The sheckle inflation is quietly improving?

With the introduction of more event-exclusive currencies like Choc Coins or Honey Coins, it makes the game feel more play-to-win than pay-to-win now, which is great. It also makes it that even if you have an unprecedented amount of sheckles, it can’t buy you much anymore besides basic seeds and gears, but event items are exclusive to their own currencies.

The Choc coins? Yeah they got inflated unfortunately.. but the Honey ones seem very good and are stable. The items in the event feel rewarding and more like everyone can get it, not just super rich players. You can’t just AFK with a garden of higher tier seeds for Honey coins, because you have to get pollinated crops to get honey coins and seeds. It forces you to engage. And with that, it makes that your sheckles buy you less now, and I think it’s great.

I hope GAG keeps doing this. It seems to be working, at least from my POV. When having multiple currencies, instead of just sheckles like throughout 2025.

HN geographic/time setting?

What’s the most accurate place to say HN or all HN games take place in the world? Here’s my take:

- prototype, pre alpha, alpha 1 (Midwest USA in the early 1960s—like rural California, maybe Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico?)
- alpha 3, 4, HN1 full game (a Russian looking town in the modern day)
- HN 2 (Raven Brooks—but looks somewhere in the Atlantic USA like Maine or NY state)
- HN3 (I don’t know)
- HNH&S (looks like in a suburb of a city in the central USA, and family appearance looks American and maybe set in the 1990s or 2000s)

Road width question

Is there a way to request or make a road’s width change? In some cities they have roads that match the road width scale shown in the images, while some are unnecessarily wide and overlap the curb or even the sidewalks

Anyone juggling online courses right now and worried they might not complete them in time before graduation?

I am doing great in school (finally) so I don’t have to worry about failing courses! However, Math 11, I’m still enrolled it in Sail (online school in Surrey) as an online course and it’s May 17th and I’m worried there’s a chance I may not complete it in time as it’s a grad requirement.

Anyone else sharing similar worries? Am I alright? The coursework is light but I am also mentally burned out in general from senior academics and the social stuff, especially with prom and commencement upcoming.

Bulge on bottom of MacBook

MacBook Pro Retina 13" (2014)

For the last few months, I have been bringing this laptop to school and back 5 days a week. I have a fairly heavy bag, and the laptop sits in it along with a large binder.

I have recently noticed that the laptop doesn’t sit properly, and wobbles, because there is a bulge on the bottom. If you look at the photo, you’ll notice an area where it’s been sitting and scratching against on a flat surface like a desk. It does not sit on its feet anymore.

I am wondering what this could be: a swollen battery, or the casing being warped from pressure?

If it is battery related, I can say that the battery is degraded, but this laptop is also 12 years old. It doesn’t overheat though, unless I run heavy applications or software.

Since that could be a fire hazard, I am seeking your advice and opinions here for my safety. As of right now I have shut it down and will not use it anymore until it can be fixed.

Teachers approaching students who are late to class?

18M here who’s just wrapping up 12th grade. After 13 years in the K–12 School system (5 in high), something has always stood out to me: teachers rarely discipline students for being late.

Out of around 30-ish teachers I’ve had in high school, only three ever treated lateness as a real issue:

• Mr. H, my history 12 teacher, who shut the door the second the bell rang and didn’t open it again for 15 minutes.
• Mr. M, my geography 11 teacher (who wore a suit, used VHS tapes, a chalkboard.. typical old school teacher) once told a group of 5 of us including myself one morning, “You’re young adults, Show up on time. This is ridiculous!” and “I want to see all of you after school!” (In a loud tone).
• Mr. D, my grade 10 English teacher, who didn’t like lateness but approached it more gently and tried to help students improve.

Maybe it is because they are male teachers and all of them were in their late 50s, and had taught at my school for a decade or two, or even more.

Though everyone else, nothing really at all. It’s as if nothing happened if you walked into late.

So I’m curious for teachers reading this, what’s your approach to late students? Do you think schools have become too relaxed about punctuality?

I think they aren’t teaching us for the real world, as in that setting, your future boss/employer will not tolerate you being late, for example. It sets kids up for failure later on.

Thanks 🙏

Populous town has no urban shading at all (black shading)

Town: Banff, Alberta 🇨🇦

This town has no development/building/neighbourhood shading (polygons) at all. The whole town appears in the default green shading that is used for areas not developed.

There is another notable town called Canmore to the east of it that has all types of shading, although Banff doesn’t, and both are populous areas.

Is this intended, or did Google just forget?

This little guy landed on my ankle just now in a bathroom here in Vancouver, Canada. I felt it because it was touching the hairs on my leg.

It appears to be moving its legs at a good speed but isn’t walking anywhere specifically.

Any ideas what this is?

I was wondering what the best options are at my age to compound money overtime rather than having it collect dust in a bank account.

I’m in Canada — specifically in BC and the age of majority is 19 so I cannot open a TFSA (yet). But I will be able to in the new year. (If you were gonna mention that.)

Don’t have much of a money background or any financial knowledge. Parents never really taught me and the school system obviously doesn’t teach it, at least not enough.

