We're a young couple. Husband works remote, I will be commuting to office near Irvine Spectrum.

We don't have any friends here, but some in LA so would like to drive into LA on weekends. We want good restaurants, good bars, etc. Is Costa Mesa a good choice?

If anyone moved from San Francisco, how does it compare in terms of restaurant and bar density?

Planning our wedding, obviously there's so much we can do.

Elements we're considering:

1. Live singer/band
2. Lasers/full nightclub set-up
3. Aerial pourers for cocktail hour
4. Merch booth with claw machines

We want guests to be engaged and always have something fun to do! What was something you experienced or had at your wedding that your guests can't stop talking about?

2 questions:

1. What did you use your cricut for? I know the obvious ones like invites and table numbers but wondering if there's things I'm not thinking of

2. How much do you think you saved by having a cricut?

I'm from the US so not as good at finding vendors in Toronto, BB Blanc (my venue's vendor) quoted me:

2100+service for a 3 hr Jazz Trio OR $14k for a 7 piece band

That feels like... a lot? To be honest, I just want a singer, MAYBE guitar, just for a few songs during cocktail and then maybe sing the first dance. I'm thinking... Local music college? I'm down to pay but 14k feels egregious

My husband and I have tickets to sunday but are no longer available that day. Anyone willing to swap for Friday or Saturday? Willing to pay a trade fee if you want

I’m an american bride marrying a canadian in Toronto, who do you tip and don’t tip in terms of vendors?

We have tips for service people accounted for but what about:
- Planner
- Florist
- Band
- DJ

I’m thinking about renting a private room for 2hrs of bday karaoke for 15-20 people. My top choices so far are Pandora, TaishoSF and Festa.

Pandora seems like the nicest option and I love the vibe but seems on the pricier side with bottles and requires a 3hr min booking.

Taisho is much more reasonable but only serves sake and beer and rooms aren’t as cool.

Festa seems like an in-between option.

Open to other suggestions too! Thanks!

Did anyone have a wedding where you wanted DJ to play almost like a EDC/Coachella DJ set?

We want some pop and possibly some top 40 but majority we want mixed into harder EDM and house. We are concerned traditional DJ’s are too corny.

I bought my Vera Wang in a sample sale. I need the bust area redone and the dress needs to be shortened. Ideally I find a tailor that is experienced in Vera Wang ballgowns. Anyone have experience?

Dog is 15, she's always been insanely picky eater. She has pancreatis so is on Hill's food. When she has Vestibular syndrome a week ago, she became EVEN pickier with food. She won't eat much. She'll take some treats but will tire of it and not want to eat a lot. She has nibbled at some boiled chicken, some sweet potato, licked some baby food but truly is not getting anywhere near enough food. We've also tried doggy bone broth, salmon, etc. Just not doing it.

She has lost 3% body weight in the last week. Vet has prescribed fool firmer, anti-nausea, appetite stimulant and still she is not interested in eating.

I'm considering food-processing food and just rubbing it into her mouth, I'm out of ideas, really worried.

She's drinking water normal, head is tilted still but improved a lot since last week (no longer falling). Any tips on getting dog to eat?

I have a few friends who all booked the private EDC cars this year. One friend said they reached out and said the company replied with they will call and book us by May 1. But it's now way past.

A 2nd friend reached out last week, and they responded: no booking needed, just come outside to the lobby to the car area and they'll arrange it anytime before midnight...

Anyone else have more accurate info?

I have extremely sensitive skin and pretty much this one mineral spray on sunscreen is the only one that doesn’t cause my skin to hurt like acid lol any chance I can bring it in? What if I transfer out of aerosol and into a tiny spray bottle? Anyone help 🥲
