Loving the Maggie portrait

On episode 1014 of Dark Shadows and so glad they have a portrait that’s more accurate to how she actually looks.

Favorite Maggie/Josette scenes in Dark Shadows?

So I’ve been into Dark Shadows for over a month now (New to the fandom) and found that my favorite character is Maggie. Kathryn Leigh Scott has a powerful onscreen presence in my opinion. Was curious about what your favorite Maggie/Josette/Kitty or any other character Kathryn has played in the show (I’m still watching it and haven’t finished) scenes were?

This scene destroyed me

I’m not even a fan of Joe, but even I felt bad for him in this moment. Being under Angelique’s spell and fighting to stay in control of yourself is so difficult. The look of longing they both gave each other broke my heart even as someone who doesn’t particularly care for them as a pairing. One of the most memorable moments in the series for me.

Willie and Maggie’s onscreen chemistry is amazing

By that I mean, when these two interact they really know how to capture my attention. This scene is so unsettling. Especially during this scene in particular when Willie was talking about the night he came to her balcony. I was leaning toward the television. Maggie’s anxiousness and Willie’s unpredictability makes this scene absolutely brilliant.

Night of Dark Shadows (1971)

I actually enjoyed this movie quite a lot. It took its time but I didn’t mind at all. The final act was absolutely bonkers and so much fun to watch. There were multiple moments where I thought the movie was about to end and that wasn’t the case at all. What a ride!

Was in the mood to rewatch Psycho (1960) today

Anthony Perkins did such a great job with this role. He sure knows how to hold your attention while he’s on screen. That’s why he’ll always be one of my favorite actors.

Every time I rewatch this I remember that Norman and Lilah don’t interact in this movie even when they’re in the same room making direct eye contact. Always thought that was interesting.

Finding community

I’m so happy. This is going to be a positive post. I’m eclectic pagan and decided to reconnect with a friend I haven’t seen in 12 years. It felt so surreal seeing each other again.

Turns out, she practices witchcraft (didn’t get the chance to ask which deities (or if she works with any at all) she works with because the movie started and we were in a theater), but I was so happy.

I currently live in an area where that isn’t common at all. It gets lonely and lots of people in this area think it’s evil. It was just nice finding someone else that practiced. Do you guys ever get a warm happy feeling when you meet other pagans or even see them in public? I could be alone here, but it just feels good.

Rewatching Twister (1996)

Used to watch this movie as a kid all of the time. It’s so quotable. The dialogue is a lot of fun if that makes sense 😆

Books with a similar plot to the new movie “Obsession”

Looking for books with a similar plot about someone wishing for their crush to fall in love with them but they become obsessive and it all goes wrong.