Thanks !!

Well, im 18 years old and i have around $4000 CAD in my bank account, but I am not really financially educated, since no one has taught me, and I have been in high school and focusing on that, and as you know the school system doesn’t teach about money.

I do not wanna be a dead-beat/slave at age 40 with little to no money. Is there any advice you have with what I can do with this right now? Like investment ideas?

I live with family, so I’m not using this for expenses yet. The money is collecting dust, as I’m not really spending any money right now to begin with. It comes from birthday and Christmas money mainly, from the span of the last decade, as well as chores and small jobs.

I’m in Canada, specifically in B.C. — the age of majority here is 19 so I cannot open a TFSA (yet) but I could as early as the new year.

Thank you guys!

I just realized hello neighbor has been out for almost 10 years, in September/October. I remember like yesterday I was watching Dantdm on Halloween night play the pre-alpha for the first time on YouTube. I was 8 years old then, but it still feels great to play the game again even at 18. It’s one of the few games/franchises that stuck with me this long

I remembered with my current Roblox account from 2018, between 2018 and 2022 I got a lot of bans and warnings, mainly from voice chat and text chat as I was irresponsible.

But now it’s 2026 and I’ve been almost 4 years clean, besides a small warning on a clothing I made back in 2019 that was noted as infringement in late 2024.

Am I in the clear?

In other words, when do these moderation actions stop having an impact on your account anymore?

I love the sound of these new mixes. I’m not sure why I am just discovering them. Steven Wilson did a very nice job on these. My favorite so far is “Take Me Home”!

But what happened to the metadata on this album?? On Apple Music it shows it’s from 2016, 6/10 tracks have a release date set as 1982-01-01, and another 9/10 tracks have zero lyrics attached to them. 🤔

Otherwise I like it. They should fix the metadata though because it’s inaccurate. Phil Collins is one of the greatest musicians ever!

I don’t know why but lately I cannot get myself to play Roblox. It’s been nearly a week. It feels like a chore to play the game now, I lowkey don’t know why. It used to be fun, like weeks ago.

I was wondering if there is a straightforward way to report incorrect/incomplete metadata for songs from another artist on Apple Music, as a listener.
The in-app reporting tool, having used it for years, has never worked or fixed anything besides rarely fixing lyrics, otherwise it rarely works or is useful.
For example, one of my favorite bands Aerosmith remastered their self-titled album recently but all the dates are displayed as 2026-03-20 rather than 1973-01-06.

Thank you

The core competency self-assessments are a requirement to graduate. Your teachers will likely forget to mention it to you, or your school will alert you but only one in their agenda app that most people don’t use, or have its notifications turned off.

There’s 3 of them you have to do per school year for each core competency. Contact your principal or vice principal if you think you haven’t done them yet, because these assessments will sneak up on you and you will forget about them and won’t graduate.

Thanks. Good luck fellow grads

I woke up this morning after AFK with a T-Rex & 15 second mimic for around 10 hrs and now my computer is running the game at literally 0.25 FPS (1 frame every 4 seconds)…. Surprisingly I didn’t disconnect but yeah it not worth it. It’s probably my garden because each fruit has like 20+ mutations on it now.

Im a senior who’s gonna graduate in June! Im excited but im not satisfied with my transcript (or what it’ll look like after June). I feel like I flunked a lot of important courses between Gr 10-12 just due to me being a lazy and scrony kid who wasn’t mature enough to do his work and also I had too much mentally to deal with as most teenagers do at that time.

One notable example was Geo 12, I got a 58, because I had depression, a breakup, family divorce, and trouble fitting in, as well as low iron in my blood (which made me very slow and tired), but I know I’m very skilled in that field and was definitely capable of a B+ at the least. This was last year in the spring. I feel I could’ve scored an 86 (A) or higher solid if there’d been none of that noise in the background you know. 58 does not reflect my skill for instance.

I’m considering taking several online courses next year as like a “grade 13” thing. In Surrey where I live, we have something called SAIL academy which is integrated with the school district, so you can do online courses of many types. I also haven’t committed to any post secondary schools yet, but I have a rough idea of a career I’d wanna go into, either electrician, GIS (geographic info systems) or maybe marine biology, though I’m still uncertain.

Has anyone here thought of “grade 13” and if it’s a good idea for someone like me who’s a senior but still feels like he could improve his transcript? It feels like June 2026 is the deadline to lock in but I think I could complete some courses by the new year, at the earliest, or before summer of next year.

Thanks. Also good luck to fellow graduates, let’s lock in for the remainder of the year.

I’m wondering if there is a formal way (or any way) to report faulty road tiles under the ‘Default’ view on Google Maps, not the satellite imagery.

For example, I noticed a road drawing (it is straight and perfectly aligned with the imagery) today, but under the Default view, the overlaying road tiles on top of it (that show crosswalks, lane markers, etc.) are shifted too high up, or too far to one side, after the road was recently re-aligned.

I did this for a road at an airport that was drawn on the sidewalk, rather than the actual street it was on, but not the road tiles look like they’re on the north half of the road.
