I have another engineer squad assembled and waiting to be painted, and coming in the mail I've got a Horus Heresy Leman Russ and a Deathstrike for the lulz
I haven't won a knights game in a long time. My latest game vs dark angels had me concede round 3 with a score of 0-34. Yeah.
I joined imperial knights because I hoped it would be somewhat easy to play, having previously played Drukhari exclusively.
My games have been vs two different tyranids players and one dark angel player. One of the tyranid players uses the Swarmlord, his 4++ and FNP making him very tough. The other uses a Norn (I forget which one) that gets bonuses on an objective. The dark angel player I've played three times and he uses a different list each time, sometimes with the lion sometimes with sammael, but it doesn't matter, I die horribly every time. As I said above, most recently I got 0 VP, I didn't even score any secondaries. I brought 5 big knights. He killed three on turn 2, leaving me with just two.
I don't even know how to begin asking for help. I've got two magnetised Questoris, Canis Rex, Castellan, Valiant, Destrier, two Helverins, two Warglaives, and I just picked up a Cerastus Lancer.
Their damage output looks pretty bad aside from the free grenade strat. Are they just good for doing actions? Is it best to take them as 5 man or 10 man squads?
I need to buy some paints to get started on that part of this.
I grabbed all the Krieg kits my FLGS had. I'm going to run Krieg with one of my Imperial Knights.
Does anyone have a list of citadel paints that GW used for the models on the boxes? I really like that paint scheme.
I've faced a couple different DA players with a variety of lists and have lost all of them quite badly. Most recent was 58-20. Their volume of decent AP shooting, good melee, speed, and durability just seems unbeatable. My T13 Castellan was killed in one charge by The Lion.
I'll be refereeing my first Traveller game soon and have been looking for print outs for vehicle layouts and other useful resources. For example a printable air/raft for minis to be placed on, or a pinnace ship.
Unrelated... But how do you handle "pinnace" so it doesn't sound like a body part? I just know my friends at the table are going to be snickering every time I say it.
I've played two games today, 4 Armigers and a Castellan. Lost both games quite badly. First was against tyranids (Norn destroyed me) and second was against Necrons.
Is it better to take only 3 or 4 models that are bigger?
Years ago I had a sizeable collection of PS1 and PS2 JRPGs but life happened and I had to sell them all. Instead of trying to get all those hard to find games again, I'm working on mostly physical copies for the Switch.
I'm familiar with Final Fantasy and Tales series. Others not so much. I've put a few hours into Xenoblade 1 and not sure I like the combat system. Fire Emblem Three Houses I actually played about 10+ hours in but that was over five years ago and I've forgotten most of it.
I remember Exalted was talked about back in the 2000s, is that still a thing? Is it good? Or what is a good RPG that focuses on character development and also relatively high power (as opposed to being a level 1 adventurer in dnd or a typical OSR game)
