Fernando Alonso teased at a possible return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, saying the prospect would be even more appealing if he could share a car with Max Verstappen.
Alonso said endurance racing and the pursuit of new challenges beyond Formula 1 continue to interest him.
After several podiums with James Hunt and Hesketh Racing in 1973–74, a Grand Prix victory remained elusive as Ferrari dominated the 1975 season through Niki Lauda. Starting third at the 1975 Dutch Grand Prix, Hunt finally had the pace to challenge at the front in difficult wet conditions.
Hunt made a bold early switch to slick tyres, a gamble that propelled him into the lead by lap 15. As the track dried, Lauda’s faster Ferrari mounted constant pressure, but Hunt held his nerve to secure his maiden Formula One victory and Hesketh Racing’s only Grand Prix win.
