I know a few Xav mains on twt who are like hoping he would return, but also won't care if he doesn't - (they are more invested in XavMC bday dress than him being released lol)

I have to hand it to the dev team - they definitely know how to keep the audience engaged. And I don't mean just the mini games - even the in game animations, battle animations etc.

From now on, whenever the official Love and Deepspace team drops an announcement, event update, or surprise treat Otto will automatically bring it straight here. I think some of you have already seen Otto in action when I was test running in the sub.

Honestly, I've wanted to build an autobot ever since I first joined this sub as a mod, but shelved it a while back as my original plan was to pull straight from the official LADS Twitter/X account, but since Twitter charges a monthly fee just to let a bot read public tweets I had to stop the project (I am broke guys).

So a huge shoutout to the mod of Calebmains sub - whose own bot gave me the idea to go a different route: to use Discord instead of Twitter.

How it works:

-🤖 Checks the official announcement channels every 5 minutes

-🤖 Only posts things matching this sub's chosen Love Interests

-🤖 Every post is clearly labeled as automated, with a link back to the original source and a way to contact us mods if anything seems wrong.

One limitation to flag: there's currently no way to embed a video directly inside the post itself — Reddit's post format only supports embedding images this way, not video.

(I am working on it so hopefully videos will be up soon)

Also worth mentioning: since this bot depends on Discord mirroring the official announcements, it might occasionally be a little late — I remember getting a Discord notification for an event hours after it had already gone up on Twitter. So if that happens now and then, I appreciate your understanding in advance.
