Accidentally bought a Child ticket instead of a Youth ticket on Rede Expressos – how strict are the drivers?

Hi there,

I made a booking mistake on the Rede Expressos website for a trip from Lisbon Sete Rios to Lagos. I have two teenagers traveling with me who both qualify for the Youth (13–29) discount tier.

However, by accident, I selected Child (4–12) for one of them and Youth for the other. This means one of my teenagers (22 years old) is currently holding an underpaid "Child" ticket.

I tried to fix it online using the "Revalidation" tool, but the website only lets me change the date or time, not the fare category.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

  1. Are the drivers at Sete Rios very strict about checking IDs for the "Child" discount tier if a teenager holds the ticket?
  2. I'd prefer to get this sorted out now. Trying to this the day of will be stressful.
  3. If I show up 45 minutes early, can the physical ticket counter at Sete Rios just let me pay the price difference to upgrade the Child ticket to a Youth ticket?

Obrigado for any advice!

AirPods Pro 2 repair replacement — slight physical mismatch + uneven audio between L/R (A3047/A3048)

I had my Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) serviced by Apple, and one earbud was replaced.

Now I’m noticing two issues:

What I’m seeing:
Left/right earbuds have minor cosmetic differences (mesh color, finish, etc.)
Audio is no longer perfectly balanced — one side sounds slightly different in tone/clarity

Model numbers:
Left: A3048
Right: A3047
So both are AirPods Pro 2, but they don’t seem perfectly matched anymore.

What I’ve already tried:
Forget device + re-pair
Full reset (hold button on case until amber/white cycle)
Checked iOS audio balance/accessibility settings
Ensured firmware is up to date

Question:
Could this be:

A mismatch in internal revision/production batches from Apple replacement stock?
A calibration issue that eventually resolves?
Or is it possible Apple paired two earbuds that aren’t acoustically matched anymore?

Curious if anyone else has seen L/R imbalance after Apple repair and whether it resolved over time or required another replacement.

LG WM4200HBA front-load washer “record scratch” sound when rotating drum by hand — debris or bearing issue?

Hi all — looking for some help diagnosing a noise on my LG WM4200HBA/01 front-load washer.

I recorded a short video of the issue (link).

The problem:

  • When I rotate the drum by hand (washer off), I hear a light “record scratching / rubber friction” sound
  • It happens both clockwise and counterclockwise
  • It feels slightly rough, like something is lightly scraping inside
  • During normal operation it’s most noticeable at low-speed tumbling
  • High-speed spin seems mostly normal (no loud roaring or shaking yet)

What I’ve checked so far:

  • Door gasket (doesn’t look obviously torn or folded)
  • Drum spins freely otherwise, no obvious wobble
  • No visible leaks
  • Sound is consistent with rotation, not random

Questions:

  • Does this sound like debris (bra wire/coin/etc. between drum and tub)?
  • Or could this be an early bearing/seal issue?
  • Is there a safe way to confirm before disassembling further?

Appreciate any insight—trying to avoid unnecessary teardown if possible.

Hey all—looking for some advice on whether this is reasonable or if I should keep pushing.

Car: 2019 Honda Fit

About ~2 years ago I had front struts replaced at a national chain shop. I chose to go with their supplied KYB parts (instead of bringing my own) specifically so I’d have easier warranty support if anything went wrong.

Fast forward to now—both front strut boots are torn and cracking badly. The failure is identical on both sides (dry rot + splitting across the folds), not impact damage. From what I can tell, that’s not normal this soon. I live in SoCal and just drive around the city.

Important context:

-Original repair wasn’t smooth—they initially replaced the wrong parts (rear shocks), then corrected it after I came back

-They acknowledged that mistake at the time

-Now this new issue popped up <2 years later

I brought it back and here’s what they’re offering:

-Replace parts (possibly full strut assemblies)

-Do alignment

-BUT I still pay ~$450 labor

-They won’t budge on labor even after talking to the district manager.

Questions:

-Is ~$450 labor for front struts on a Fit reasonable?

-Does this kind of symmetric boot failure point more to cheap parts / bad components vs normal wear?

-If they are replacing full strut assemblies, does that make this a fair deal even if I’m paying labor?

-Should I push harder on labor given the history, or just take the deal and move on?

Also trying to confirm if they’re using KYB Excel-G vs a lower tier version.

Appreciate any insight—especially from techs who’ve seen this kind of failure pattern.
