Piano black trim?

I know the first and best option for swirl marks and light scratches in piano black pillars is polishing with a polisher pad but i was wondering if anyone ever used and successfully hid any imperfections with a shiny black wax? Im learning new cars scratch and chip insanely easy and i hate piano black trim everywhere that scratches when you look at it. So if anyone uses a black wax on those parts can you tell me a good one to use?? Thanks!

'26 kia sorento paint warranty

Ive had my new car since March and I just noticed this. Do you think it will keep cracking and rust or become a bigger problem?

Tiny rock chip

Please dont respond with saying "its totaled" 🙏

This question is mainly for actual detailers.

*i know its small and I will get more*

As you can see its not deep i cant tell if just the clear coat is missing or the pearl top coat too.

I just dont like having a chip that could chip more paint in the future id love to make this flush with the rest of the paint. My question is should I just order dr colorchip kit , or take it to a detailer to fill, wet sand, and smooth? I have a consult on monday with one to look at it. Its a '26 kia sorento in glacial white pearl. Thankyou in advance.

Crack

I got a patio poured last spring and i noticed a hairline crack here at one of the joints before winter(I live in PA) and i was gonna push some sikaflex or some concrete caulk in it before water froze in it and made it worse but i never did and the crack has widened a wee lil bit but my question is... is it even a good idea to do that or should I just leave it alone? I was hoping itd keep that chunk from falling the whole way off..?

P.s. please dont tell me how all concrete cracks, im very aware and am ok with that, just asking if I could prevent this chunk from cracking the whole off.

Thank you in advance for all your experienced advice!!

Rock chip touch up

I noticed a rock chip on my back bumper while on vacation, prob from the 300 miles of highway, and I had a oem touch up paint pen so I came home and dabbed 2 thin coats with a toothpick and the color doesnt look solid, like you can still see the dark gray underneath but i did as many coats as I could without having a heaping blob over it... i know its really small but for a brand new car, it sticks out like a sore thumb to me😔 anyway, im kinda afraid to "finalize" this with the clear coat but i guess i should just dab on some clear coat and call it a day....

SEM trim paint

I have a tiny rock chip(not deep just exposed the color underneath) on my 2026 kia sorento s, on the shiny black window trim. I was deciding which would be best to mask the white/gray dot thats exposed- solutions trim dye/restorer or a touch up paint... Google says the dye isnt recommended for the trim its more for matte faded trim so I looked up the sem trim paints and there are several glossy.. can anybody help me to know which one would be best for my car?

Kia sorento wont let me start my car first thing in am

I have a 2026 sorento s, bought it in march with 10 miles and now has 1,700 miles. Shortly after buying it I noticed in the morning when id go out to start my car, my brake would be stiff and and I couldnt start my car. There would be a no key detected light flashing. It happened here and there over the next few months but not its happening just about every day when go to start my car for the first time of each day. I have to step out of the car lock it then unlock it then itll let me. I have requested a service appt and waiting for a call back but just curious if any kia techs on here have seen this issue. I have tried replacing my key fob battery even though it is new.. its pretty frustrating!😩

Swirl marks on b pillars?

Is there a way to get swirl marks and light scratches out of piano black exterior trim peices on the doors? If so, will a detailer do it if I took it to one? Theres no visable scratches on these in the pic they are just glares but i can see them.. prob from the car wash which I wont be going to anymore

Car theft system?

Ok im gonna lose it.. I got a '26 sorento s in march and something is triggering by anti theft system bc 3-4 times a week when i unlock it in the am to take my daughter to school it won't let me start the car. I have to start it with the kia access app on my phone then it works. Its so frustrating! I have no clue what could be triggering it. It only happens in the am the first time i start it. Any one else experience this with a new kia? I assumed with all the problems they had in the past they upped their theft system but this is wild.

Door edge scuff

My daughter opened my new car door in our carport and grazed the wood post. I know its really small but this is likely primer and not metal, right? Would this rust if I dont touch it up?

Paint...

I have a '26 kia sorento in supposedly the dreaded white and ive been noticing paint defects here and there nothing major, i showed them the one at my first oil change on the weld crease up under the license plate and they said theyd ve in touch to get it to a shop and then today when in my trunk I noticed paint defects up by the hinge. Would you do report these also even though theyre in a "hidden" place and not on the exterior part of the car?? Idk what to do.. im not sure id theyd ever start to peel or rust? I cant feel the lines with my finger on the ones by the hinge...

Oil change?

I have a '26 sorento I bought in March, after reading people's suggestions on here of not listening to the manuals recommended oil intervals. They told me to bring it in to have the firsr one done at 6k miles, I plan to get my first oil change earlier and then do them every 3-5k miles. Im going on a trip in a few weeks nothing crazy its 700ish miles round trip, but I am wondering if i should get my first oil change and fresh oil before my trip I will be at roughly 1800 miles...or wait until I get back and do it when im around 3k miles?
