie lunch and it gets to feel indulgent bc it’s a bagel with cream cheese.

TLDR , if you want a bagel, eat a bagel.

WIP tracking

Does anyone have a way of tracking crafting/art works in progress? I feel like I have 10 million WIPs and haven’t thought of a good way to track them all in my bullet journal bc sometimes they’re really abstract or similar to each other? I feel like having them all listed might help me tackle them.

Round lunch

My fav lunch that I like to call “round lunch” for obvious reasons.

4 slices of turkey
2 slices of provolone
1 Chobani yogurt (strawberry) this time with protein fiber cereal

I eat this same thing basically every day sometimes I switch the turkey for ham. Sometimes I will have it with pepper jack cheese which is square, so not round lunch.

Experience with tacrolimus ointment?

After being diagnosed in February and having symptoms for years, if not my whole life, I made it to the every other day clob application phase.

I was diagnosed by my gyn but after some unclear instructions and an additional flare up, I ended up at my derm for help. The first appointment with her she was super clear about the 2x/day for 2 weeks and then every other day after that.

Had the two week follow up yesterday and it was kind of frustrating. the painful irritation and my labias had visibly improved but I told her I was still experiencing constant itching. She told me to go every other day with the clob and then added tacrolimus ointment for the non clob days.

I read up on it before I used it and it sounded promising but I used it (pea sized amount rubbed in on labias) it’s been like severe hot burning sensation. Has anyone had this experience or experience with tacrolimus?

Does anyone have issues with reaching out to cold call potential partners to set up meetings? I feel like I get asked this often and dread it because people just never respond.

What do you include in your email ask that makes people want to respond? How often do you follow up without looking desperate without wasting your time? When do you decide it is time to let your exec know they are not responding?

Thanks in advance for any insight

Hey yall. I was diagnosed this year and the flair ups have been pretty unpleasant… to say the least…

anyway not looking forward to pool season but I live in an area where it gets so hot the only way to be outside at all is in a body of water, plus it’s just fun.

Anyone have advice regarding bathing suit preferences, being in a wet suit for extended periods or effects of pool chemicals or sea water? Is it better to avoid all together or do you have a method of managing.

Thanks in advance <3

I read it this year on a whim and haven’t stopped thinking about it. I hated the brutal violence and gore but was also slightly like morbidly….. interested in it? Like watching a trainwreck or something as they say. but I genuinely loved the rest of the book.

After that I wanted to read another book like it and read the Wasp Factory which kept coming up and thought it was kinda meh aside from the twist at the end. Then I was recommended Maeve Fly which I’ve started as an audio book but feel kind of in different to it as well.

Hello, I’ve been posting in here as I’ve been researching what ereader to get now that my old ass kindle is being abandoned by Amazon and I have another question.

On my kindle, when I take out a library book on Libby, download it to my kindle and then put my kindle on airplane mode, I’m able to read it past the return date and to my knowledge it doesn’t affect the library’s ability to loan it out again. I’m a slow reader so 2 weeks isn’t enough time for me to finish a book and so this little cheat is basically non negotiable for me.

Does this work on kobo as well? That if you put it in airplane mode the book stays past the return date?
