Are any of the sets released in the past year any good with a showdown deck or say the card fight vanguard decks?

I’m new to the game and am wanting to build some casual decks.

New to shadowverse but familiar with TCG’s. Are the new sets pretty easy to build decks out of or singles the way to go? I see some of the most recent ones are combined sets, does that mean double the cards or just combined for US vs Asia? Does this game have good starter trial decks like vanguard?

My store just got in some boxes of set DZ-BT 08-10 and I was wondering what decks would be ideal to start with and then build off of with those sets. I do not anticipate a big locals scene I think there’s five of us total but I’m down to learn and watch the anime too. There is also a lyrical box set but that looked like a premier set.

I was looking at the tier starter decks to start with.

I played my buddy yesterday and I was Iliad/TS and he was Titanmon.

He repeatedly on multiple turns would play a card that moved memory over to my side and then started using his devolution stack “once per turns” to resolve them all and take his time doing them.

Doesn’t his turn immediately end when memory goes to my side and the ONLY effects that happen are “end of turn”?

Hi I am a returning player and my last sets were blazing vortex/dawn of majesty. I have picked up the modern 2026 and modern 5Ds decks to practice with but wanted to ask about the 2025 Tins and Legendary Collection Kaiba boxes and similar product. Are they pointless in comparison to just building out decks via singles or would cards in there complement any meta deck or help a poor archetype deck compete? The description says so but I feel like it’s a trap.

Just bought a Lawless Jabba precon deck and found no rules pamphlet because I wasn’t aware it wasn’t a “starter deck”. I know, im typing on a glorious knowledge brick in my pocket, i can look stuff up. I’m checking the website right now for rules but seems most of you have mentioned the Hoth Intro box. Are all the decks that are sold all precon and not beginner friendly?
