Will the Seeed nRF52840/SX1262 automatically turn on when it receives power?

Will the Seeed nRF52840/SX1262 automatically turn on when it receives power?

I'm building a solar repeater and am planning to use the aforementioned kit, but I wanted to make sure that if the node dies and then recharges that it will automatically turn back on without needing to be manually activated.

Also, is there a way to check this information somewhere so I don't have to ask the Internet in the future?

It's being used with this charge controller

If this will not automatically turn back on, can someone suggest a setup that will? I'd like to keep it under $20 as I'm planning to build quite a few of these, but I'll take whatever is necessary to make it work.

Do repeaters automatically turn back on when they get power again?

I'm building a DIY solar repeater and am wondering if the battery was to die and then be recharged by the solar, would the repeater automatically turn back on and start functioning again?

Most space efficient modular engine cooling system

What is the most space efficient cooling system for a modular engine in a boat?

I see all kinds of guides, but never know if they are for the current version of stormworks physics or some earlier version.

It's a real bummer that they nerfed seawater. Now I just run as many radiators as I can fit, but it looks stupid and is completely unrealistic. Is there a better way?

Finding places to put a repeater?

I live in an area with no other users, but I've got a few buddies who want to get started and we are willing to invest in a couple repeaters. We would like to put them in optimal locations, but we do not own any optimal locations.

For those who have installed repeaters on property you do not own, what is the best way to go about getting permission? Are there certain types of property or owners that are the easiest to get authorization from? Is there a certain type of pitch that has a better than average success rate?

Build or Buy?

I'm looking into getting an ebike/emoto/e-dirtbike/whatever you want to call it tailored for longer rides. I don't need a ton of power. 40mph is about as fast as I care to go. I'm trying to optimize my range and payload. Id love to be able to cover about 100 mi carrying about 350lb of rider and cargo.

I plan on building my own battery to achieve this range so that isn't an issue. So what I'm looking for is a frame, with or without a motor and controller already on it, that can handle 350lb of payload and if it does have an included motor and controller, has a generic plug that can accept a nonstandard battery. And while I know it's going to require a substantial frame to handle that much weight, I'd like to keep the weight as low as is realistic for the requirements. I'd like loading it into a truck to be as easy as possible. I don't really care one way or another if it has pedals, but it should have a seat that is okay for a few hours of riding.

I know my way around electrical systems, analog bicycles, and dirt bikes so I'm not afraid to do some modifications or even a custom build with a purchased frame. I just am not familiar with the ebike market and do not know what specific parts or complete bikes are available that could accomplish this. So my question is, is there an off the shelf bike that can do this or do I need to build, and if so, can someone recommend a frame?

And before anyone goes there, yes this bike will be used in a legal manner. That's not what this post is about.

Post data from Google Sheet to Discord channel

I have a google sheet that handles inventory information for my organization and Id like to be able to print a copy of that inventory to our discord channel on a regular basis.

Currently the spreadsheet is just linked inside the server and it works, but having it show up in the channel itself is a simpler and cleaner way to do it.

Is there a bot that can access a Google Sheet and copy data into a discord post whenever it is commanded to?

Is there a way to determine how likely I am to pass the FS based on the results of my practice tests?

I got 78% of the NCEES practice test correct on my first try referencing only the NCEES FS Handbook. And on 2 of the questions I knew the process but just made a careless mistake.

And I got 88% on this one (using only the same reference book), although I have no idea how useful it actually is:

I also was able to borrow a copy of the PPI FS Practice Exam book, but have not done any of them yet.

Based on the results of my tests, is there a way to come up with a rough estimate of my probability to pass? And if these tests cannot be used to determine that estimate, is there another one that can be?

What is the clutch equation?

Im trying to figure out the clutch (the regular clutch not the modular engine clutch).

How is the output RPS calculated based on input RPS and clutch input number? From what I have seen its definitely not as simple as inputRPS*number=outputRPS like I originally thought.

If it makes a difference Im trying to control the speed of 2 outputs separately from the same engine using 2 clutches.

I have 2x16GB of DDR4. Do I build a PC around it or go with more modern components?

I am planning a PC build. It will mostly serve as a living room entertainment system (steam games and streaming/Blu-ray) but also needs to be able to perform general personal computing tasks on occasion, including running a standard web browser that can support a proper ad blocker as we watch a lot of YouTube, but it's becoming unusable with the amount of youtube ads that we get on the PS4 that is currently serving this purpose.

My wife has an aging laptop that struggles with some of her steam library that she doesn't use much otherwise so we were thinking about rather than upgrading the laptop, just building a PC for the living room. The laptop can still perform tasks that actually need to be portable. It just struggles with the games, and she prefers to sit on the couch and play games on the TV console style anyway.

So anyway that's my use case. Now for my assets, I have 2 sticks of 16GB 3000mhz DDR4 RAM that I bought for another build a few years ago but were not compatible. I also have up to $1000 I'm okay with spending, but I wouldnt be bothered about not spending all of it.

The question is, how much performance am I sacrificing by building a PC around my old RAM instead of buying new DDR5, and is it worth the money I would save?

I've built PCs before, but am definitely not an expert so feel free to tell me I'm an idiot if I'm being one.

The other option is to just get a steam box and be done with it, but I don't know if it has a web browser with adblock, and that's a deal breaker if it doesn't. I'm also hoping to be able to build a better machine than a steam box, but how feasible that is remains to be seen.

4 wheel "bicycle"

Has anyone ever made or converted a bicycle to have 4 wheels? Basically the general format of a 4 wheeler but with a typical bicycle drivetrain. A tricycle conversion for the rear end would work, but is there a way to do the front end?

I can't think of a practical use for it, but it sounds cool. I'm sure it would be a bear to pedal, but I used to own a Rhodes Car so I'm not too worried.

I am on a volunteer county team in the US mountain west. We are considering implementing meshtastic. For those who have experience with it, would it be worth the investment for our needs? Our specific systems, environment, and needs are as follows:

Our first level of communication is county issued encrypted digital radios and our second level is personal cell phones. Meshtastic would be a third level last resort communication for when radios aren't reliable and there is no cell service. County radios are not always reliable in the remote areas we sometimes end up in and cell phones are even less reliable.

We also use caltopo and use our personal cell phones for the location tracking. Meshtastic would be a second level solution for tracking as well and be the only solution when there is no cell service. I believe the county radios also submit an APRS packet with GPS coordinates with each transmission, but I have had little luck getting with anyone from the county who knows how to extract that data for our use, and even if we did get it, radio transmissions are not frequent enough to have adequate data to build a good route.

Our county is roughly 95% rolling sage plains and 5% mountain foothills. There aren't a lot of large obstructions. It's just freaking huge. We also have a large lake in the middle of the county.

A well placed portable repeater would remedy our radio problems, but getting one from the county has not been fruitful. I don't think they have any portable repeaters and if they do they aren't giving us one. But I believe a simple meshtastic repeater station or two would make meshtastic reliable for us in most conditions. Also it would be nice to just be able to manage our own system and not have to ask the county and wait 7 business years to get anything done.

And finally, is the ability to type on the device worth paying for? It looks possible to save like 30-50% per device if it doesn't include a keyboard.

And do yall have suggestions for specific ready to use devices that are durable and perform well? It needs a GPS receiver with the ability to automatically send a GPS position at regular intervals. We would probably be looking for 15-20 devices.

The 5x10 trailer frame and all its accessories are on clearance. I have a project planned in the future that was going to use that frame. Do I need to buy one now if I want one or could it just be a temporary sale and would that product still be available in the future?
