Eclectic pagan here who works with an unnamed deity.

Been looking for different jobs. Fingers crossed I get an interview. I’m grateful for working but my work environment has gotten much more hard to bear. Idk if I mentioned how at my job the rules are no politics and no religion however, no one follows that rule and will push their politics and/or religion onto me and it makes me extremely uncomfortable.

My boss will ask me “You pray to Jesus right? You thank God right?” And will stare at me waiting for my answer. Being here is driving me insane. I hope I find something soon. I almost walked out yesterday but I thought of my monthly payments and a Halloween trip I have coming up. It’s been so hard. I really don’t want to be here anymore you guys.

How would you handle this situation? (Of course look for a different job, that’s a given) I more so mean how would you respond when this happens? At the moment I’ve just been silent. I’m outnumbered.

So I’ve never been to the Lyndhurst mansion. Apparently there’s a tour on Halloween. If I were to go, I’d be traveling from out of state. For all of those that went, how was your experience? Is it something you’d like to do again?

Just what the title says. I’m loving it! Since I finished the show I thought I’d watch the first 200 episodes to see what it was like before it became supernatural. It’s so atmospheric and somehow even more eerie if that makes sense. Not sure how it feels creepier without the supernatural element. I’m so glad I decided to watch. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t like it by how much I enjoyed the show when it became supernatural, but it’s absolute gold. 🤩

From what I’ve read I know this isn’t many people’s favorites but the Judah Zachary Storyline is honestly one of the best in the show in my opinion. As I’m nearing the end I’m finding that my favorite storylines have been in this part of the series. I loved Quentin and Daphne’s romance. Out of all of Quentin’s relationships (so far) this one has felt the most authentic.

Then we have the scene where Barnabus finally confesses his love for Angelique but then she gets killed. It was so tragic but such a powerful scene. I know this storyline is a fan favorite but I love it so much.

I went to one not too far from my house for the first time and as soon as I stepped on the property I wanted to cry tears of joy. The people (customers as well) were extremely friendly, welcomed me in, had the biggest brightest smiles, etc. It was one of the first times in my 31 years of living that I felt like I had come home. Another time I felt that way was when I participated in an online gathering. I know it’s just a store but it felt so healing.

I’m from Chicago, but recently moved to the Southern U.S. for personal reasons. I live in a part of the country where being pagan or anything that even remotely sticks out in their eyes is frowned upon. Being around other pagans was probably the best feeling I’ve ever felt in my life. My goal now is to go to gatherings (I’ll have to drive to the city, but it’s worth it) and find community.

I’m not usually a crier, but when I’m surrounded by other pagans, it makes me want to cry tears of joy. It feels like something much deeper than “Yaaay you’ve found your people.” I can’t describe it, but it’s powerful.

Just finished volume 1 of Bloodlust and am loving the Maggie having followers storyline. Would have love to see this as well as the previous audio dramas in the show if it had have went on longer.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Probably not something said often, but I’m really enjoying the 1970 PT storyline. The story with Cyrus and Maggie, Angelique pretending to be her twin sister, Angelique controlling Maggie, etc. I wish the show could have made Maggie become stronger and become a powerful witch and be the one to face off against Angelique in the end. It makes sense to me because she’s had a part in taking away or harming the people closest to her as well as hurting her. Yes, I know Angelique is obsessed with Barbabus and it’s Angelique vs Barnabus but this woman has been trying to destroy Maggie and people that remind her of her because of her centuries long hate for Josette.

I listen to the audio dramas as well (which I know is skipping ahead) and it only reaffirms the idea of it being Maggie vs Angelique at the core.

So I’ve been into Dark Shadows for over a month now (New to the fandom) and found that my favorite character is Maggie. Kathryn Leigh Scott has a powerful onscreen presence in my opinion. Was curious about what your favorite Maggie/Josette/Kitty or any other character Kathryn has played in the show (I’m still watching it and haven’t finished) scenes were?
