Kobalt 48v Max mower back in stock at my Lowes store

The 48v max line was taken off the shelves months ago because of faulty usb-c charging. I’ve been waiting for a restock because I really want to upgrade my 24v lineup to the 48v max.

My store had the mowers back in stock, but still no sign of the trimmer or blower. Anyone see any movement on this product line at your store?

Advice for fine tuning my home network

I’ve started to get really into my home networking, consider myself a novice who is comfortable navigating the router and adjusting settings if I have directions to follow. I just ran Ethernet to my home office from my main router on the other side of the house and set up a wired backhaul. My main router is an Asus BE86U and my node is an Asus AX86U pro. My signal has vastly improved in the furthest corner of my house from the main router now. I’ve also manually set my DNS to cloudfare as my primary and Google as my secondary.

The next piece I want to tackle is setting a manual WiFi channel (which I understand from reading other posts is better than auto). What tools can I use to find the best WiFi channels to set my 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands to? I’m on iOS so I think my options are limited, unless there’s some scanning program I can do on my windows pc or even through the router itself. I’m having trouble wrapping my head around the best WiFi channel settings.

Anything else that I should be looking at adjusting given my setup?

Started hearing water dropping into my chimney flute

I have a prefab fireplace. I recently starting hearing a hollow dropping noise during the rain. As you can see from my crappy photos, the inside is slightly wet after a rain and you can actually see when I open up the damper that the top cap has started to rust through and rainwater gets through the holes. I have an older photo of the cap outside as well so you can see what it looks like. Is my best course of action to just replace the cap? If so what kind of cap should I be looking to buy. I can handle some light DIY tasking and I’m comfortable on my roof.

[MW2] Is there a way I can play the original MW2 multiplayer against bots with progression?

If anyone has a good guide to follow that works as of 2026 please drop the link. I own MW2 on steam.

Booted up [MWR] for the first time in years

I played MWR on release on Xbox and I downloaded it again many years after that when it was free on the PlayStation store but never jumped back into it.

Booted it up for the first time this past week and what a blast of nostalgia. Forgot what a gem this game is. Still a pretty active player base on PSN from what I can tell and never wait more than a minute or two to find a match. It’s really scratched that cod itch like the modern titles can’t.

This may sound like an old man screams at the clouds moment, but they simply don’t make them like they used to. I hope one day we can get my all time favorite cod (MW2) remastered. So if anyone is looking for a decent old school experience, MWR is the way to go. No hackers or anything like that from what I’ve experienced.

I plan to upgrade to the 48v max line once Kobalt gets their act together and puts the products back out for sale (I know some of the tools are available just as the tool only right now).

Anyways, I’ll want to offload my 24v tools like my mower, blower, and string trimmer. Have you guys ever tried selling your older tools before and where have you had success doing so?

I now know about the stop sale issued because of the usb c battery system. I see the tools are now on sale by themselves (minus the mower I don’t see that, but the string trimmer with universal power head, blower, are available by themselves without the batteries).

I have a handful of 24v batteries from my 24v lineup so I could buy the new tools and use my old batteries. But does it make sense to wait until they release with the new batteries again (assuming they’ll do this after addressing the safety issues).

Was pretty excited for this lineup but this stop sale has been a damper.

I know it’s relatively new - so maybe there just weren’t a lot of initial units. I’ve been wanting a universal connect head and I was going to get the 24v one but this new 48v one seems like the move if I can find it.

I’m in the market for a new pair of everyday shoes. Whether that’s running errands, taking a stroll, or bringing them on vacation with me.

I currently wear On Cloud 6s and they’re very comfy and look great but the last pair of On Clouds I have did not last very long and I want to throw another shoe into the rotation before these ones start to degrade too.

What is everyone here wearing?

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve been wearing On Clouds for like 4 years now - however I can’t help but notice they seem to wear extremely fast compared to Nikes I used to buy all the time before switching to On Clouds. I love the way my Cloud 6s look, I can wear them with a lot of outfits.

I’m looking for a comfortable and durable shoe I can wear everyday, whether it’s to run errands or bring them on a vacation to do a lot of walking. What brands/styles should I expand my search to?

Is it worth going somewhere to get my foot scanned? I’ve heard of some people doing that before at running stores.

PS I am a dad so don’t be afraid to throw some “dad shoe” recs my way 😂
