How to create the iOS 26 like borders?

iOS 26 borders with rounded corners look different than what we used to have before. It looks like the top left and bottom right corners have whiter border and the top right and bottom left corner have almost transparent border.

Anyone know how to add these types of borders to views?

Apple should really give the $100 free credit for Search Ads each year when membership is renewed

Imo, Apple should really give the $100 free credit for Search Ads each year when membership is renewed. Currently, they only give it to brand new developer. So it's a once a lifetime thing only.

App Store is now full of ads being run by big companies and even the search results have started showing 2 full page ads instead of 1 causing search results to be pushed down even more. Small developers are suffering.

For memorizing my studies, I made a flashcards app with a swipe to rate UI inspired by dating apps. It prevents me from forgetting my study material. Introducing Minder. Tap to flip and swipe to rate as Easy, Again or Hard. [supported on iOS, iPad, and Mac]

For improving my learning speed and not forgetting my study material, I built Minder (no ads, no subscriptions, only a single IAP for lifetime access on iOS, iPad, and Mac):

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/minder-flashcards-exam-study/id6775268676

It's a flashcards app with a swipe to rate UI inspired by dating apps. You create the front and back of flashcards using markdown. When practicing, my app uses an advanced spaced repetition and smart active recall algorithm to ensure that you review flashcards right before you may forget them. After reviewing a flashcard, you tap it to reveal the answer on the back of the card. You swipe right if you easily remembered it, left if you forgot it, or down if it took some effort and would like to review again. Minder's algorithm will show you harder cards first and more often to help you really optimize your memory and prevent you from forgetting your study materials.

Here's how to use Minder in your studies:

  • Create flashcards by either manually typing the Front and Back of the card or importing multiple cards in a long text (Front & Back separated by 3 hyphens --- and each card separated by 3 equal signs ===).

The Front can have your question and the Back can have the answer.

The Front & Back text supports Markdown and also LaTeX for Math formulas. So you can format text such as bold, italics, color, highlight, headings, links, images etc. You can also include diagrams (photos) in it.

To use coloured text, use curly bracket format: {red}coloured text{} or {#FF0000}coloured text{}

To highlight text, use square bracket format: [red]highlighted text[] or [#FF0000]highlighted text[]

  • Organize your flashcards into decks and folders for each subject as needed. Cards can belong to multiple decks at the same time. Decks and folders can also have subdecks and subfolders.

  • Practice decks or just bookmarked cards.

  • After reviewing the question on the front of the card, tap the card to flip it and reveal the answer on the back. Swipe RIGHT if the card was easy, LEFT if it you forgot it, or DOWN if you remembered but took some effort and would like to review again.

  • Once the whole deck is practiced, Minder tells you how long you took to practice, and how many cards were hard.

  • Once you have reviewed a deck, you can instantly practice again with just a single tap.

  • Minder notifies you if there's some card which you are constantly failing as it might be poorly designed. You can edit it to improve it. Make sure to swipe and reset its practice history after such fixes.

  • Swipe/Right Click on Mac to Bookmark important cards, decks, and folders for easy access.

  • Swipe/Right Click on Mac to Archive cards, decks, and folders which you no longer need.

  • All your decks, folders, and flashcards are seamlessly auto-synced across all your devices using iCloud. So you can create them on iPad/Mac and access them on iPhone.

  • No Ads. No subscriptions.

  • Minder is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Supported keyboard shortcuts on Mac:

  • Enter or Spacebar to flip card

  • Left, Down and Right arrow keys for Hard, Again, and Easy ratings

  • Command + Z to undo a rating and go back to previous card

  • When editing a card, right click text to add photo

I am a small indie developer. Trial version of Minder is limited to 15 flashcards. A one-time only purchase lets you create unlimited flashcards forever. No subscriptions. This one-time only purchase gives you lifetime access to all features. It also supports this project and helps me continue to develop it. Thank you for your support.

Is App Store Connect website broken currently?

Is App Store Connect website broken currently?

I login from my Mac, it logs in successfully. Then it shows a spinner, then an error message pops up, but my apps still load fine. When I click on an app, it shows details for a second and then loops back to the login screen. I have tried a few times and this keeps happening and I am unable to proceed.

This was working fine last night.

EDIT: Sometimes after login, the spinner just keeps loading forever.

EDIT 2: Sometimes it works now, sometimes it doesn't. Now I get error when I "Add for review".

Is Apple's reviews for new app submissions taking forever?

Long time ago (like a decade ago), Apple used to take weeks to sometimes a whole month to review an app. Then they improved the process to just taking a few hours to sometimes a day max to review apps.

However, now, it seems to be taking forever again? I submitted a new app a week ago and it's still waiting for review.

Note that at the same time, this week, 2 updates to my other existing app was reviewed and approved within 4-6 hours.

Are others facing the same issue too for new apps recently?

Apple now showing multiple ads on top of search results with actual results being pushed down even more

Many of us are indie developers with not enough revenue to spend on App Store ads. Recently, Apple has now started showing multiple full sized ads on top search results instead of just a single one.

Before, they used to only show 1 ad at top. Now, it shows an ad, then 1 search result, then another ad, then rest of results. So actual search results are pushed much further down. Also, these ads are full sizes (needing a whole screen scroll down).

What do you all think of this move?

I have 2 bathroom sinks on same level and both are clogged. My drain auger keeps going across to the other sink instead of down the drain. What to do to make it go down instead of across?
