i want to move to japan but there’s so many things stopping me

first off i wanna say, although i do love anime and manga, i am NOT one of the weebs. i love japan for more than just those things, im autistic and im very hyperfixated on it. however loads of things stop me. for starters i am australian, i would have to learn a whole new language and that will be incredibly difficult. secondly, im 19, how will i get a job, pay for a house etc. i’m also autistic, dyspraxic, have pcos, but how will the Japanese react to my stimming. will the understand? what’s the autism awareness there? my friend says they will just see me as quirky. another issue is that i’m lesbian, and gay marriage isn’t legal, though i love living alone so i wouldn’t linde the solitude life. the other thing is that im not travel trained well i can adapt, the main issue is my family. i love them, and im sure they’d be happy if i moved there, but i wont get to see them as much, they are my foster family but to me they’re my real family. my biological mum and i aren’t close, she’s intellectually disabled and mentally ill. she loved me to death but i do not love her as much for personal reasons, but my move would destroy her. she will have a meltdown and call my foster mum and foster mum doesn’t wanna deal with that. but i wanna move there SOOOO BAD

does anyone else hate it when their special interests get slandered?

so i attended an employment agency 3 days a week and its basically a work education course. we are very chill (most of us anyway), and some of us are gamers and anime watchers. i made a reference to a few things im hyperfixated abt rn: resident evil, aot and previously fnaf. i made a joke abt them to my mentor, who got it and we just joked between us then suddenly another trainee randomly butted in and said those things were irrelevant. i didn’t cry, but i was still upset, bc i love all those things and i dont think they’re irrelevant. another thing that happened was when i was in school. everyone around loves football, especially our local teams. i, however, have never had an interest in it. which was fine, i have my own interests so ill stick to those. but whenever id talk to my friends about my interests, other people would randomly butt in and say “nobody likes _, everyone loves football” this continued for several years, so much so that i would have meltdowns, HATE, like actually HATE football and i would hate myself for having such “bad interests”, now i just don’t care, but even still slander on them i don’t like and it actually upsets me. anyone else?

my upper bicep is getting bigger, and i've moved on from 5kg per arm to 7.5kg per arm at gym. does this mean i'm getting stronger? how good is this improvement? will i get muscle-y biceps? (i was born with severe hypotonia)?

first time watching aot

i am a few episodes into season 1. i like it so far. is it as peak as everyone claims it is? it’s so popular, my therapist said it was good and then my boss said he’s watched it thrice!

for context, i don't watch it. idk what it's abt. i do though love some anime's. not the horrible weird ones, ones like berserk 1997, aot, vinland saga, jjk etc. i was at school, minding my own business on my phone when a guy makes a judgemental comment saying
"you have a lot of anime and manga on your phone. that says a lot about you". yet he says 50 shades of gray is a fantastic movie and it's his fav. my friend jumped to my defence and said he can't be talking and judging me when he loves 50 shades of gray.

we don’t really have a limit, we are mature adults so violence and romance and are okay. there’s specific types of animation she won’t watch. idk what it’s called but she describes it looking like powerpuff girls. i think neon genesis evangelion style is also if the picture. she can’t have weird animation and needs a good storyline. not too weird or corny

already excluded/out:
a silent
your name
berserk
grave of the fireflies
