Selling

What is the best place to sell steins? Apart from eBay and FB Marketplace? Anyone ever try selling them at local Oktoberfest festivals?

Thoughts on the book

I read Gods and Fighting Men book by Lady Gregory. I thought it was great. Internet says it’s a classic book, but I wonder what are people’s take on it? Anything I should be aware of about it? Reputation? Etc. Because this was more or less my first real introduction to Irish folklore.

Age of piracy- what caused the end?

Been playing assassins creed black flag recently (not historically accurate I know) but it got me thinking, what actually ended the age of piracy?

And the pirates who made money, were they able to just blend back into society back in England, France, Spain etc or did they have to remain in the Caribbean?

Might be a silly question, but is there any books about how the pirates coped with day to day life? I’ve been to the Caribbean and it’s hot and humid, could not imagine having to raid on top of that heat lol.

Black Sam Bellamy and Black Sails

Wish Black Sails at least made a reference to Black Sam Bellamy.

Even a passing remark from one of the characters would have satisfied me, or a passing brief shot like how they had one of Mary Read.

Mind you, Bellamy served under Hornigold with Blackbeard before going on his own way. They could have at least said something about him and no doubt Flint would have known him.

Did pirates in the 1700s really command huge vessels with lots of cannons that could stand up to proper navy battleships, or is that mainly a romantication of them and they had smaller ships?
