When I first saw this clip I laughed out loud cause of how abruptly detailed it was, and as much as I liked it I was cautious cause I wasn’t sure how people thought of it representation wise, I had to research if his character depiction was widely given a bad rating.

Just watching it by itself I wouldn’t have known; I already appreciate Indian culture and grew up watching Raj on Big Bang Theory and the internet often said his character encouraged stereotyping.

As a Canadian white girl who loves learning about other cultures I find Pavitr slightly less stereotyped and most of the time much funnier. I definitely find Miles and Gwen as unique mixes and twists on familiar tropes while being very fresh and original characters, so why not Pavitr? Also has some of the best lines.

This is a mashup of some of my favorite quips from Andrew’s Spider-Man I made several months ago on my first spidey binge. They still make me laugh, especially the “wHat aRe YoU dOinG heRe?!!!”

I used to think their universes actually don’t look that way to the characters, but the “Spider-Noir can see colors he just never has cause his universe is in greyscale” discussion got a lot of attention and now I can’t stop thinking this is either a flaw or underexplored topic. In many scenes in Gwen’s watercolor mood ring universe her hair appears green. You can barely see the chairs and tables in her house because it’s washed out by pinks and oranges. That makes me sad for her. Miles universe looks so real and cozy. So does she see this or not? “Well it’s been that way her whole life”. Okay. Then she would have “culture shock” when visiting a normal looking universe like Miles, if their universes actually have visual differences to the characters living in them.

What do y’all think of this? Cause now I see to her the sky is pink. She must be an alien.

This is a four-frame animation using the **Primary Pencil** brush for the lines and the **watercolor** pen for the shading.I’m tracing a reference from Across the Spider-Verse SpiderGwen frame by frame, combined with a reference from my old sketchbook app art to customize my character's hair and goggles.

I'm going for a wonky, pencil-scratch look and I'm really happy with how it's turning out so far. Let me know what you think!

I have a recent appreciation for Peter B Parker’s voice, I don’t think it’s very Spidey-y but it definitely is a big part of his character for me, as every Spider character is tbh. Another Spider voice I love a ton is Andrew Garfield, and people don’t talk about that enough in terms of what his voice added to his awesome version of Spider-Man.

Sony might’ve said screw off to him or something cause his sequel was “utter ass” and he didn’t show up for something cause HE HAD A COLD (I don’t buy it the reasons for him getting fired are whack) but couldn’t he voice a new variant in Beyond the Spider Verse? I think there’s a lot of potential there.

I bet this is is a controversial topic, I’ve always read acetone on here loving the art style in her comics. But every time I try to get into her comics, when I see the artwork i always feel… aw man. Like a rock in my stomach.

I find the art style hard to connect to at best, and disturbing at worst. I find it impossible to emphasize with Gwen in her comics, but with Spider-Man I find his comics very immersive and easy to connect to. Especially the way her eyes look in the second panel (small but square?). I also have an issue with the classic black headband of Gwen Stacy being slapped on an alternate version of Gwen who has a completely different life, personality and hairstyle. I get that that’s an identifying detail to show readers she’s a version of Gwen, but it never matched to me.

I hope this question makes sense. Do you think the design for SpiderGwen’s mask eyes, particularly in the Spiderverse movies, were adapted to look more feminine?… because her eyes are typically the widest out of all of the spider-people (with the exception of Spider-Punk which is a whole other thing)

I find it hard to imagine that Gwen‘s face is underneath the mask the entire time while talking and fighting, but any spider person has that effect on me cause the mask seems like a face in itself.

Her mask eyes just look so cute and it had me wondering if the animators set it up that way on purpose cause her comics and animate series don’t seem to have the same look in terms of “cuteness”.

This is my superhero I’ve been working on and I cannot figure out a good hero name for her. Her name is Brooke Delavigne and she has cryogenic ice powers from an experimental vaccine in her universe. The vaccine combined with her falling out of her plane and into the cold ocean and hydrogen therapy gave her her powers so I e been trying to name her something after that. She hates her vaccine with all her guts so she wouldn’t name herself Vaxwoman, and I love the name Glacier but it’s already taken by DC. Iceberg, Deep Freeze, Zero, Whiteout, Cold Shot, Aero, they all sound cheesy and generic and not her and takes away from the story. I need help and open to anything off the top of your head! Feel free to ask me any questions about Brooke too :)))))
