I'm a software developer, 26 years experience. In the past if i needed work I'd have a few offers in two weeks.. after four months I've had two interviews, one said I'm too old and one ghosted me. I've stopped looking, I'm telling agencies to take me off their books.

So I'm deeply monogamous and my ex pushed me into an open marriage.. but every time i talked to a woman she got angry. I never had sex outside my marriage because i didn't want it but i met women and got to know them because i was lonely.. when i found my new wife i told her I'm never interested in sex with anyone who isn't her. It's been great

Anyone else forced to be poly by a shitty partner? I hate it and think it's narcissistic. The idea i have one partner for sex, one for sci fi and one for dinner dates implies i date for me and never think about making someone else's life better.

I saw a meme that said every one nation voter is rich or stupid. Check your bank balance to see which one you are. But surely some people are rich AND stupid?

So a friend posted about lgbtiq friendly kids books and was swamped with angry sex creeps..i did a polite reply, explained the books aren't overtly sexual, that every class has trans kids, and it's about education and kindness..30 day ban for harassment.. got someone literally tell me at length if he met me i would be spitting out teeth and he wanted to see my blood.. reported, Facebook said it was fine. They aren't hiding the bias anymore

I'm a software developer. 150k is the bare minimum I've expected to be paid, for years. I quit to care for my dying dad and am trying to look again.. in the past i would have four offers in 2 weeks. Did i mention I've used the tech i use since it was created? No one has more experience than me.

So if one nation wins, who is preparing to hide Muslims and trans kids in their basement? What's being done to create anti fascist groups now so we know we have a safe space to resist from? I've seen people say they are enough of the things she hates that they expect to go down fighting but we need groups to be effective, we need to be organised to make a difference.

i noticed the job description said the location was seville, Brisbane, Australia.. I'm in Victoria.. but it seemed to be a fully remote role out of the USA, paying an average salary

got a list of requirements.. I'm perfect for it. i go through listing my experience, trying to use the words they used. i get this reply

sigh. so it's a scam to get me to pay someone $250 to reword my application, which will go nowhere.

it gets better. the person I'm supposed to give money is the person who sent me his way in the first place.. very low effort scam.. he replied several times, his agenda was obviously to get me to pay for a service

Tldr; someone on linked in told me they knew about a job, it a a scam trying to get me to pay a resume rewriting service

I posted the other day that I'd applied for carer payment and it seemed possible my dad would die before it was approved. Thanks to everyone who offered advice, I called, they were very nice, turns out they wanted extra details and I didn't know, so I provided that and three days later I'm approved.. which means I don't have to worry about the power bill and can focus on caring for my dad
