So, a couple weeks ago now I came to the subreddit to ask about some old metal dwarfs I had in my collection (turns out they were longbeards!) And now, here is the first of the batch finally painted up. It's my first time attempting nmm, and I know it's not perfect, but I hope I've done the Ancestors proud!

I've finished four of my Jade Warriors so far, did up a Jade Ogre as a unit filler, and just completed my Gate Master! Really loving how it's all turning out so far. Slow going, but I really like to take my time with my painting. My Gate Master is wearing the Jade Armour of Beichai and wielding the Sword of Nan-Gau!

Just finished painting up a lightly kitbashed ogre to use as a unit filler for my Jade warriors, just need to swap his base lol plus my two painted warriors!

Hey all! A friend and I recently just got the new starter set for old world, and it reminded me that an old friend gave me some metal dwarfs years and years ago now. They look like old metal (maybe pewter?) warhammer fantasy to me, anyone got any idea? I got them in little plastic clamshells alongside what look to be shields and little emblems on sprues. Any idea which old kit this is? Thanks!
Figured I'd join in on showing off my first cathay model lol apart from the face, which I always have trouble with, I'm really happy with how he's turned out!
Hi all! A friend and I just split the new starter set, with me getting the Cathay half. (I've been saying for awhile that if I was gonna get into old world, it would likely be either chaos warriors or Cathay, so either option worked for me lol) I'm going to be building them according to the battle march options, but I'm wondering what is the best way to continue forward with Cathay? I have some experience with gw's other systems, but have never played fantasy/old world. I honestly love all of the model range for Cathay from a visual/design perspective, and do plan on getting the larger models eventually (sentinel, lantern, and Ling) and I love the peasant levy models as well, but what is the best direction to go for a newbie? Are there any must buys? If anything, I'll likely be primarily playing with my friend who got the chaos half, so I'm not looking to build super competitively or anything, if anything, both of us mostly paint and occasionally play lol so should I just follow my heart and get whatever I think looks cool? Thanks in advance!
