Just venting:

Just ran my first 10k.

5 miles in I began to feel nauseous. This morning I had milk and Cheerios, a Celsius, and sipped half a bottle of water. And I stopped at 3 or 4 of the hydration stands throughout the run. Last night at 7pm I had a rice and grilled chicken and beef bowl with broccoli.

After the finish line, I tried to hold my throw up in but couldn’t. I puked in the grass and then as I ran to the bathroom I threw up on the inside waiting area’s carpet.

The janitor walked past me, and groaned ‘oh my god…’ and seemed peeved which I get.

Now I’m trying to wash throw up off my shirt, and I’ll probably skip getting my finisher’s medal and do the walk of shame back.

I have no idea why it happened today. I’ve done a 5k in January, February, March, April, and May. A 5 mile race in May. And last 2 weeks I did a 3-mile, 5-mile, 4-mile, and 4.5-mile jog. I feel really bad about the janitor and selfishly feel bad that I probably have to opt out of grabbing my finisher medal. And the walk of shame as multiple people saw me smh a

Ngl, he’s been acting really smarmy on social media for a long time now, I think it was inevitable. He’s a good critic in a vacuum but mixed with his social media presence, I’m not surprised people are coming out of the woodworks to express their dislike of him.

(If you missed it, he took a random shot at Halsey, saying his review of her album was more impactful than the album itself. She took shots back, and now there’s viral post after viral post saying he lacks the empathy and civility to be a music critic as he’s too immature and ignorant.)

Nate’s struggles with his sexuality is the most prominent one I can think of.

I don’t think Kat or Gia leaving the show counts. Kat’s arc also can be seen as having wrapped in s2… she didn’t want a stable relationship with that dorky but sweet guy, and goes back to camming. It’s probably not where the initials wanted to leave her off, but it sorta works.

I feel like there’s way way more but I’m blanking

I’m a revert to Islam. I had left many years ago but am striving to get back on my deen.

I’m mapping out my work and after work schedule to ensure I can pray 5 times a day.

I’ve unfortunately forgotten many of the surahs I once knew.

I was thinking of, as I learn more surahs again and re read the Quran, in the meantime I could put on my TV, an actual recording of the corresponding prayer. And then maybe when I pray at work in the break room, I can put the audio on softly to follow along? I wouldn’t be watching the tv or recording, I’d just be listening along to the Surahs as the man in the video prays aloud.

Of course eventually I want to get to the point I don’t need these aids.

That way I can listen along, as if I’m praying next to someone.

I don’t own a car (I live in the city and walk/take transit to most places) and I’m paranoid to walk to the mosque and back at dark hours as a few months ago my friend was robbed at gunpoint fairly close to where we live when he was walking back after sunset. So I feel a little hesitant after work to go pray with others in the mosque when I’d be returning back alone. But iA I can in the coming weeks block my work calendar to go to Jummah on fridays.

No disrespect to Cole

But Drake vs Kanye vs Kendrick is a much more fascinating debate than Drake vs Kendrick vs Cole.

While yeah, Kanye’s older and has been in the game longer, but the Big 3 convo started in the 2010s which is when all 3 were at top performance.

And while Cole is great and many people’s faves, I don’t think anyone reasonably ever saw him as the GOAT, whereas you can make a much stronger GOAT argument for Drake, Prime Kanye, and Kendrick

* and obviously I’m talking about Kanye pre his disgusting neo Nazi idolization…

Maybe it’s just another testament to how great of an actor she is, but for a brief second i thought there was something off about her face in that scene

I was thinking about this recently and anyone who collabs with Drake, will feel internal pressure to never collab with anyone Kendrick affiliated

And vice versa

I think that’s really unfortunate for rap.

With Pusha T, we’ve seen him and Drake share collaborators, like Cudi (not an up and comer but still) was on CLB and It’s Almost Dry.

But there’s no way, and IMO rightly so, drakes going to want to collab with anyone who would wanna work with a peer who tried to call him a pedo.

Given how the beef came and went and the status quo is back to normal as far as each rapper’s streams, fan bases still intact, and place in the industry, part of me wonders why these guys felt the need to take the beef to such nasty and dark places. Even jay z took a step back and asked if all of this was necessary

I graduated with my Masters from the engineering ceremony last week but no pics yet. But someone told me the day of that online the company promises within 2 days

In their iceman review, both the guys say it’s weird how Drake at various points say losing the beef stung, while also saying things like he lost no sleep over it and was unphased

I’m pretty sure drakes saying that the song NLU or MTG didn’t bother him (NLU definitely did but I’m fine with him not admitting it.) but it was the friends and collaborators who supported NLU that hurt him.

I thought that was pretty clear my first listen to the album that’s what Drake was getting at. Though thought it was interesting Ant and Lu seemingly didn’t see it that way and chalked that up as a flaw of the album

Anyone else find the ceremony to feel daunting? I know there’s going to be staff that line you up and motion you where to go, but something about the whole ordeal just makes me feel so anxious lol

I am unfortunately not going on launch, as I’ll be out of town that day.

But I’m curious about the planned turn out.

I write for fun on Medium so I might write about this collab and would like to tie it in to Illinois specifically.
