This tour has changed me the way I look at people, money, places, things, values, etc.

A revelation tbh. My ex broke up with me after 6 yrs into the relationship. Reached out to her for several months after breakup and then I felt bad for disturbing her when she has decided to call it off.

Quit my job in IT as a DevOps Engineer. Bought this bike in Feb, small South tour of 2100kms in 7 days. HYD - Hampi - Mysore - Ooty - BLR - HYD. Thought I can do more than this.

I told my parents I'll be riding solo for a month. My plan was to reach Shangarh, where I own a property named RAFA Shangarh.

My first and only destination was Mahabaleshwar. Later on, it took so many unexpected turns and ended up on a coastline ride across India.

Started this ride on Jun 12 2025 and ended on Aug 24 2025.

75 days and 12000 kms later, I came out of everything that pulled me back. The relationship, the job, the society, the money and what not.

There were times when I cried inside my helmet while riding saying to myself "She would have loved this place".

There were times when I thought, will I be able to cross this or ride through this?

There were times when I thought, what if something happens?

There were times when I thought I wouldn't make it alive when riding through Zanskar.

And here I am.

Posting this, to help people who wanna take long solo rides.

AMA if you wanna know anything or are afraid of doing anything solo.

Borrowed the sheets from Acho Camping, the one in front.

That was a magical night, heavy dinner in a local dhaba, -5°, looking at the star studded sky, a camp beside me and this crazy single mountain in front of me.

Reliving this experience while posting this.

I met solo youtuber named Harshit (DOI Wheels) and Jon Snow.

Surprisingly, he mentioned about Shangarh, staying in RAFA (which I'm a co-owner) and then we shared a coffee, talked about a lot of things. And parted our ways in Manali after Shinku La.

The Detailed Part

2024 Oct - 6+ yrs unde relationship lo oka doctor tho. But somehow breakup aindhi. Last 2.5yrs in long distance. But month ko oka week akkadne makaam. Aina kuda em cheyalekapoyinam.

That's the starting point for a whole new journey into looking for myself.

They agreed. Really it takes a lot of guts for them to say YES for this.

Jun 12 2025 - Mahabaleshwar, the only destination in mind.

Inka akkadnundi MH, GJ, RJ, J&K, Ladakh, Zanskar, HP, UP, JH, Hyd

Ala anni thirigesina - 12000 kms in 75 fu***ng days.

This travel has changed me in multiple ways.

Siachen lo land slide ainappudu, local guy took around 30 travellers to their home at around 10PM without informing their family. He had 3 daughters and a wife. 4 room house.

It was fully packed with strangers. They even cooked food in the night and fed all the strangers.

No amount of money can give you food and water that night. Ni deggara 2 Lakhs unna kuda lekkapetkoni jebulo petkovadam thappithey inka em chesedhi ledu.

That incident lived on with me. Started seeing money in a different way.

Zanskar lo 180kms lo 130kms offroad unde. Water crossing chusinappidalla ucha padthunde. Kindha apdithey etla lepthanu bike ani.

I was the solo rider towards Zangla that day from Leh. I took Leh - Wanla - Sirsir La - Singe La - Zangla route.

Just saw 3 bikers who are moving towards Leh.

Nuv ninda muniginaaka neek inko option ledu eduru eedhadam thappa. I was in the same situation. I have to go to Zangla, there's no other way.

I reached Zangla in the evening. Iga aa day bhayam anedhi poyindhi.

Finally came out of the breakup grief.

But yeah I'm loving it. I'm understanding the business slowly. But work aithe chaala ardam aithundhi.

Whatever happened in my life was for good. That's how I took it.

We may not know why it happened. But one fine day you'll realise, it happened for good.

Life is simple. Just live it without comparing with others.

You don't know the entire story of other persons.

Stop judging people just by looking at things.

23 to 25 full time at my last company.

I'm happy with where I am and what I am right now.

My life is full of experiences.

My entire family knows what I am.

I don't have to prove to some online person who can't even put their real name.

Life is simple.

Don't make it complicated by over thinking.

I get it. People have so many responsibilities with them. Many times they can't do what they want to due to these responsibilities. But I wish everyone to DO WHAT YOU LOVE or LOVE WHAT YOU DO. Either this or that and there's no in between.

I was in IT for almost 8 yrs (on & off) and quit for multiple reasons, did so many things for almost 18 months and thought why can't I give a try at my father's business which is Welding (fabrication) workshop.
