Who else can you identify? You won’t know everyone, since some are personal friends. My family are hanging out smack dab in the middle. This was two days of working pretty consistently, and I am pretty tickled with it. It seems like the general response has kind of been indifference from everyone else, but that doesn’t make me any less proud of this page! Anyway, who or what do you see?
A hand drawn handwritten love letter to the era that this app is imitating. Up the Punx #1 chronicles a 15-year-olds first experience going to punk shows, becoming involved in the scene, and starting to run and promote his own shows.
It’s about DIY community organization, and the time when most show shows had metal band, an emo band, a street punk band, a pop punk band… It didn’t really matter, it all fell under one banner, and we all supported each other.

So almost a year ago I posted some panels from this project I was working on. The response on here was so encouraging. Stuff got shared hundreds of times, and I kept getting asked if I would be turning it into a physical release.
I finally got far enough in that I released my first issue. It’s a very small print run (only 50 copies ), and nearly half sold to friends (and a few amazing small comic shops). Just wanted to mention that physical copies exist now though ! You can find my site thru my info on here, or message me if you’re struggling to find it!
Anyway, thanks again for being an awesome and encouraging community, and reminding me constantly why punk is my true religion.
