ISO a recipe for something vegan and savoury with the texture of banana bread

Basically the title. I probably could create something like this but not looking to go through the trial and error process at this time. I’m thinking probably a base of blended silken tofu or white beans, with flour and then stuff for flavour.

I know there are lots of zucchini bread recipes, but the few that aren’t sweet look to have more of a traditional bread texture than the moist and dense banana bread texture.

Tofu ‘quiche’ is great, but usually doesn’t have quite the structural integrity I’m looking for. A slice that could be handheld like banana bread would be ideal.

Please help! This would replace non-vegan options my partner eats while walking to work.

Experiences with Lume? And any other recommendations?

When I get out of the shower, I smell fine. Then within 20 mins, I start sweating and smelling again. My doctor is suggesting botox, but I really want to exhaust all other reasonable options first.

I currently don’t apply any sort of deodorant to the mucous membrane area of my vulva. I use an all body deodorant on my thigh folds/outside of my vulva, and that’s helpful, but I’m under the impression it should not be applied to the inner labia/mucous membranes.

I’ve heard Lume can be applied to this area. Anyone used it? Does it mitigate odour rather than just covering it up (I would use the unscented option)? Are there any consequences of long term use?

And does anyone have any other tried and true options for sweat/odour prevention specifically for the inner labia/mucous membrane part of the vulva?

NB: I don’t have any sort of infection/irritation, it’s just hyperhidrosis and the resultant BO. I have issues in other parts of my body but can use things like aluminium chloride and glycolic acid to help, but can’t use these on this specific area.

Persistent BO smell in clothes…looking for Australian recommendations

We have several shirts that no matter how many times we wash them, the underarms continue to smell. We’ve tried pre soaking with vinegar, adding citric acid to the wash, no luck.

Fabric types are mixed, but most of the items are cotton. Some polyester.

~70% of our clothes are fine after one wash, so not sure what it is about the remaining or what we need to do differently with them. Towels come out smelling fine.

We do a cold wash (20C), which we want to continue, so ideally products that work for this. Currently using OMO Ultimate. We have a front loader. Usually air dry, occasionally tumble dry but try to avoid it.

Open to changing our detergent, but would prefer a powder option. Open to adding in a sanitiser that works with cold washes, and/or pretreatment options. Would prefer to avoid a pre-soak if possible, but will do it if it’s the only option.

Does anyone have any suggestions of helpful products I can access in Australia? TIA

I really needed to hear today’s gospel

‘Come to me all who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.’

Sometimes, God really makes a point of reminding you that he’s there. I’ve been having such a tough time lately, trying to figure out how on earth to cope with what’s facing me. In times like these, I can switch into feeling like I have to rely on myself alone, and forget to take things to God. But today in the gospel reading, I was reminded that he is there for me, for exactly these sorts of situations.

I just wanted to share, in case anyone else also needs to hear this today.

Counselling student looking for related jobs

Hi! I’m a counselling masters student, looking to start working in something adjacent to the field before I graduate. I’ve heard that most people need to do a few years in something adjacent before being able to actually land a counselling job, so I’d also like to get a head start on that process.

I’m aware that case management is an option, and assisting with ABA therapy. Also support work (are there options other than cleaning/transporting?)

What else should I be looking at? And any tips/lessons you’ve learned in the process? TIA

NB: this is not a ‘please give me a job’ post, but rather a ‘what types of jobs should I consider applying for?’ post

Related job options? (Australia)

Hi! I’m a masters student, looking to eventually get into counselling, but most people I speak to say that you have to work a few years in a related job before you can actually land a counselling role. I’m trying to find something to start during my studies, that I can continue on with for a few years before moving to counselling.

I know case management is a common option, and that there are some assistant therapist ABA roles. I know support work is often recommended, but in my understanding this is mostly cleaning and driving to appointments- are there other aspects of this I’m not aware of? What else should I be considering? I already volunteer, not looking for more volunteer options, specifically paid.

Please note I am in Australia, and will be a PACFA/ACA registered counsellor (unless that changes with the National standards), not a psychologist.

Mandatory reporting

Not an actual situation I’m in, but something I’m curious about, which I could potentially encounter in the future.

If you’re a mandatory reporter, and have been told that a particular person is an adult, but they’re actually a minor, what is your liability if they disclose something that should be reported, but you don’t realise needs to be reported because you believe the victim to be an adult?

Presumably the victim in this situation has asked you not to do anything about it, the perpetrator does not have access to other children, and so you believe that you are not obligated to report. I’m thinking specifically for situations where you are bound by confidentiality except for cases of child abuse.

Can you be held accountable for not reporting?
